Matthew Tyrmand is one of the Project Veritas board of directors, which on Monday made a series of allegations about the conduct of the controversial organization's founder and now-former CEO James O'Keefe. Project Veritas describes itself as conducting undercover reporting to expose "corruption, dishonesty, self-dealing, waste, fraud, and other misconduct in both public and private institutions." However, the organization's reportage has often been seen as false or misleading.

Isn’t it peculiar that false and misleading is always attached to any reporting of dem corruption and wrongdoing ?

Looks like Project Veritas is the latest organization to be destroyed from the inside by infiltration of its leadership group. Appears to be a winning strategy. Maybe the way to dismantle the Democrats is to infiltrate them as well, find out what they are really doing, publicize it, start dissension in their membership, and vote out their most effective leaders too.

James O'Keefe is just the latest founder of an organization that I've seen pushed out by his BOD. I can name 4 or 5 others. They give different reasons, but it almost always is about money - millions of dollars in donations.

Ties to DeSantis. Another reason that I don't think DeSantis is who he is portraying himself to be. He is a mole, he is a false flag.

Leftist "journalists" must always claim Project Veritas videos are false or misleading, because if they are true (which they are) then Democrat leaders are all a bunch of hypocrites, liars, and crooks.

Didn't have much time to look, but three things caught my attention, which might bring Tyrmand into focus: 1. He hates Trump and is in the De Santis camp (a ploy to make the 'best' enemy of the 'good' by dividing the later's constituency?) 2. Strongly identifies with his Polish ancestry, which means he is sympathetic with it's ally Ukraine, and 3. Hates Putin, thus embracing Cold War II.

The PV Board screwed themselves. PV is DOA. O'Keefe is a Phoenix, and will rise again, stronger than ever. PV Board quietly enters the dustbin of history.

As member states of the World Health Organization (WHO) prepare to gather in Switzerland next week to negotiate final terms of an accord that will give the WHO centralized authority over U.S. policy in the case of a pandemic, Republican senators are pushing back with an effort to reinforce congressional power to authorize treaties. The draft accord, which would be “legally binding” on all 194 member nations, gives the WHO the authority to declare pandemics and submits member countries to “the central role of the WHO as the directing and coordinating authority on international health work,” in areas like lockdowns, treatments, medical supply chains, surveillance,

According to new provisional data from the Scottish government, there were 7,314 deaths registered in January 2023, an increase of 17.7% compared to the average of 6,212. For the second week of January, there were more deaths in Scotland than ever before, including during the peak of the pandemic. Concurrently, there were 4,159 births registered in January 2023, a decrease of 6.8% compared to the average of 4,463. In other words, between a dearth of births and a plethora of deaths, there were roughly 1,400 fewer souls, the equivalent of roughly 86,000 in the United States. This is long after COVID. In 2015, then-Wisconsin GOP Gov. Scott Walker was seen as one of the party's strongest prospects to win back the White House, as he had become a star among conservatives over his moves to curb the powers of public-sector unions. Headed into the 2016 presidential election, many expected Walker to dominate the Republican primaries and earn the party's nomination to face former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. But then Donald Trump happened.

In 1912, former Georgia congressman and onetime vice presidential candidate Tom Watson published The Roman Catholic Hierarchy, a reprise of his voluminous anti-Catholic polemics and speeches. To him, Catholics constituted an alien and immoral subversive force bent on turning America into a vassal state of the Vatican. Quoth Watson, “We have heard the potentates of this faith in America confess that, on an issue between our Government and the Pope, they would adhere to Papa.” Based in no small part on the popularity of his virulent anti-Catholicism, Watson was elected to the U.S. Senate. By the 1920s, the Ku Klux Klan had become a politically powerful organization

Experts are calling for an investigation into a Stacey Abrams-founded charity over a large financial discrepancy. The New Georgia Project, a minority-focused democracy advocacy group founded in 2013, was run by Nse Ufot, hand-picked by Abrams, until she was fired in October. The group filed its 2021 Form 990 financial disclosure three months later, when the form was two months overdue, an investigation by the Washington Free Beacon found. The group reported a $533,846 consulting payment and $67,500 grant to an obscure charity called the Black Male Initiative, run by Ufot's brother. However, the group claims it never received any such payment.

America has been drifting toward a level of corruption incompatible with a free society and a free-market economy. Political and economic freedom depend on the presence of a level of honesty that makes it possible for people to interact with one another with a sense of trust. Consider recent corrupt, criminal events and their implication for the future of American culture. An estimated $20 billion was stolen from California’s unemployment compensation program. The money was largely taken by criminals already incarcerated in California prisons using prison computers. Outside accomplices would pick up the money, according to the Sacramento district attorney I interviewed

The White House said Wednesday it moved one step closer to meeting its offshore wind energy goals by announcing the first lease sale for developments in the Gulf of Mexico. President Joe Biden set a goal of having 30 gigawatts of offshore wind installed by 2030, with another 15 GW coming from floating turbine installations by 2035. To reach that goal, the administration said it opened its first lease sale for offshore wind in the Gulf of Mexico. Three lease areas off Texas and Louisiana could support the development of enough wind energy to meet the demands of nearly 1.3 million average households, the White House in a fact sheet.

The Ukrainians have not only held their own, but have managed to liberate a good chunk of their conquered territory. They’ve been buoyed tremendously by a constant influx of Western military aid. I argue here, against a small but vocal conservative faction, that we should continue this aid. There has been plenty of unhelpful hyperbole on both sides of the debate. Prominent pro-Ukrainers have attempted to equate opposition to Ukrainian aid as opposition to democracy itself. Michael Beschloss, NBC’s resident Rent-A-Zinn, referencing members of Congress who didn’t applaud Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s recent speech, and in Stalinist fashion, tweeted “we need to know from them exactly why.”

How is American education going? In at least one blue midwestern state, not well. Nonprofit research organization Wirepoint has looked into Illinois public schools, and their performance deserves less than an “A+.” Among more than 30 institutions of learning, zero students can read at their respective grade levels. As for math, across 53 schools, no students are proficient. The bulk of those underperforming campuses — twenty-two in the case of reading and thirty-three in the case of math — sit within the City of Chicago School District — where taxpayers annually spend between $5,929 and $56,311 per student.

While approved by the Food and Drug Administration for veterinary use, xylazine, a non-opioid, is not safe for humans,

Throughout the past year, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has repeatedly committed to "liberating" Crimea from Russian control. The peninsula was illegally annexed by Moscow back in 2014. "Crimea is our land, our territory," Zelensky said in January. "It is our sea and our mountains. Give us your weapons—we will return what is ours." These governments believed it was important to report on successes and failures of pandemic decisions because it was the public that was on the receiving end of policies such as closed schools, vaccine mandates, and shuttered businesses. The United States is notably absent from this list, despite a long history of setting up bipartisan commissions after national crises in order to avoid repeating mistakes. Since 1989, when the current iteration of bipartisan commissions essentially came into being, Congress has funded 170 commissions to
