Ownership of U.S. farmland by Chinese nationals has risen significantly in the last decade and amounted to 338,000 acres as of 2020, according to U.S. Agriculture Department data.
Since 2010, Chinese nationals have reportedly purchased an additional 75,000 acres of U.S. farmland, according to U.S. Agriculture Department data obtained by the WSJ. Although amounting to less than 1% of all U.S. agricultural land held by foreign citizens, ownership of U.S. farmland by Chinese nationals has received increased scrutiny in recent years following warnings from U.S. government officials claiming that the Chinese government may seek to use land for military and espionage purposes, according to the WSJ.
Nationalize it! We are a banana republic anyway, and that's what banana republics do.

So China has purchased 338,000 acres of farmland. That makes them #1.
# 2 (at 225,000 acres) is China loving and over population- fearing Bill Gates. Our food supply is in trouble.

I wonder how much of the purchase price made its way to grifter politicians. Any concern shown from Joe Biden or Mitch McConnell? I thought not.

If we ever get in a war with China over Taiwan the U.S. government should seize all land owned by China to help pay for the war, but politicians often can't be counted on for stuff like that. We should have used Iraqi oil to pay for that war, but we had limp wristed Bush.

If Trump was president, I think he would have nationalized that land owned by China. Their acreage pales though in comparison to Bill Gates purchases of the last few years. IIRC, the number of acres is up around 500K.

Take it back without a dime return. Throw Chinese from our universities as well, Jobs over here, goodbye. Try to float a balloon over China. Put the vegetable's face on it...oops, it was taken down when it inched into China. Try our border free for all in China. First one over the Chinese border will be taken down immediately. No, no trial or anything else. Chinese do not respect people especially weak people like the one in the WH. The bidet thought he had made friends for life whilst taking their cash. They despise nothing more than a cheap traitor who sells his own country. A humiliated bidet is to the Chinese like a dog. Skin him and eat him!

RINO scum former US Senator Richard Burr supported the CCP purchase of Smithfield foods. He was warned by a good friend of mine about what China was up to, but typical of Burr he out his own finances above US national security and signed on. What a load of manure he turned out to be.

Our betters are pretty good at stealing Americans' land, but they won't dare steal from the big, bad, and mighty Chinese subversives, er nationals.

My father in law was a life long US farmer on the Great Plains, except during the Second World War when he was in the Air Corps. His father and grandfather were also US farmers. I will always remember back about 1970 he told me that someday the Chinese Communists would infiltrate and control US agriculture. He died a longtime ago and at the moment it looks like his forecast may well becoming true.

So, the ChiComs own 0.0001% of the farmland. And people hyperventilating that Gates owns 0.00008% of it.
And SO? Too small to mean anything.

Next, count the number of computer chip companies taking up farm land. I'm not finished blaming Gore for the loss of most of the corn grown for food that is now being grown for fuel.
Fuel was beneath our soil, fossil fuel was a gift from the Creator to this side of the planet. The Middle East, was given the blessing of oil easily reached. The grass is always greener, etc.

Which political idiot let this happen? I'm concerned that they will dump something on the land which will make it unusable for the next 10,000 years.

If this keeps up, China will control much of what we need and can turn off the spigot any time they like. Kind of like OPEC, eh Joe?

The states should use eminent domain to claim the land for an anti China statue.
