SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico — Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt told reporters Friday that he is baffled over how $12.7 million of his money has gone missing from a local private investment firm that authorities are investigating as part of a massive fraud that began more than a decade ago. Bolt also said he has fired his business manager, adding that it was not an amicable split. When asked if he was “broke,” the retired star athlete laughed. “I’m not broke, but it’s definitely put a damper on me,” he said. “It was for my future. Everybody knows I have three kids. Poster #2 - - Usain Bolt is the fastest human being ever created by God. He won both the 100 meter and 200 meter sprints in three straight Olympics (2008, 2012, and 2016). His name - - appropriately - - is Bolt. If he were a horse - - his name would be Secretariat - - because he shattered speed records in much the same way.

Yes, indeed. Usain Bolt is the world's fastest human, who ran 9.58 in the 100 meters and 19.19 in the 200 meters. It may be a long time until those records are broken.

Good grief. When I was young (a long, long time ago) a well respected older man said that he was puzzled how so many people had so little respect for what money they had. I guess some of it is greed for a quick buck but I had two good friends who invested all they had in Enron. It was during a downturn in the market and they got mad at their broker and went out on their own. I am no financial expert but my best advice is to always diversify. Cash, CDs, equities and bonds. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket is still good advice as those who went all in on crypto are finding out.

A resident of Puerto Rico is an American citizen but pays zero federal income taxes. An investment firm based in Jamaica isd a differrent mattet, however. When rookie players join the NFL, the league and the players union give them free financial/investment counseling. In spite of that, it is estimated that within 5 years after their playing days, 75% of NFL players are broke. And before you people slam Bolt, watch a few episodes of American Greed.

According to a story published on Saturday, the scope of Joe Biden’s classified documents scandal may be bigger than previously thought. Sources close to the investigation say in addition to classified documents, the FBI also seized notebooks from Biden’s Wilmington, Del., home, which were reportedly written by Biden while he was vice president. “The notebooks were seized because Biden’s notes on some of the pages relate to his official business as vice president, including details of his diplomatic engagements during the Obama administration, and may refer to classified information, this same person said,

Riots broke out in Memphis and are rapidly spreading through the usual urban areas. The purported rationale is the horrific beating to death in Memphis of Tyre Nichols captured on video and released by the police. As Glenn Reynolds (Instapundit) observes, Nichols’ beating was administered by “Black officers in a majority Black city with a Black police chief.” The officers involved have been criminally charged, but the media to which every Black killed by a cop is just proof that we are still in the Selma, Alabama world of decades ago -- another case of some innocent Black person victimized by racist oppressors. The odious Joy Reid at MSNBC highlighted

The year 2023 is shaping up to be the start of long period of destruction and renewal. The old global world is collapsing under the impact of the war in Ukraine, the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic, high energy prices, supply chain disruption, and a declining public confidence in authority. The coming year will see the demolition continue until perhaps the point is reached when it is simply easier to start over again. In the aftermath of WW2 the old colonial empires, which had lasted hundreds of years up to 1945, simply collapsed and were replaced by a bipolar world divided between the U.S. and USSR. But there was an upside;

The release of the videos from the lethal arrest of Tyre Nichols, 29, is shocking for its lack of professional tactics and procedures. This looks like adrenaline-filled rage … from the officers. At certain points, it is the suspect who sounds to be trying to de-escalate the situation. It is unfortunately not unique. In physical encounters, officers can escalate violence and lose control with lethal consequences. The footage helps establish a number of legal points. The force is clearly and undeniably excessive. It was a complete breakdown of training and supervision. It is hard to look at this tape objectively and analytically given the emotional impact of the scene. Yet

The US is in the midst of a catastrophic fentanyl epidemic that is causing an eye-watering number of deaths and tearing the fabric of American society apart. The ultra-strong opioid being cut with virtually every street drug in the country killed a record 75,000 Americans in 2021, the equivalent of 1,500 lives lost every week.  Fentanyl - which is 100 times more potent than morphine - started off as a cheap and potent alternative to heroin and was used by only the most hardcore drug addicts in the US, who mainly injected it or smoked it through a pipe. But its cheap manufacturing costs and potency have made it the go-to cutting agent

So naturally, the fastest-growing religion today — earth and climate worship — is developing its own faith-based dietary restrictions. “Climatarians” (also called “reducitarians” or “climavores”) are people who make their food choices based on how what they eat will impact the earth, with the aim of reducing their carbon “foodprint.” The Earthist version of original sin is that, simply by living, people commit climate sin every time they eat, breathe, travel, and heat or cool their homes. Naturally, the younger generations are the most pious Earthists,
