Speaker Kevin McCarthy went on a rant Thursday when asked about the differences between the Trump and Biden document dramas — and rightly so.
The idea that President Joe Biden’s case is entirely different from ex-President Donald Trump’s is the media’s first line of defense for the current prez. And yes, lots of details differ.
But, as McCarthy noted, many of them make Biden look worse. The speaker’s demolition of the apples-to-apples critique was a powerful performance, slicing all the issues expertly.

And he did indeed “eviscerate”. Like Matt Gaetz, I am heartened, encouraged, by what I saw today. More, Mr. Speaker. More!

FTA: At least one House Democrat has a novel defense of Biden. Georgia Rep. Hank Johnson reportedly says, “I’m suspicious of the timing of it. . . . Things can be planted on people, places and things . . . and then discovered conveniently.” (View hosts Sunny Hostin and Joy Behar also find the timing suspicious!)
Yeah. And Guam could capsize too!

At this point, neither the people nor Congress knows what the documents retained by Biden and Trump contained. Nuclear secrets, launch codes, revelations of means and methods, and names of foreign spies, all as breathlessly hoped by the media in the case of the Mar-a-Lago documents? Or plans to build a commissary or new hospital wing at Fort Bragg, as hoped in the case of Biden? Given Hunter Biden's lucrative arrangements with Chinese entities, the fact that documents were in a garage to which both Joe and Hunter had keys ominously suggests the possibility of a convenient dead drop for documents representing the quid pro quo for Chinese interest in making the Biden family enormously wealthy.

Now the Presidential Records Act of 1985 may finally be tested in Court.

I imagine a majority of government documents are marked secret to keep US in the dark about what our corruptocrats are doing to screw US.
What's up with this ex-President stuff?

One of the benefits of the fight for the Republican speakership is that McCarthy knows that if he does not act as promised, he can be thrown away. That being said, keep up good work Kevin. You made the media look like partisan hacks.

well, let's look at it this way: if our President had a Corvette in his personal quarters at Mar-A-Lago would he have had a defense and be exonerated for the possession of those documents? or, do we now we have a newly constructed legal defense term: the Corvette defense

#5, wasn't that dealt with in the 2012 case concerning Bill Clinton's audio tapes that Judicial Watch filed a case to get? District Judge Amy Berman Jackson ruled that control over presidential records rests squarely in the hands of a former president. Quoting the judge - “(Seizing the records) is an ‘extraordinary request’ that is ‘unfounded, contrary to the Presidential Records Act’s express terms, and contrary to the traditional principles of administrative law’.” At least, that was in 2012. I think that should come back and bite the fibbies and just-us clowns, taking a serious chunk out of them and their bank accounts.
