Let’s Find Out What The Democrats Have

The 15-round vote to finally elect a speaker of the House was, we were told by the political left, an embarrassment and evidence that the Republicans are untrustworthy. It was in reality our system in action and it produced at least two important outcomes, both of which will cause discomfort for the Democrats and their communications wing known as the mainstream media. Over the weekend, we learned that in order for Rep. Kevin McCarthy to earn their votes, the 20 holdout GOP lawmakers got a promise from the California moderate that two special investigative panels would be created. One would look into “the origins of the COVID-19 virus,”

As I said before, it is a shame Congress doesn't spend as much time debating 4,000+ page spending bills for $1,000,000,000,000+ as the Republicans did selecting McCarthy.

Election Security should be Priority #1. Zero provenance when US Postal workers handle ballots in any way. 100% of them are extreme left wing activists. They see the Trump sings in their clients' yards; they deliver mail from patriotic organizations to these people. They are not about to let their opposition ballots arrive, be filled out, and sent in. They ain't dumb. We are. Zero integrity. One Election Day, in person, ink on thumb, Paper ballots counted by both parties, Voter ID, no bussing incompetent group home residents-non-citizens deported if they vote-illegal aliens voting deported. Bounty system where if an illegal turns in five other illegals, he or she gets a Green Card.

I have a feeling that nothing will come from these investigating committees. The House and Senate committee chairmen will be on Maria Bartiroma's show every Sunday morning squalling and complaining about the how Democrat bureaucrats are stonewalling them and refusing to appear before the Oversight and Judiciary committees. Nothing against the new committee chairmen, but that's just how it works in DC. In 1992,t he last time a Republican committee had any power they exposed the House Banking Scandal and Representative Rostenkowski (D, Illinois) went to jail. I think he was Speaker at the time.

FTA - " They’ve used “crises” to extend their reach, and are practitioners of the Cloward-Piven strategy of tearing the country’s political, economic and social fabric so that they, as saviors, can orchestrate a full political takeover. It’s up to the House GOP to uncover the dark side of the Democrats, which is truly their only side." Exposing the dims and their evil acts would be the investigation for the ages. But who is going to investigate the pubbies then?

The news that the federal government is seriously considering a ban on the sale of gas stoves caught many normal Americans off guard. It shouldn’t have. Nor should they believe it when a regulator says they won’t actually ever ban the thing. In recent decades, regulators have wormed their way into every corner of our lives – banning some products, ruining others, and pricing others out of reach of working families – all allegedly for our benefit. The only thing that’s surprising is that they hadn’t targeted gas stoves earlier. This week, the Consumer Product Safety Commission Commissioner Richard Trumka Jr. said that gas appliances

In theory, the newly elected Republican House of Representatives should be working full speed ahead on the nation’s business. But because it’s taken so long to name a House speaker, it’s been delayed. Even so, Americans have a full agenda for Congress once it gets under way, the most recent TIPP Poll data show. We asked Americans specifically what they wanted the new Congress to focus on during its first 100 days, the traditional time for a new group of lawmakers to unveil what their priorities and focus will be. Biden’s New Border Strategy: Blame Republicans First 9 replies

At a briefing last week, a daring reporter asked President Joe Biden why he decided to visit the border now, after Republicans have been calling for him to do so for nearly two years – during which time an unprecedented 4.4 million people crossed the border illegally. Biden’s answer: “Because the Republicans haven’t been serious about this at all. Come on. They haven’t been serious about this at all.” That answer makes no sense. If Republicans haven’t been serious – which is a bald-faced lie – then wouldn’t that be more of an incentive for Biden to take the reins? But nothing Biden is saying lately about the border makes sense.

Kris Kristofferson said that “freedom” is “just another word for nothin’ left to lose.” To the political left, freedom is an abomination that must be defined and controlled by the ruling class elites. And what better way to do that than to crack down on automobile travel? Cars are a favorite target of all progressives and most Democrats. No human invention has increased freedom as much as the automobile. That’s why they have chosen to go to war on cars. It’s a long-term campaign that will take decades to finish. But there are victories along the way, and one of them was won in Washington with the help of Republicans.

As a new year begins, Americans are having second thoughts over China’s expanded global role after its recent saber-rattling, President Xi Jinping’s creeping authoritarianism and the country’s questionable COVID-19 policies. With global companies now preparing themselves for an uncertain year, the I&I/TIPP Poll asked Americans whether U.S. businesses should be pulling back from China. The answer: a resounding “yes.” Specifically, I&I/TIPP asked Americans whether they agreed or disagreed with the following statement: “American companies should do more to stand up to China, even if it hurts their businesses.”

In the same way our “superiors” think that their food comes from the grocery store rather than a farm or ranch, they must believe that those items magically appear on the shelves. Otherwise, why would the ruling class, made up of and zealously backed by elites, go to war against trucks? Just before Christmas, the Biden Environmental Protection Agency finalized a rule that it calls a “key step toward accelerating zero-emissions future,” and part of “the historic Clean Truck Plan, which is moving America’s highly polluting heavy-duty trucking fleet towards low-carbon and electric technologies.” Enforcement of course will mean fewer trucks on the road.

“One of the traditional methods of imposing statism or socialism in a people has been by way of medicine.” — Ronald Reagan President Ronald Reagan made those remarks back in 1961. Sixty years later, the response to COVID-19 was proof positive that he had it exactly right. Rather than focus on policies that would protect the most vulnerable from COVID, the left seized on public fear of the disease to impose draconian controls nationwide. Previously unthinkable lockdowns became the norm. Mandates that people wear masks and get experimental vaccines became routine. The size of the federal government

Just in the nick of time, Chief Justice John Roberts has placed a hold on a lower court decision to end the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Title 42 power at the U.S. border. That staves off an expected massive wave of illegal immigrants from crossing into the U.S., at least for now. But, while Roberts’ move is welcome, this doesn’t end the border crisis. Under the Title 42’s authority, the U.S. can expel illegals to prevent spread of COVID, which many health officials believe is set to spike again as winter arrives this week. Title 42 has been

Jill Biden had three lesions removed on Wednesday during outpatient surgery at Walter Reed National Military Hospital - with at least two of them determined to be cancerous.  The first lady had gone in for a procedure to remove a lesion from above her right eye, which White House Dr. Kevin O'Connor said was confirmed to be basal cell carcinoma.  Doctors also excised a lesion from her left eyelid and sent it in for microscopic examination to determine if it was cancerous. They also found a lesion on her chest, which appeared to be basal cell carcinoma, and doctors extracted. They later confirmed it was that type of skin cancer.

Several Senate Democrats may be considering retiring rather than facing a potentially bruising 2024 re-election campaign. While Democrats performed better than expected in the 2022 midterm elections, the 2024 election cycle — where Democrats will be defending seats in several battleground states — could have a far different outcome. In what could be the first of many similar announcements, Michigan Democratic Sen. Debbie Stabenow announced last week she will not seek re-election in 2024. Stabenow's decision to conclude her decades-long Senate career in 2025 provides Republicans with a pickup opportunity.

Much like the establishment GOP tends to do when confronted with its failings, Pete fell back on a strongly worded Twitter statement. He’s not alone in his thinking though: a survey by Veolia, an environmental utility firm, reveals that a quarter of respondents described “not being at peace” due to global warming and said they were “giving up long-term projects such as having children.”
