A former FBI investigator has suggested that Bryan Kohberger, who is accused of slaying four Idaho college students, joined online groups discussing the killings.
Jennifer Coffindaffer said she had been following the comments of a Facebook user with the handle Pappa Rodgers, who along with a Redditor with the handle InsideLooking, made chilling speculations about the murders that turned out to be true.
In an archive about the two online personas who frequented discussions about the brutal slayings, both users accurately pointed out the timeline of the killings and the fact that police found a knife sheath, all before the details were publicly revealed.

This is surveillance involving big tech. How would the FBI have known so quickly that Pappa Rodgers was in fact the suspect without Facebook involvement?

I wish the media would stand down before they poison this case

This guy reminds me of the characters in Hitchcock's "Rope".

Typical sensationalist headline from the DMUK without a real story to back it up. I was not chilled. Kohberger is a proven loonybin dweller, intelligent or not. FYI, the sheath on a KA-Bar has two slits in the leather at the top to slide your belt through. It's either on permanently or carried loosely, not clipped. There could possibly be different models. No surprise here, the Feebs are still married to Zuckerberg and will be until legal action is taken.
Coffindaffer? I'm guessing that's German for coffin maker? Snerdley?

The roommate came face to face with the killer, and stayed there with all those dead bodies for 6 hours before calling the police?!!!!
The killer drives back into town the next day in his white car to see what he can see?!!!
Neither makes any sense.

The state of mind of Bryan Kohberger is creepy this seems like a 'thrill killing' possibly to test his theory not very smart in the end. The media better just report but don't convict in the court of public opinion like the Rittenhouse case was reported.

It wouldn't surprise me that he would do this. I've read a lot about Leopold and Loeb. Loeb inserted himself into the investigation via his friends who were newspaper reporters. Maybe it's just their arrogance and/or narcissism, but some of these guys just can't help themselves.

The behavior described here seems to reflect an arrogant and risk-taking personality common among serial killers. Kind of like, "I am so much smarter and observant than you, that I can stand right in the middle of the crime scene and not be noticed (or at least not recognized). Catch me if you can."

And online translation is free, #3, for stuff like this (though probably not so safe for professional use).
"Maker" in English translates to "Herrsteller" in German.
"Coffindaffer" in German translates to "Coffindaffer" in English.
Sorry to disappoint...

The big question remains, why did he pick that particular party house, and why did he murder those particular girls and guy? Why did he not murder the one girl that he walked past in the hallway? I would say that for some reason he was in that house once or several times previously, maybe for some sort of one night stand, was then shunned, and decided that some of the party house residents were not about to get away with shunning him. It will be interesting!

Hmph. Article claims to quote a Reddit post, citing, "One knife according to corners [sic] statement", while it also includes a screengrab of the Reddit post, "One knife according to coroners statement"
DM is often sloppy with their due diligence obligations. But this seems almost to go out of its way to be inconsistent in an obvious way. Kind of like Kohberger seems to go out of his way to leave a trail of breadcrumbs leading police to himself. But what is their reason for doing that?

Kohberger thought himself to be a mastermind. Arrogant like Kaczynski. He enjoyed narrating details about the murders only he knew on social media. The FBI played him like a Stradivarius. The FBI did their real job this time fighting crime instead of playing the Gestapo. Kohberger turned out to be dumber than the average criminal. Well done FBI.

Remember, it's a "party house". The surviving roommate was either still quite drunk, and in a wee hours stupor when she saw the masked man. Hats and face coverings are not unusual for Idaho winters and seeing strange men in the house, and sleeping over may have been a usual occurrence for the "party house". She then slept in until late a.m. because they were all out late partying the night before. I want to know why these particular 4 young people? Because it was a "party house"?

#3 and 14 - I am beyond perplexed why the roommate did not call 911 (true, it was a party house meaning strange people at strange hours)? She said she was frozen with fear and provided a close description of the masked man - so she wasn’t very drunk or high as she was scared and observant. She locked her door and presumably went to sleep until noon. She couldn’t even text her roommates to see if they were OK? Sadly, it seems to be the self-absorbed nature of some young adults that since she was OK (behind a locked door), she just went to sleep.
