Gaetz could been seen pointing a finger at McCarthy. After McCarthy walked away, Representative Mike Rogers of Alabama began to approach Gaetz. He was held back by fellow lawmakers. Shockingly enough, the Biden White House’s Thursday announcement that Joe Biden was set to finally visit the southern border during his trip to Mexico for the so-called “Three Amigos Summit” has had the mainstream media pressing for details the administration has so far been reluctant to give. One tidbit we recently learned that shines an unflattering light on Joe Biden’s trip is that downtown El Paso has reportedly been “sanitized” ahead of his visit, with the migrant encampments that had previously cropped up being quietly moved out of sight. This has led to more speculation that Biden’s pit stop in El Paso will be an epic photo op flop, much like

Did you know it’s January 6th? No, I don’t mean the date itself. I’d suspect most people know how to use a calendar, but did you remember that today is a day of remembrance supposedly on par with 9/11? Yeah, me neither. As my colleague Susie Moore did, I completely forgot that today was that January 6th, and needless to say, Joe Biden’s attempt to remind everyone did not go well. I mean it really, really did not go well. For instance, the president apparently doesn’t know “January 6th” occurred on January 6th. Instead, Biden brought up “July 6th,” a day that will apparently live in infamy. [Video]

How do you make apartheid sound good? Easy. Just call it the “historic status quo”. Under Muslim rule, the historic status quo by the invaders was to ban Jews from their own holiest site, the Temple Mount. When Jerusalem was liberated, there was a vocal insistence by the Muslims who had launched a war to destroy the Jewish State and by the “international community” that Jews continue to be barred from their own holy site in the name of the “historic status quo”. And if that sounds too unbelievable, here’s Ned Price, Biden’s State Department spokesman saying that Jews must continue to be banned.

On Thursday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Special Report,” Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg defended his prior prediction that air travel would improve by stating that there has been “a ton of progress since this summer” and that’s demonstrated by the fact that after the major winter storm, “every airline recovered except for one, Southwest Airlines.” Host Bret Baier asked, [relevant exchange begins around 2:10] “I want to talk about what falls under you, holiday travel. In September, you were on the ‘Late Late Show’ with James Corden. And you said that you thought that this was going to get better, that it was going to get better, that it was

Liberal Whites wallowing in revisionist histories have made Whites the racist pariahs of the world, and Americans are ranked the worst. (snip) America is the only nation where people politick to make its long-dead slave past the center of its history. As a historical matter, it makes little sense when compared to the slave sins of other nations. America received 3-5% of the slaves sold in the Atlantic trade. Over 90% were sold in the Caribbean and South America. (snip) There are many nations where slavery played a much more salient role, but it’s not a central part of their history books or even a chapter.

After 11 votes in three days that went nowhere, signs emerged Thursday night that Kevin McCarthy may finally have a viable path to becoming the next House speaker. It won’t be easy, automatic or immediate, according to House lawmakers who themselves were processing the information in real time as details of the deal emerged. But a written framework for rules in the 118th Congress was released on Thursday that McCarthy's allies hope will allow many of the GOP lawmakers who have been voting against McCarthy all week to eventually support him.

Kris Kristofferson said that “freedom” is “just another word for nothin’ left to lose.” To the political left, freedom is an abomination that must be defined and controlled by the ruling class elites. And what better way to do that than to crack down on automobile travel? Cars are a favorite target of all progressives and most Democrats. No human invention has increased freedom as much as the automobile. That’s why they have chosen to go to war on cars. It’s a long-term campaign that will take decades to finish. But there are victories along the way, and one of them was won in Washington with the help of Republicans.

Ralph Norman (R-S.C.) said on Thursday that there’s an agreement in writing that he has been asked to review, according to Punchbowl News. Anti-McCarthy Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) and pro-McCarthy Rep. Patrick McHenry reportedly negotiated the truce, according to the news outlet.

U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland honored the five Capitol Police officers on Thursday who, he said, died after defending the legislature from the January 6 riot in 2021 — though none were killed during the violence. In a statement on the second anniversary of the Capitol riot, Garland appeared to link the riot to the deaths: “Two years ago, the United States Capitol was attacked as lawmakers met to affirm the results of a presidential election. Perpetrators attacked police officers, targeted and assaulted members of the media, and interfered with a fundamental element of our democracy:

President Joe Biden's immigration plan announced Thursday will allow up to 30,000 asylum seekers from Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua and Haiti into the country per month, while 'rapidly' expelling just as many back to Mexico if they illegally cross the border.  In a lunchtime speech from the Roosevelt Room, Biden outlined the new plan and confirmed that he would be making his first border trip as president, visiting El Paso, Texas on Sunday ahead of the 'three amigos' summit in Mexico on Monday and Tuesday.  The announcement, just days into 2023, comes after 2022 brought a record number of migrants illegally crossing the U.S. southern border
