A new Yahoo News/YouGov poll finds that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis now leads former President Donald Trump by 5 percentage points in the race for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination. Trump previously led DeSantis by double-digit margins among registered voters who describe themselves as Republicans or Republican-leaning independents. Meanwhile, DeSantis is ahead by even more — a whopping 11 points — among Americans who say they voted in a 2016 Republican primary or caucus in their state. The poll of 1,635 U.S. adults, which was conducted from Dec. 1 to 5,

Happy to vote for Trump if he is the nominee but I prefer DeSantis who will be just as lethal to the left as Trump but with less distracting drama. DeSantis doesn't have that consistent problem with loyalty in aides that we see so often in Trump. I want to elect a shark to destroy the left and I think DeSantis is that shark.

When I went to college I took several courses in statistics. One of the most useful books I read was “How To Lie With Statistics.” Any poll this far from 2024 is meaningless. And any national poll with “n” ( the number of people polled) of 1,635 is useless.

He's a great governor. He hasn't said or even hinted he's running. This is a left media fabricated narrative to divide the right. Nothing more. If he ever declares his candidacy these same shark that push him now will tear him apart as a Nazi, woman hater, transphobe who hates Mickey Mouse. Then see what they do to his poll numbers if he gets close to winning anything: "Oh and I heard he peed on a bed with hookers and he doesn't pay his taxes and he stole some documents and he's a racist! That DeSantis guy makes Trump look nice! I mean really who hates Mickey Mouse? Oh and his tweets? Have you read his tweets? So mean!!!" It's the standard playbook. They do it -every time-. Get over the "DeSantis is less controversial and problematic" thing. Look at history. *Every* time.

We got McCain and Romney because of polls and allowing the media to pick the Republican presidential candidate in the primaries. People blindly voted for the media darlings which ended up as McCain and Romney. The media will push their desired Republican winner early in the primary to give them a big unbeatable lead so Desantis will be pushed the same way. Just saying.

DeSantis in the lead now gives the mass media more time to destroy him along with Trump. That way we can get a hero like Romney, or Murkowbowwosky, to run as President. Won't that be Great!

With the full fury and power of the left focused on him, DeSantis won the "don't say gay flap" and turned a purple state solid red. Any republican will be demonized by the press, however watching DeSantis clearly and effectively respond to the snarky "press" is wonderful. Get over DJT, he cannot win another national election and continues to make un-forced errors. Here's a guy we did more for Israel than any other Prez since Truman, then somehow gets himself branded an antisemite. What states will DJT win? It takes more than Texas and Florida. BTW, anyone who calls DeSantis a "RINO" needs to look at the man's record. We need to win big to overcome the election fraud and Ron can do that.

Two months after the FBI subpoenaed the laptop Hunter Biden had abandoned at a Delaware computer repair store, the Drug Enforcement Administration searched the office of Hunter’s one-time psychiatrist Keith Ablow and seized a second laptop Hunter had left with him. The timing of the DEA raid and the fact that criminal charges were never filed against Ablow, coupled with whistleblowers’ claims that the FBI buried evidence against Hunter Biden, raises the question of whether the search was a pretext to recover Hunter’s laptop and protect the Biden family.  While the DEA’s recovery of the second Hunter Biden laptop escaped scrutiny over the last nearly three years

President Joe Biden is set to announce a roughly $36 billion bailout for union pension plans Thursday after his calls for Congress to force rail unions to accept a new contract strained his relationship with labor groups. The Central States Pension Fund (CSPF) primarily represents more than 350,000 workers in the Teamsters Union, and was set to become insolvent by 2026, according to CNBC. The bailout is funded through the March 2021 American Rescue Plan (ARP), Biden’s signature COVID-19 relief legislation, and is intended to keep the CSPF solvent through 2051 and prevent a 60% cut to members’ retirement benefits, Bloomberg reported.

Advocates of physician-assisted suicide and euthanasia often frame their position as driven by compassion and dignity. As the broad-strokes argument goes, people with terrible terminal illnesses -- living in pain, with no cure available -- should not be denied the choice to end their own life, at a time of their own choosing, on their own terms, with the help of a medical practitioner. From a human perspective, though suicide is rightfully an upsetting and disturbing cultural taboo, it is hard not to at least be somewhat sympathetic to these sorts of appeals. There is a moral and ethical case

During President John F. Kennedy’s inaugural address on January 20, 1961, the new Democrat president famously proclaimed: “Ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country,” as he challenged all Americans to contribute in some way to the common good of the country. Imagine the consequences if a Democrat running for any office in today’s America were to make that same proclamation. What would we hear — from Democrats themselves? Unhinged charges of racism, white supremacy, attacks on equality, and demands for “racial equity” — and worse — would abound. Hence today’s Democrat Party bears little resemblance to the

It’s a tricky business to glean predictive data from early voting in any election. This is particularly true of the Georgia Senate runoff between incumbent Democrat Raphael Warnock and Republican challenger Herschel Walker. Nonetheless, the 1.8 million ballots that were cast through last Friday, when early voting ended, provide some useful information. One datum in particular should encourage the Walker campaign — the number of older voters who cast early ballots swamped their younger counterparts.

The relentless attacks on Elon Musk since he purchased Twitter should be familiar to most Americans. It’s exactly what Democrats and their media and corporate allies did to demonize Donald Trump. The McCarthyite formula is simple: Claim you are defending high-minded principles (Democracy! The rule of law! Civil discourse!) to justify efforts to delegitimize someone you’ve identified as a political opponent. Democrats denied Trump’s presidency from day one; Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden themselves declared for years that he had stolen the 2016 election. In the name of election integrity, Democrats turned a bogus conspiracy theory cooked up by Clinton’s campaign about Russian collusion into years of official investigations that

Since early voting commenced in the Georgia runoff between Democrat Sen. Raphael Warnock and Republican Herschel Walker, the corporate media has made much of the former’s funding advantage as if this is somehow unusual for an incumbent seeking reelection. Far more newsworthy are the sources of Warnock’s cash. The Federal Election Commission (FEC) shows that Warnock has received individual contributions totaling $65.2 million, of which 88.8 percent came from out-of-state donors.

President Biden's rented Secret Service vehicles burst into flames in a parking lot Monday, just one day after he left his Nantucket vacation. Biden spent Thanksgiving on the ritzy Massachusetts island with his family last week. The Secret Service rented five vehicles from Hertz to carry the president and his family, and all five of them caught fire in the parking lot, according to footage first obtained by the Nantucket Current. Footage shows firefighters spraying down the smoldering remains of one vehicle's engine block. The five vehicles included a Chevy Suburban, Ford Explorer, Infiniti QX80, Ford Expedition, and a Jeep Gladiator.

Initial data from the November 2022 general election indicates more than 25,000 Georgians may have voted illegally in the general election. And the problem appears poised to repeat itself when voters cast their ballots in the state’s runoff election for senator on Dec. 6, 2022. Absent a win by a substantial margin by either Republican challenger Herschel Walker or Democrat incumbent Sen. Raphael Warnock, litigation, with the potential ordering of a new election, seems likely — a scenario that would have proved disastrous to the country had control of the Senate remained in play. In a complaint filed earlier this month with the Georgia State Board of Elections, Mark Davis,
