Nearly 150 Texas churches voted to leave the United Methodist Church during the Northwest Texas Annual Conference of United Methodist Churches (UMC) over disagreements concerning the church’s position on gay marriage, according to the Texas Tribune.
In a 261-24 vote over the weekend, 145 churches voted to exit the United Methodist Church and join the Global Methodist Church after years of disagreement between the churches and the UMC over the organization’s acceptance of gay marriage, according to the Texas Tribune.

A friend of mine told me that his church wanted to leave the group they were affiliated with, but that there was a stipulation that said that if they left the funds and the church became the property of the affiliation.

Lord, help us. We're screwing up the whole of Creation so royally that Divine Mercy is our only hope for healing.

There is a very simple reason gays and trans don’t understand why Christians don’t tolerate gay marriage, gay clergy, gay anything except maybe interior design: The Left has no God but themselves and their desires. When your worldview is godless, anything goes. But when you believe in the God of the Bible, who unambiguously prohibits gay sex, you damn well better adhere to those prohibitions.
The Left cannot understand us because we are principled. They are not. In their world, all is permitted because they answer to no one (they think.) They are in for a huge, unpleasant surprise when they shuffle off these mortal coils.

We are currently UMC by it looks like we are leaving. Sad but the leftist atheist bishops have ruined the UMC.

Same problem in the Lutheran Church .... many are leaving the very-liberal ELCA (which is thought to stand for "Every Liberal Cause Around."

The Lutheran Church LCMS (Missouri Synod) is still Bible believing (Sola Scriptura). Homosexuality is a sin. Also, no women pastors because of what scriptures teaches.
We are not in communion with the Lutheran Church ELCA because of their teaching on many issues including women in the clergy, homosexuality, etc.

It's the end times...believe it or not at your peril....time to get yourself right with God...
The End Times
12 “At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people—everyone whose name is found written in the book—will be delivered.

Many people of faith believe the Groom is soon coming for the bride. Make sure your oil lamps are full with extra in case He tarries! In other words, make sure your name is written in the Lamb’s book of life.

My sister's church belongs to a group that they are talking of splitting with. All they get from them are requests for money, and questionaire's about gay rights and restrooms for gays. All the members are over 70, sick, and on medication. I don't think these questionaire's are customized for their audience. So, they have about had it.

Come join the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. We still study scripture for truth and we preach Law and Gospel! Salvation is a free gift from God that we have contributed Zero in effort or merit!

Big typo here.
The Northwest Texas Annual Conference basically goes from Abilene to Midland then north to Okla. Panhandle. The North Texas Annual Conference goes from Dallas, north of Fort Worth & northwest to Denton & Wichita Falls and Northeast to a point west of Texarkana.

Falling away from the teachings of Holy Scripture to a worldly view that is vile.
Sinners can be saved, and that is the Lord's relationship with the sinner. The Church should not be teaching unholy views, and the Pope should only be an activist for the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
