What's Going on With Joe Biden's Hand?

Original Article

Joe Biden was at a reception for Florida Democratic gubernatorial candidate Charlie Crist in Golden Beach, Florida, on Tuesday. That followed a nightmare rally with Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL), which had all kinds of issues–as we reported here and here–in a festival of confusion, including saying his son died in Iraq, forgetting what FEMA stands for, confusing Iraq and Ukraine, and claiming he spoke with the “inventor of insulin.” While there, he also spoke about the attack on Paul Pelosi. Biden lied and claimed that no one in the Republican Party leadership had condemned the attack. That’s just not true; several have, including President Donald Trump (who called it “terrible”), Senate Minority Leader

The slightly larger wound between the first and second fingers looks like a scratch, perhaps from his dog. I get them all the time from mine and I am only a couple of years younger. Also it appears too elongated to be from a round needle. However, the smaller, round wound seems to be over a vein, just the kind an IV would cause. I've had them, too.

I’m not sure it’s a big deal. Before my mom died (she was 96), her hands and arms often looked like that. Her skin was like tissue paper. Frequently, the dog’s paws would cause large scrapes that looked similar. I think he’s just old.

Just Dr. Jill working on her medical license. Practicing inserting those pesky IV needles. I assume she is hoping to take Fauci's job when he leaves. She needs that MD to go with her title of doctor. She likes those perks. Doesn't care how she gets them.

Not all blood draws are from antecubital fossa. Sometimes there just isn’t a good vein there. As people get older, it’s often harder to find a good vein and the hand is a common place for IV. Also, since he has afib, he’s probably on anticoagulants, so he may bruise more easily. Looks like a puncture from an IV site. His meds seem to be less and less effective. No matter what it is, he does t have a clue what he’s talking about and lives in a fantasy world.

Almost every time I have had surgery, the IV was put into the back of my hand. But when having blood drawn, it is always done on the inside of my elbow. That slightly elongated puncture is directly over a vein and I know from experience that sometimes the person inserting an IV messes up. I also noted a week or two ago that, in a photo, the fingers on his right hand were covered with bumps and that his knuckles were about the size of cherry tomatoes. No idea what would cause that but it can’t be anything good.

Former President Barack Obama criticized Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake during a speech in Phoenix on Wednesday. ”This isn’t a reality show. If Kari Lake is your governor, we know what she’ll be focused on — because Donald Trump told us,” Obama said, while campaigning for the Democratic slate of statewide candidates. “What’s the worst that could happen?” The former president also criticized Lake’s background as a local news anchor. “Listen, if we hadn’t just elected somebody whose main qualification was being on TV, you could see maybe giving it a shot,” Obama said, taking a dig at both Lake and Trump. Obama decided to visit the Grand Canyon state in an effort

The most remarkable finding of the latest Wall Street Journal poll on the mid-term election is the yuuuge swing of suburban women toward the GOP since August: The new survey shows that white women living in suburban areas, who make up 20% of the electorate, now favor Republicans for Congress by 15 percentage points, moving 27 percentage points away from Democrats since the Journal’s August poll. That is one whopping move. As the Journal article explains, the shift isn’t just limited to congressional vote preference, but seems to be cascading down ticket.

The Democrats’ blame game has already started one week from the midterm elections, as the party’s leadership begins to point fingers while analysts are predicting the election could be terrible for the one-party hold over Washington, DC. As analysts predict the Republicans will end the Democrats’ one-party rule in the nation’s capitol by regaining the majority in the United States House of Representatives and potentially the Senate, the left is already starting to point fingers at who will take the fall, multiple establishment outlets reported.

Disney is preparing for Republicans to take control of the House, as polls suggest the party has an edge over Democrats in the days before the midterm elections. Disney CEO Bob Chapek has been having private phone calls this year with House Republican leaders including Minority Whip Steve Scalise, R-La., according to people briefed on the matter. Scalise is in line to become House majority leader if Republicans take control of the chamber, which would make him the No. 2 official in the majority party. These people briefed on the calls declined to be named in order to speak about private conversations. Asked about Chapek's engagement with Scalise and other House

We’ve already reviewed the increasingly damning evidence of the impact that lengthy school closures and “virtual learning” programs had on elementary and middle school students during the pandemic lockdowns. Math and reading skills tested at the fourth and eighth grade levels have plummeted and many children are having a very hard time bouncing back. But there is another group of students who haven’t drawn as much attention yet. Older high school students who were in their junior and senior years of high school during the closures are now heading off to college. (Or at least the ones who still managed to get accepted are.) Share Tweet ... More The time may be coming when the country will have to have a serious conversation about a very uncomfortable topic: President Biden’s mental health. It’s a conversation the left and the media forced on the public during the Trump administration. Claims that President Trump was not mentally fit for the job and needed to be removed from office began in earnest right after his inauguration in 2017. By January 2018, questions about Trump’s “mental fitness for the heavy duties of the presidency” nudged him to ask his doctor to administer a cognitive test. Members of Congress even requested the nonpartisan Congressional Research Service to provide an overview of the 25th Amendment’s history

President Biden urged Democrats on Wednesday to show up at the polls during next week's midterm elections or "allow the dark forces that thirst for power" to chip away at American democracy. Biden urged a crowd of supporters at a Democratic National Committee event inside Union Station in Washington, D.C. not to take the election for granted. The president argued that Democrats had to show up at the polls because Republicans could not be entrusted with political power. "We're facing a defining moment," said Biden. "We must with one overwhelming, unified voice speak, as a country and say there's no place for voter intimidation or political violence in America."

Nearly two weeks ago Nate Silver suggested that even though his model still showed Democrats had a slight advantage to retain the Senate he personally felt it was a dead heat. If a friend asked me to characterize the Senate race, I’d say “it’s pretty f**king close,” and emphasize that neither party has much of an advantage… …the main reason why I think of the race for control of the Senate as a toss-up — rather than slightly favoring Democrats — is because there’s been steady movement toward the GOP in our model over the past few weeks. In principle, past movement shouldn’t predict future movement in our forecast and it should

Washington — President Joe Biden keeps touting the size of next year’s increase in Social Security payments. But his boasts leave out critical context: Biden doesn’t explain that the reason the 2023 increase will be unusually large is that the inflation rate has been unusually large. Nor was that context included in a misleading post from the White House’s Twitter account on Tuesday – a post the White House deleted on Wednesday after it was widely criticized and Twitter affixed a fact-check to it. In addition, during a speech in Florida on Tuesday, Biden falsely claimed that the 2023 increase in Social Security payments will be the first increase

White suburban women have been coveted voters since the 1990s when the term “soccer mom” first came into vogue. But while Democrats were drinking champagne and celebrating this major “realignment,” soccer moms in Virginia loaded their kids into their SUVs and stopped off to vote in the 2021 gubernatorial election on the way to practice. They elected Glenn Youngkin, who promised not to indoctrinate their children with critical race theory, and forced teachers and the school board to pay attention to their concerns
