RENO — Flanked by two generations of pro-choice activists, Senator Catherine Cortez Masto made the pitch she hopes will help her notch a victory and help secure Democratic control of the Senate in a tough election year. “There is no doubt in my mind that Adam Laxalt will be a vote for a federal abortion ban,” she said of her Republican challenger last week at the University of Nevada Reno. “If we aren’t vigilant and if we aren’t fighting back and if we aren’t vocal about it and using all of our voices, it is going to happen.” When Roe

Comments:

Mediots lament the fact that other issues intrude on the Democrats pet talking points like abortion and Jan. 6. Somehow being able to put food on the table and fear of being beaten to death when taking the dog for a walk are messing up the Dems well-laid plans.

The dems focus for this election is abortion and gun control. Not a word about inflation, rising crime rate, illegals swarming into our country, energy dependence coupled with the ever increasing price of gas. People have bills to pay and they don't give a fig about abortion and debasing the 2nd amendment.

This is nothing more than fear porn. The SCOTUS has sent abortion back to the states which means that congress has no authority to either ban or codify abortion.

If the Republicans win, they should make abortion available only to liberals and with the caveat that they also must be sterilized afterwards. No more liberals breading more liberals. We should be all good after a generation or two. Problem solved.

Pregnancy is a self induced condition, mostly preventable by being responsible. Inflation and prices spiraling out of control are government caused problems and the people have Zero way to prevent or stop it. The people are helpless when their government screws up the economy. Elections are too far apart to allow us to stop out of control governments. This is why you need to be an I formedx voter

I just got my Nevada ballot in the mail, along with a postage paid return envelope. According to the instructions I can either fill it out and mail it back or vote in person. In-person voting will take place over 3 days, with the polls closing the evening of Election Day. But mail-in ballots will be accepted for an additional 4 DAYS beyond that. So there will be 4 days after the polls officially close where it will be relatively simple to look at the voter rolls, see who hasn't voted and then pay a friendly visit to them, just to make sure their voice is hard you understand.

Joe Biden took a rare stop to speak with reporters before departing the White House Thursday – but instead of just answering questions, the president berated journalists asking about his campaign stops and abortion restrictions. One reporter was called a 'kid' while the president told another to 'educate' themselves. Biden, who was leaving for events in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with Democratic Senate candidate John Fetterman, jogged over to the line of reporters gathered for his departure and yelled over the sounds of Marine One while delivering staccato answers to reporters. The ACIP voted to add the COVID-19 injections to the childhood schedule, which determines what vaccines a state mandates for children to attend school. Main stream media is pretending that states determine what vaccines are used, but the truth is that pediatricians use the CDC schedule and state public health officials use this schedule. State public health systems use the schedule to determine which vaccines to require for children to enter schools. Yes, some states have more stringent requirements than others. Some states allow for “opt-outs,” but in the end, most states follow the CDC guidelines. The ACIP functionally establishes “standard of care” in this area.

Conservatives have long defined their politics in terms of what they wish to conserve or preserve--individual rights, family values, religious freedom, and so on.(Snip)To talk of defending “religious freedom” is to misapprehend that the real risk today is widespread irreligion, which will leave so few religious Americans in the coming generations that the government and large corporations will inevitably--and easily--persecute them.
