Top House Democrats Maxine Waters and James Clyburn have continued to shell out tens of thousands of dollars in campaign funds to their family members ahead of the November midterm elections. The re-election campaign for Waters, the U.S. House Financial Services Committee chairwoman, paid a total of $16,000 to the congresswoman's daughter in four separate payments in July and September of this year. Karen Waters, who has been organizing slate-mailing operations to bolster her mother's re-election since 2003, and her company, Progressive Connections, have received more than $1.2 million from Waters’ campaign over the past nearly two decades.

Most pols are in it for the money. Term limits would curtail most of this greed. Politicians have become a class to themselves. After a year or two in DC, they look down upon the people as just flyover area denizens. The dems are most egregious.

How about this law? No member of Congress can hire any family member or any firm that is owned/operated by a family member for any campaign expenses exceeding $25,000 a year.

Several former border officials vowed to release the number of illegal migrant crossings into the U.S. by Tuesday if the Biden administration hasn't by then. Former Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Deputy Secretary Ken Cuccinelli, acting Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Commissioner Mark Morgan and acting director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Tom Homan accused the Biden administration of hiding the number of illegal southwestern border crossings in September. The Trump-era officials pointed out that DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and CBP Commissioner Chris Magnus are required to release the numbers weekly and that if the numbers are not published by Tuesday, the former officials will do it themselves.

In the dog days of summer, as President Joe Biden’s average approval rating plummeted to historic lows amid an intense flurry of national setbacks, policy blunders and rhetorical “gaffes” (otherwise known as palpable senility), most in the punditry class began to predict an imminent “red wave” of Republican electoral dominance in November’s midterm elections. The midterms that take place two years after a new presidency typically favor the opposition party, after all, and certain data — such as the four-decade-high inflation rate that was, and still is, raging like wildfire — pointed in the direction of a strong ballot-box backlash to one-party Democratic rule.

Republicans on the House Ways and Means Committee asked the IRS this week to keep all documents related to its 2021 decision to destroy millions of taxpayer filings, and indicated a deeper congressional inquiry is coming if Republicans take control of the House. During the first few months of the Biden administration, the IRS destroyed 30 million paper-filed "information returns," which must be filed by small business and others to inform the IRS of various transactions. The IRS claimed that "software limitations" prevented it from processing those returns, and a decision was made to destroy them. The IRS insisted that no taxpayers would be penalized

There is an obvious truth that I increasingly feel the need to say out loud: We are all American citizens. We are all entitled to the same rights and protections, no matter where we live or what the color of our skin is. The reason I feel the need to say it is that on the South Side of Chicago where I live and minister, it's not obvious. And this is despite the fact that we are literally drowning in race these days. In the two years since George Floyd was murdered, we have had the Black Lives Matter movement, the Defund the Police movement, the Diversity,

The Oregon gubernatorial candidates clashed in a debate Wednesday on the topic of state funding for police and law enforcement. The candidates for the Oregon governorship are Democrat Tina Kotek, Republican Christine Drazan and independent Betsy Johnson. Following a question about the need for funding law enforcement to combat crime, Kotek was the first to respond. "When people call 911, they need to feel safe and have the right response at the right time. I've always supported our state police," Kotek said. The Democrat continued, asserting that she has always been a supporter of the police and law enforcement. "And we do need more officers.

United Kingdom Prime Minister Liz Truss resigned Thursday after less than two months in office amid pressure following a reversal of economic policies that led to economic instability. Truss made the announcement a day after she defiantly declared that she is "a fighter and not a quitter." Ultimately, however, she said that circumstances have changed. "Given the situation, I cannot deliver the mandate on which I was elected by the Conservative Party," Truss said. “I have therefore spoken to His Majesty the King to notify him that I am resigning as leader of the Conservative Party."

The Republicans are edging closer to a wave election. They are finally connecting with voters on the issues they care most about – inflation, crime and immigration – while Democrats are essentially fighting a shadow midterm on issues voters care less about. Americans aren’t necessarily acting out of partisanship; they’re venting their frustration with the poor economic fundamentals and the threatened recession. In the summer there was lot of speculation that the incumbent party could defy midterms history and escape a big loss, and I was puzzled by the large segment of Democratic voters who disapproved of President Joe Biden and yet

"Does President Biden want more migrants to come to Delaware?" a reporter asked Jean-Pierre at the White House. "I don't even understand that question. I will move on," the press secretary replied. The exchange came after Jean-Pierre criticized governors in border states for bussing thousands of migrants to New York City, Chicago and Washington, D.C.

President Biden appeared taken aback Wednesday at multiple reporters suggesting that his tapping into the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) was politically motivated with the midterms three weeks away. Biden announced the release of 15 million more barrels of oil from the emergency reserve, saying it would lower gas prices and bolster domestic oil production. As he concluded his remarks at the White House, a reporter shouted out at him, leading him to sarcastically ask her to "speak louder." "What is your response to Republicans who say you are only doing this SPR release to help Democrats in the midterms?" the reporter asked. "Where have they been the last four months?

Journalists and other left-wing activists are freaking out over a New York Times poll that shows Republicans leading Democrats by 4 percentage points among likely voters ahead of next month's midterm elections. They were particularly aggrieved by the poll's finding that Republicans were tied with Democrats at 47 percent among female voters and were supported by 34 percent of Hispanic voters and 18 percent of black voters. Those are terrible numbers for Democrats. We don't know how the election is going to play out, but at least one thing is guaranteed: If Democrats lose, they are going to blame everyone but themselves for the outcome.

A U.S. District judge also fined Bannon $6,500. But he ruled that Bannon will not have to serve the sentence until an expected appeal plays out. Both the jail term and fine came in below the sentence recommended by federal prosecutors. The proceeding makes Bannon one of the highest-profile figures to be sentenced to jail on charges related to the insurrection.

While we should never count our chickens until they are fully out of their shells, there is almost unanimous agreement among the major polling groups that the GOP should be able to retake the majority in the House next month. (Insert the standard caveat about how bad the polling has been of late here.) If that happens, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy still appears to be the odds-on favorite to be the next Speaker, though that assumption also comes with a few caveats. Some of the GOP members in the lower chamber have clearly been feeling their oats and have been starting to suggest that Joe Biden might be impeached

The committee demands that the former president submit documentary material by Nov. 4, which would be followed by "one or more days" of his deposition under oath "on or about" Nov. 14, according to the panel's letter.

Tucker Carlson provided an accurate assessment of the overt anti-white racism in America that goes not only unchecked, but often praised. His comparison to Rwanda’s eventual genocide doesn’t feel that far off when one considers the daily reminders by many prominent media personalities and politicians of the “whiteness” that pervades this country. So it comes as no surprise that sheltered, entitled, and ignorant professional athletes would share these same anti-white views. For supposedly being oppressed, there is no shortage of self-esteem among leftist blacks. If they truly feared for their lives, it goes without saying that they’d hesitate to make such remarks.

Oil prices and President Joe Biden’s continued draining of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) have dominated the headlines over the past few weeks, but analysts say a more impactful and serious crisis on the energy front looms: a diesel fuel shortage. Diesel doesn’t get as much of the limelight as oil and gas, but it should because diesel fuel is the industrial lifeblood of the United States, and the price of diesel alone probably has a more significant impact on inflation and the prices you’re paying at the grocery store over any other factor. Without ample amounts of diesel, semi-trucks don’t move, farms are shut down, and critical manufacturing
