Today’s obsession from various groups on the left with bringing sex up around children has gotten so bad that they’re now openly admitting it’s a goal around any given project. With the writers of the Disney/Marvel “She-Hulk” series, they admit to wanting to make a show that kids could tune in to watch while the characters talk about sex lives and hooking up. Effectively, the writers attempted to create a show that mixes superheroes with “Sex in the City.”
According to Bounding Into Comics, the writers admitted to wondering just how far they could go with talk about sex, with one of the actresses encouraging it to go farther and farther:

Larry Fink is having a bad year. Some estimates place investments withdrawn from BlackRock, the firm where he is CEO, at nearly $3 billion just from states pulling treasury funds due to Fink’s public political agenda. In the second quarter of 2022, BlackRock exceeded average market losses, with assets under management falling 22% to $8.5 trillion. Third-quarter assets under management fell another 15%, with adjusted earnings down 12.8% and revenue falling 15%. Following the third quarter release, UBS analyst Brennan Hawken downgraded the company’s stock from Buy to Neutral and dropped the target price to $585 from $700. In Hawken’s note on the change, he cited growing pushback

The COVID narrative is breaking down. While the CDC and most state governments are unsuccessfully pushing us all to get yet another COVID booster shot, the CEO of Moderna says the quiet part out loud: relatively few people would benefit from getting the booster because, like the flu, COVID is only dangerous to people who are aged or have significant co-morbidities.
Not everyone needs to get an annual Covid booster, according to the head of pharma giant Moderna who also likened the virus to seasonal flu.
Stéphane Bancel said his company’s shots should mainly be targeted at over-50s and people with underlying health conditions.

Igor Danchenko, a primary contributor to the Trump-Russia dossier, has been acquitted of lying to the FBI regarding his sources for some claims in the document in a loss for special counsel John Durham.
The jury declared the source, an analyst who compiled the bulk of the dossier drafted by former British intelligence agent Christopher Steele and which alleged collusion between former president Trump’s 2016 campaign and Moscow, not guilty on all four charges. Danchenko was accused of having made false statements regarding the sources of some information that he provided to a U.K. investigative firm in 2017 that was later passed to the FBI. Durham

President Biden is expected to pledge during a Tuesday night speech that his top legislative priority after the midterms will be codifying a national right to abortion, should the Democratic Party retain control of the House and expand its Senate footprint.
During his remarks at the Howard Theater in Washington, D.C. Tuesday night, Biden is expected to pledge that the first bill he will send to legislators in a new Democratic Congress will codify Roe v. Wade, the New York Times first reported. The move is intended to galvanize his support among Democratic and independent women as his polling numbers slump ahead of November’s midterm elections.

President Biden pressured Democratic El Paso mayor Oscar Leeser to avoid declaring a state of emergency over the influx of illegal immigrants arriving daily, despite several members of the local city council urging otherwise, the New York Post reports.
One councilwoman, Claudia Rodriguez, told the Post that Leeser “told me the White House asked him not to” declare a state of emergency for fear it would make Biden look bad. These sentiments were echoed by fellow Representative Veronica Escobar (D., Texas). during a September 27 council meeting.
“The White House has asked, at this point, for us not to do that and they’ll continue to work with us and continue

In an interview with former New York Times columnist Ben Smith, ex-editorial page editor James Bennet finally spoke out about the controversy that led to his leaving the Times, saying he was treated like an “incompetent fascist” by his colleagues for having published an op-ed by Senator Tom Cotton (R., Ark.)
Bennet left the Times on June 7, 2020, just a few days after the publication of the Cotton op-ed, which recommended that the National Guard be deployed to quell the riots that were plaguing American cities at the time. Social-justice minded Times employees led a public revolt over the publication of the op-ed, publicly accusing the paper’s leadership

Dictator Xi Jinping opened the 20th Chinese Communist Party National Congress on Sunday with a “report” to the Central Committee, which he nominally serves, that claimed China has ascended to global leadership in economics, diplomacy, clean government, and military power.
Xi’s address was triumphant as expected, with little concern for how it might sound to a world still coping with fallout from the coronavirus pandemic China unleashed. The pandemic was old news for Xi, who had no interest in conceding the smallest error in how China handled the crisis.Instead, Xi’s theme was China’s overwhelming success at creating a “modern socialist country”

I’ll bet they are. The problem for Democrats, however, won’t just revolve around their deeply unpopular Demagogue in Chief and the albatross he’s hung around their necks. After the smoke from the midterm referendum on Joe Biden clears, the party will have the same problem they had in 2020, 2016, and every midterm in the past dozen years except 2018.
Keep that in mind when reading The Hill’s report on “contingency plans” already being considered even before the election results come in:
Democrats behind the scenes are already talking about and making contingency plans for 2024 in case President Biden decides not to seek a second term, moves expected to intensify

A week ago, Ohio Senate nominees J.D. Vance (R) and Rep. Tim Ryan (D) sparred in a wild first debate that saw Vance land verbal jab after verbal jab on Ryan, proving once and for all that when it comes to one on ones with his opponents Vance can rise to the occasion. The second debate, held Monday night in Youngstown, was no different except this time around Vance eviscerated Ryan in a blistering pushback on a core issue during an exchange that will inevitably make it to the highlight reel on local news broadcasts.
At one point one of the moderators predictably asked Ryan his thoughts about the “Great Replacement Theory,”

Researchers at Boston University say they have developed a new COVID strain that has an 80% kill rate following a series of similar experiments first thought to have started the global pandemic that began in China.
The variant, a combination of Omicron and the original virus in Wuhan, killed 80% of the mice infected with it, the university said. When mice were only exposed to Omicron, they experienced mild symptoms.
The research was conducted by a team of scientists from Florida and Boston at the school's National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories. They extracted the spike protein from Omicron and attached it with the strain first detected at the onset

Years of terrible energy policy are coming home to roost, as New England is threatened with blackouts this winter:
New England power producers are preparing for potential strain on the grid this winter as a surge in natural-gas demand abroad threatens to reduce supplies they need to generate electricity.
***
The region’s power-grid operator, ISO New England Inc., has warned that an extremely cold winter could strain the reliability of the grid and potentially result in the need for rolling blackouts to keep electricity supply and demand in balance.
