Glenn Youngkin Taps Ed Secretary Deeply
Linked To The Critical Race Theory Education Swamp

Original Article

Virginia Republican Gov.-elect Glenn Youngkin was elected to stop critical race theory in public schools, and he has promised to do so in office. Yet the woman he’s appointed for state education secretary, Aimee Rogstad Guidera, has numerous professional and financial ties to organizations that underwrite the spread of critical race theory, a racist philosophy that pits Americans of different bodily hues against each other and smears those born into paler skin.

Comments:

Mr. Youngkin is not inspiring much confidence....

I have repeatedly commented here that he is another one of these 'out of nowhere' folks who says he's "conservative". It worked with Trump, but not with Romney or Jeff Flake clone, they both claimed to be conservatives, too. You may be screwed again, Virginia. Always risky without an ACTUAL record of performance in a lower elected office.

I swear, these politicians "have their heads where the sun don't shine!" as my old East Tennessean friend used to say about the stupid dolts he had to deal with daily. These people are tone deaf, like the Manhattan DA. Youngkin is off to a bad start if he lets this nomination get through. I hope the Republican legislature in VA reject this woman, if that's how things work in VA. But again, it's not my problem Virginians.

I’ve been many things in my life. Being a Republican was and will NEVER be one of them. I’m not a troll. I’ve been on this web site for years. From the beginning in fact. I’m 110% MAGA but as proud as I am that I walked away from the Democratic Party, I’m even more proud that I never fell for all the flag waving conservative talking Republicans spewing their nonsense on FOX News. You need a list? McConnell McCain Graham Makorsky Collins Cheney Romney Chief Justice Roberts *( Kavanaugh, Barrett ?) KUNTziger Crenshaw Gowdy Chaefetz Cruz — sorry I have to go to work. Visions of Trump's first two years in office. His advisors advised him to pick the wrong people and the first two years it was like a revolving door with people leaving left and right. Youngkin like Trump is a non-politician and is relying on people in politics to help pick his people. Trump learned and so might Youngkin that people in politics only know other people in politics.

If there is one thing that 2020 has taught me, it is that the real political and cultural divide in our country is not between Republicans and Democrats, or even conservatives and liberals, but between traditionalists and progressives. At the core of progressivism is not the optimistic American belief that things are improving and that our children can live better lives than we did, but the belief that man is a perfectible product of evolutionary forces. Rather than being made in God’s image and then fallen, progressives believe we must throw off the shackles and prejudices of the past in order to move forward to build utopia.

The Supreme Court on Monday turned down a request to salvage a Kansas law that required residents to provide proof of citizenship when registering to vote, despite pleas from Kansas lawyers and almost 20 red states. Kansas's red-state allies used the case to mount a broader attack on a legal test that in their view gives judges too much power in election-security disputes. Former Kansas secretary of state Kris Kobach (R.) championed the law and personally defended it in court against an ACLU lawsuit.  The Secure and Fair Elections (SAFE) Act required Kansans to produce documentary proof of citizenship when registering to vote. Hospitalizations of U.S. children under 5 with COVID-19 soared in recent weeks to their highest level since the pandemic began, according to government data released Friday on the only age group not yet eligible for the vaccine. The worrisome trend in children too young to be vaccinated underscores the need for older kids and adults to get their shots to help protect those around them, said Dr. Rochelle Walensky, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Since mid-December, with the highly contagious omicron variant spreading furiously around the country, the hospitalization rate in these youngest kids has surged to more than 4 in 100,000 children, up from 2.5 per 100,000.

The liberal wing of the Supreme Court embarrassed itself Friday with a slew of false claims about COVID-19 during oral arguments over Joe Biden’s vaccine mandates. For example, Justice Stephen Breyer claimed hospitals are at capacity because of unvaccinated Americans with COVID. This is false. But perhaps the most ridiculous false claim from a Supreme Court justice came from Justice Sonia Sotomayor, who falsely claimed that 100,000 children are in “serious condition” from COVID. “We have hospitals that are almost at full capacity with people severely ill on ventilators. We have over 100,000 children, which we’ve never had before, in serious condition, and many on ventilators,” Sotomayor claimed.
