President Joe Biden called out Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) for proposing a bill titled “Protecting Pain-Capable Unborn Children from Late-Term Abortions Act,” which would prohibit abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy, except in cases of rape, incest, or to save the life of the mother.
During a speech, Biden claimed that the Catholic Church wouldn’t agree with not aborting unborn babies past 15 weeks of pregnancy, despite the Bible’s assertion that from the womb to tomb, life should be protected.

He is correct. They would not agree to a fifteen week ban. They would agree with a total ban.

Biden is a fool and a liar. Im not Catholic but I don’t understand why he isn’t denied communion.
Lindsey Graham, the subject of Biden’s ire, is not a fool but his abortion bill is an act of willful sabotage. He doesn’t want the Senate to flip to Republican control because he knows he would be expected to do something productive instead of hogging the camera and appearing on Fox News.

Hey Lindsay! Abortion policies are for the states to decide.
You know, the 10th Amendment.
Why are you wasting your time?

of course Biden is wrong. Some in the Church would refuse to comment on specific legislation; others would support this. Biden says anything. As to which, listen to that deep, convincing, unstressed intonation, so persuasive, and calibrate - that is how he sounds when he is absolutely nothing but making it up on the spot.

FTA: “From the first moment of his existence, a human being must be recognized as having the rights of a person--among which is the inviolable right of every innocent being to life,” the official catechism of the Roman Catholic Church says.
Reality Check: Life begins at the moment of conception. (Psalm 127:3, Psalm 139:13, Isaiah 49:5, Jeremiah 1:5, Job 31:15) God knows us before we are born; some individuals were named by God before they were born. (Ishmael Genesis 16:11 - Isaac Genesis 17:19 - Solomon 1 Chronicles 22:9 - Josiah 1 Kings 13:2 - Cyrus Isaiah 44:28 - John (Baptist) Luke 1:13 - JESUS Matthew 1:21)
The Annunciation and Visitation to the young virgin Mary make clear that life begins in the womb and that “life” is sacred—most certainly sacred for our Lord Jesus, and for all humanity. It is in the womb that body and soul are joined together.
It has been written, “The birth canal does not magically transform human-shaped entities into real human beings. ... the witness of the Annunciation and the Visitation provides compelling reasons for respecting and protecting unborn human life.”
Celebration of the Annunciation on March 25th was a date chosen by early Christians because it comes nine months before the birth date of our Lord. The reality that “the Son of God entered the world as we do—through the womb—should cause awe in all and fear in those who would presume to invade this sanctuary with instruments of destruction.”

Poster #2, I heard a Lutheran pastor make that very point. The abortionists even hijack, and pervert, the language of the sacrament - "this is my body"

I'm not Catholic, but read their catechism and their teachings are plain as day;
''Since the first century the Church has affirmed the moral evil of every procured abortion. This teaching has not changed and remains unchangeable. Direct abortion, that is to say, abortion willed either as an end or a means, is gravely contrary to the moral law:
You shall not kill the embryo by abortion and shall not cause the newborn to perish.
God, the Lord of life, has entrusted to men the noble mission of safeguarding life, and men must carry it out in a manner worthy of themselves. Life must be protected with the utmost care from the moment of conception: abortion and infanticide are abominable crimes.''

#4 I am a Catholic, and I can tell you why the Church does not deny Biden communion. The Church simply has no political testicles. My wife and I sat the Sunday Service before the 2020 election. Our pastor read a letter from the bishops. Essentially, the bishops said a political party should not be discounted "on one issue", when, in fact, many of their other beliefs or tenants are good. Basically, "give them a pass on abortion". A number of those attending Mass seemed stunned. Others sat and looked clueless. What that pastor was forced to read went way beyond "silence is consent" (for abortion). It was an endorsement. It was a horrible moment. It's way past time for the Church to step up and tell him politely to "go to hell".

While Biden is all for unlimited government provided abortion for all comers. While the Catholic Church is against just about all abortion, but what does that Catholic Church position have to do with laws that may or may not be passed by the US Congress? Also as an example, on the illegal immigration issue, both the Pope and Biden are all for “open borders” to allow just about all illegal aliens who wish to get into the USA are able to do so, no matter the numbers, or the requirements of US immigration law!
