In a recent interview with the Neapolitan newspaper Il Mattino, Pope Francis offered an expansive prescription for the human race. “Planetary injustice,” centered around climate change and Third World debt, must be the focus of the Church, he explained, adding that politics is the “highest form of charity.” Saying that “everything is connected,” the Pope sounded like he was channeling the latest New Age woo-woo philosophy—which in a sense, he is.
The Catholic church was once the greatest conservative institution in the West, and not in any narrow sense of the term. In her self-understanding she was the guardian of the apostolic inheritance, the natural moral law, and an understanding

Sen. John Kennedy, R-La., ripped President Biden over the border crisis, warning he has "lied" to the American people as migrant encounters surge to record levels. Kennedy joined "The Faulkner Focus" on Tuesday to discuss the latest on the migrant surge, saying Biden has "opened" the borders and "lied" about the issue.
"President Biden talks a lot about democracy, as we should," Sen. Kennedy told host Harris Faulkner. "Democracy depends on the mutual acceptance of rules, norms and institutions. President Biden's southern border policy has undermined that principle. He has completely opened the southern border, and he has looked the American people in the eye, and he has lied

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ move to send two planes carrying migrants to Martha’s Vineyard on Wednesday night is not the first to bring the nation’s immigration battles to the elite summer destination. That island off the coast of Massachusetts is more accustomed than many places in the United States to welcoming an influx of South Americans. Not Venezuelans, but Brazilians. And not asylum-seekers lacking connections dropped from the sky, but labor migrants who follow friends and family across multiple countries.
Indeed, for decades Martha’s Vineyard has been a microcosm of much of our national hypocrisy with regard to immigration laws – violations that cross party lines.

British royals expert Hilary Fordwich stunned CNN anchor Don Lemon into silence with her argument that African slave owners owe "reparations" rather than the British Empire, in a viral clip from CNN’s coverage of the death of the queen. Conservatives on Twitter found the clip hilarious, as it depicted Lemon getting swift pushback for trying to promote the narrative that the British crown owes reparations for slavery.
Observers noted Lemon meekly switching topics without protest after Fordwich’s unexpected response

A federal appeals court upheld a Texas law on Friday that seeks to curb censorship by social media platforms. The ruling, a major victory for Republicans who charge companies like Twitter and Facebook are limiting free speech, is a step in a major legal battle that could end up at the Supreme Court. The lawsuit is challenging HB 20, a Texas bill signed into law by Gov. Greg Abbott that regulates social media platforms with more than 50 million monthly users, which includes Google, Facebook and Twitter, and says they cannot censor or limit users’ speech based on viewpoint expression.

The November midterm elections fast approach. Democrats are touting their massive stimulus, the mendaciously named Inflation Reduction Act, and the constitutionally illegal student loan giveaway.
But the economic facts demand they suffer defeat come November.
President Joe Biden last week talked about record-low unemployment. He explained that the headline inflation number rose only 0.1% month on month. Biden conveniently ignored comments by Democratic-leaning Harvard University professor Jason Furman that the August consumer price index report actually suggested an acceleration in inflation.

California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom is accusing Republican Govs. Ron DeSantis and Greg Abbott of possible kidnapping and has called their transporting of illegal immigrants to progressive states "morally reprehensible," despite launching a program as San Francisco mayor that bussed thousands of homeless people out of San Francisco and the state. Fox News Digital first reported on Wednesday that DeSantis sent two planes full of illegal immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard after promising he would relocate them to a "sanctuary destination." Abbott similarly began sending thousands of illegals to Washington, D.C., in April and has since sent busloads to New York City and Chicago

Democrats were riding high this summer. The Supreme Court’s decision overturning Roe v. Wade energized the party’s base, and the economic woes that had been plaguing the Biden administration began to subside as gas prices dropped. The party had finally scored several legislative wins with the Inflation Reduction Act and the CHIPS and Science Act. Former President Donald Trump was under investigation by the Department of Justice for potentially violating the Espionage Act, and the generic congressional polls began to tilt in their favor. Suddenly, predictions of certain midterm disaster for the party gave way to cautious optimism.
Unfortunately for the Democrats, however, the pendulum never swings in one direction forever.

Playground of the powerful, Martha’s Vineyard lacked the resources to care for the 50 migrants who landed there unexpectedly on Wednesday, local residents told Fox News Digital this weekend. But real estate data and Massachusetts state resources show otherwise. Island towns are flush with cash and plenty of extra beds to help needy people.
Edgartown, for example, boasts $9.8 million in free cash — budget surplus — according to the Massachusetts Department of Revenue.
It would have cost only $9.1 million to give all 50 migrants their own room for an entire year at Edgartown’s swanky $500-per-night Harbor View Hotel.

As the midterms quickly approach, both sides of the aisle are ramping up their grandstanding.
And while the results of the November elections are still anyone’s guess, the results of another race are becoming clear: the left is losing the battle of theatrics.
To make matters worse, the right is just starting to get the hang of it. Recently, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis decided to send two planes full of illegal aliens to the beautiful, beautiful-people-filled island of Martha’s Vineyard.
Not to be outdone, Texas Governor Greg Abbott sent two buses of illegal aliens to Vice President Kamala Harris’s residence in Washington, DC.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom has asked the Department of Justice to look into whether sending migrants to other parts of the country constituted kidnapping or other federal crimes. In a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland, Newsom asked whether actions by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis sending illegal immigrants from their respective states to destinations such as New York City, Washington, D.C. Chicago, and Martha's Vineyard were illegal. "Several of the individuals who were transported to Martha’s Vineyard have alleged that a recruiter induced them to accept the offer of travel based on false representations

Despite all the talk in Washington about Arizona's U.S. Senate race, I predict Republican challenger Blake Masters will defeat incumbent Democrat Sen. Mark Kelly by a surprising margin. No one in the left-wing establishment or the propaganda media wants to look at the facts on the ground in Arizona.
First, Arizona is a much more Republican state than Washington's so-called "experts" think it is. The most recent Emerson poll has President Donald Trump three points ahead of President Joe Biden in Arizona. The same poll has the governor's race tied at 46% for each candidate—despite the Republican having come out of a deeply divisive primary.
