From The New Republic’s headline, you’d think chills would be sent down the spines of Republicans as their worries have heightened since August regarding their 2022 midterm chances. There’s a secret abortion army that’s coming to wreck the GOP. The Democrats are heavily betting that Americans will care more about abortion than the high inflation that’s torching home budgets and the economic recession that’s engulfed the nation, which the Biden administration points to as an indication that they’re leading the greatest economic revival in history.
It’s a nonissue in blue states.
I think abortion is murder. I also believe in a strictly limited federal government.
Leave it to each state. If they want to murder children, that’s between them and G-d.

If the voters of America care more about abortion than they do about the worst inflation in 40 years, millions of poor unvetted illegals being permitted to walk across our border, criminals being released with no bond, and the destruction of the fossil fuel industry, then there truly is no hope for the continued existence of the USA as a force for good in this world. Dictatorships will flourish and the second Dark Ages will make freedom and liberty vanish into a forgotten history.

Articles like that one are the journalistic equivalent of performing a toobin on themselves. They may honestly believe the tripe that they write but that doesn't make the fantasy real.

They seem to think that all women are pro abortion which is just not true. I would say that most married women and Christian woman are pro life. My church, Missouri Synod Lutheran is pro life.

I think these articles and fake Dem polls are being gunned up to explain all the fraudulent votes the Dems are planning to cast.

This is the current talking point. I guess if they are able to steal the election, this will be the excuse.

I think a good reason that there are women who are new voters is because they discovered what the schools are permitting to happen to their children and know they have to stop it. Maybe we are getting more young men registering because they do not want their daughters being forced to share a shower with a fat hairy man with his junk exposed.

I would be very careful in answering this question because I am very concerned about it, it is a big issue. I am concerned that if Republicans do not sweep the Dems out in November, there will be a national abortion law passed were it would be legal for any reason at any time during a pregnancy.
I have worked with Pro-Life agencies since the early 80's and have heard every rationalization on the issue. Most people claim to be "Pro-Choice" say "I would never have an abortion myself, but I can't make that decision for anyone else." Sounds reasonable. That is usually where they stop paying attention to the issue. If it doesn't touch them they're oblivious to all the noise. If you add that to the misleading to outright lying by the media, especially over the recent Supreme Court decision, you get people who answer polling questions based on the last thing they heard rather than facts. They say things like "Banning abortion totally doesn't seem right to me, " not understanding the manipulation they have experienced.
One of my best friends, very Pro-Life, a Trump supporter. and good (really) Catholic, was absolutely floored when I told her that the Left is going for ZERO restrictions on abortion. She had no idea that New York and California had already passed these laws and that our state of Illinois was about to pass the same.
It's kind of like the spouse who pretends to listen, who tries to prove he was paying attention by catching the last couple of words said. Then, is completely shocked when the new living room furniture arrives.

I’m thinking the spirits of all those murdered children may have something to say about that. What an evil political ideology.

I don't know any women that are pro-abortion. One of my daughters is a far leftist, Georgetown law grad who lives in the supreme cesspool, and she just went to a lot of trouble to have a baby boy at past forty.

It is going to come down to what affects the voter. Women, and men, who are pregnant and feel strongly about the abortion issue are likely to vote the way of the Democrats. There are more people in this country who need to feed their families than there are pregnant women and men.

Isn’t the New Republic the magazine that Stephen Glass wrote for? The same Stephen Glass that fabricated most of the stories that he wrote for the magazine and eventually got caught?

A staunch pro-abortion soul dies and stands before the Gates of Heaven.
He wants to enter the Gates, but is informed that all of the aborted children first have to vote on it.
