Protecting Lies With Disinformation

It is sometimes believed that the ability to lie confers an advantage. “Disinformation is false information deliberately spread to deceive people… Some consider it a loan translation of the Russian dezinformatsiya, derived from the title of a KGB black propaganda department.” The name itself is wrapped in deception. “Defector Ion Mihai Pacepa claimed Joseph Stalin coined the term, giving it a French-sounding name to claim it had a Western origin.” Here’s an example: “Operation INFEKTION was a Soviet disinformation campaign to influence opinion that the U.S. invented AIDS. The U.S. did not actively counter disinformation until 1980, when a fake document reported that the U.S. supported apartheid.”

Does this not perfectly describe nearly every Democrat campaign? FTA: “Disinformation is false information deliberately spread to deceive people They never tell you what they truly believe and want to do to you (it's never for you), and also make false claims about their opponent, in most cases too.

Finally, it appears that people are catching on. In today's RCP, Thomas Lipson equates Biden with Baghdad Bob. At some point, the lies can no longer be supported and the audience wakes up to the scam. I think we have come to the point in our trip to Oz when the curtain inadvertently falls back and the Man behind it is revealed. Yet, there are and will always be "true believers," for whom no lie is too outrageous, no falsehood too unsupported to stand, no claim too far beyond the pale; that is, the core of democrat party apparatchiks. They will continue to peddle their narrative far and wide seeking to deceive just one more gullible fool into voting them into power.

As usual, Wretchard makes excellent points about disinformation. And corruption. And how it rots out the military from the inside. FTA: "Russian army officers frequently lie to their superiors about their unit’s status. In his now-famous memoir, the former paratrooper Pavel Filatyev complains bitterly of “the system of photo reports [фотоотчетами] that is now so widespread in the army, when the command hides problems”. …" Here's another take on the same basic topic, if you are interested in how disinformation, which is a part of corruption works in real life. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i9i47sgi-V4&ab_channel=Perun

If you enjoyed watching the left squirm and enter fits of pearl-clutching rage after Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) flew 50 illegal immigrants to the deep-blue elitist Massachusetts island of Martha’s Vineyard, grab some popcorn and sit back in your comfiest chair because it’s about to get absolutely wild. The Florida governor took intense backlash for his decision to take advantage of Martha’s Vineyard’s sanctuary city policy, with some in the media even comparing his actions to those of Adolf Hitler. Clearly, DeSantis isn’t even the slightest bit fazed, as he recently doubled down on his new tactic during a press conference Friday, according to a CNN report. During the Friday presser,

I’ve always detested people who make facile comparisons of anything that goes on in the U.S. to the manifold horrors of Nazi Germany. The freedoms and privileges we’ve enjoyed in this extraordinary nation made even the worst problems we’ve experienced pale in comparison to the brutality and death perpetrated by the Third Reich. To my mind, drawing parallels between them is a cheap, insulting, and wholly illegitimate way of gaining quick attention. However, the MAGA+FASCIST= JANUARY 6th phony equation now emanating from Joe Biden and his party -- even going to the obscene length of enlisting the recent solemn remembrance of the 9/11 nightmare --

I would like to propose a new swear word. We already call people jerks, jackasses, lowlifes, SOBs, dirtbags, and jag-offs (for you people in Pittsburgh). I would like to add “Newsom” to the list. Newsom: (noun) a wealthy, tone-deaf person who has no self-awareness and no regard for others and who habitually commits callous, selfish actions. Or a person who believes that the top of his inseam is the center of the universe. I’m really hoping it will catch on: “You know, I thought Joe was cool, turns out he was just a Newsom.” Or, “Man, when Pete is drunk, he turns into a total Newsom.” Or, “Chill, bro, you don’t have

Lindell makes the point that his phone is what he uses to run his company and that it even controls his hearing aids. According to Department of Justice sources, Facebook has been spying on the private messages and data of Americans who questioned the 2020 election results and reporting them to the FBI. Since the election, Facebook has worked in conjunction with the FBI to report on “subversive” private messages, sending them to the FBI’s domestic terrorism operational unit, supposedly in redacted form, a direct violation of Americans’ First and Fourth Amendment rights. “It was done outside the legal process and without probable cause,” one of the sources told the New York Post. “Facebook provides the FBI with private conversations which are protected by the First Amendment without any subpoena.”

Dr. Mehmet Oz, Republican Senate candidate in Pennsylvania, recently attacked his opponent, the ridiculous Lt. Gov. John Fetterman, for a pro-criminal record that would embarrass George Soros. Specifically, he criticized Fetterman for employing as aides on his campaign Dennis and Lee Horton, who spent 27 years in prison for a horrific armed robbery murder. Drunk on his own self-righteousness, Fetterman sanctimoniously responded: “Does Dr. Oz believe that the wrongfully convicted should die in prison?” He added that the brothers “spent 27 years in prison for a crime they didn’t commit.” Members of the media, who fervently believe our prisons are just bursting at the

I heard only two weeks ago about a grandmother in New Orleans, Linda Frickey, 73, who was carjacked in March after taking a break from work to put something in her car. When the carjackers rushed the car and drove off, Frickey got tangled in the seatbelt and was dragged for one block as her clothes were being torn off. According to witness Leanne Mascar, after a neighbor frantically screamed to let her go, the carjackers “slowed down and opened the door to kick her out.” Naked and with her arm severed, that grandmother bled to death in the street. This happened as the blood of vicious murdering and random violence

The current anti-Trump and anti-MAGA witch-hunt is not about 2024. The Democrat DoJ is safe for two more years. It is about January 6, 2021. The target is not so much Trump as the idea that electoral votes could be legally contested on the joint session of Congress. Obviously, the DoJ violates core freedom of speech. It also ignores the clear letter and spirit of the law regarding the joint session for Presidential elections. 3 U.S. Code § 15 - Counting electoral votes in Congress clearly provides for raising and debating objections against “all the certificates and papers purporting to be certificates of

On Tuesday night, the company’s Facebook page announced his death. “Fred passed early this morning at his Redwood home in Denair, California, with family by his side,” they wrote. He, along with his brother and cousin, started the company in 1973 with the intent to make wine accessible for daily consumption. When asked how Bronco Wine Company can sell wine less expensive than a bottle of water, Franzia quipped, “They’re overcharging for the water — don’t you get it?”

Disgraced R&B star R. Kelly was convicted on federal child pornography charges Wednesday for making videos of himself abusing his 14-year-old goddaughter. The verdict followed a monthlong trial in Chicago, Kelly’s hometown, where jurors were shown excerpts of the disturbing footage and heard testimony from the victim, now 37, who was identified only as “Jane.” Jurors deliberated for about 11 hours, beginning on Tuesday afternoon, before returning with a guilty verdict on six of the 13 counts that Kelly had faced, including three child porn charges. The actual purpose of the 1972 law known as Title IX was to prohibit sex-based discrimination in school sports and programs. But now, the radical left is abusing Title IX to impose radical gender theory. Much has been made of how Joe Biden seeks to redefine “sex” under Title IX to include gender identity. Less attention has been paid to the fact that Biden’s 700-page-long proposed rules changes also include redefining actual pregnancy, the Heritage Foundation found. “The Biden administration wants to redefine pregnancy to include childbirth, lactation, and ‘termination of pregnancy’—that is, abortion,” explains Melanie Israel of the Daily Signal. “The administration’s three-pronged definition of pregnancy

“The documents were declassified!” “Trump had every right keep them!” “They posed no risk to national security!” Conservatives have been defending Trump with these kinds of arguments ever since the FBI raided Mar-a-Lago last month. They’re missing the point, though. Seeking to prove that Trump did nothing wrong in possessing these documents is like trying to establish that the victims of Stalin’s show trials weren’t in fact Trotskyites. Well, of course they weren’t. But Stalin didn’t care if his enemies – perceived or real – were Trotskyites or “counter-revolutionaries.” What mattered to him was that they were his enemies.

In a June statement, his doctor said he also had a serious heart condition called cardiomyopathy.
