The Justice Department continues to ramp up its war with former President Donald Trump and his associates, issuing over 40 subpoenas to his associates over the last week and seizing the phones of at least two top advisors. Many outlets are reporting this as breaking news, but RedState’s Nick Arama had already reported a lot of it going as back as far as Friday. A bit late to the party, The New York Times said on Monday: Justice Department officials have seized the phones of two top advisers to former President Donald J. Trump and blanketed his aides with about 40 subpoenas in a substantial escalation of the investigation into his

Well that should make for an interesting year for the DOJ, FBI, and a few other agencies when President Trump is re-elected President again in 2024.

Democrats are creating the narrative they need with this kind of behavior before they arrest and indict President Trump. They are going to make a long list of reasons and they don’t care if they are legal or illegal or even true to convince the people that he is guilty of inciting insurrection. This is the set up for them. It’s never about facts and evidence because they intend to try him the in the Court of public opinion first. The deck is so stacked against him that this will be nothing but a show trial that they will stretch out until 2024. This is their winning strategy for 2024 or so they believe. They will indict him and the never-Trump Rinos will go belly up when they do and start a whisper campaign against him or they just go full bore against him. Right now, the entire government is against the possibility of another Trump administration because if you think he was determined the last time around to drain the swamp, he is more determined than ever to expose the total corruption of these rogue agencies and demand justice for the American people whose lives have been destroyed by their tactics. They know they made a tactical error by revealing their hand with their blatant disregard of the law and now the lawlessness is out there for everyone to see. Their arrogance made them believe they were untouchable and, frankly, right now it looks like they can get away with anything. However, they know there is one guy who has a massive following and is as determined to do something about their unabashed lawlessness and they intend by any means to prevent the possibility of his running again for re-election. The people behind this, both democrats and republicans, have zero respect for the rule of law. This is nothing more than the lust for raw political power at any cost for democrats and protecting the status quo for Republicans. President Trump’s enemies are enemies of his supporters and they are using every intimidation tactic in the world to tell them they are so powerful that if they can indict and arrest a former President what chance do you have facing this government? Some people will desert him. They want the weak to know that no one is safe from them. This is the worst kind of political harassment and intimidation and democrats know that many high level Republicans will fold leaving President Trump with very few advocates. This administration has abused it power and turned various agencies into a Stasi-like arm of the government that has the power and the will to crush any opposition and they want us to know they will use it. The Biden administration does not even have a glancing view of the God given rights of Americans which our Founders codified in the Constitution and Bill of Rights. First of all, they deny God and secondly, they believe our founding documents are relics of the past and should not be the basis for governing. It is they and they alone who have the power to indict, arrest, and punish. Folks, we are living in political nightmare that if not stopped will become a totalitarian dystopia wherein we are nothing but wards of the state without any rights to petition our government for grievances. Democrats are making the case with President Trump that to oppose them will mean intimidation, indictment, arrest and finally prison. Don’t look to our Republican leadership to advocate for you. Just ask any political prisoner caught up in the J6 Stasi sweep if they have been any help to them as they suffer terribly under the Biden administration’s lawless FBI and DOJ. This has to be one of the most heinous acts of government persecution without the protection of the rule of law and equal protection under the law in this country’s history and Republicans for the most part will not touch it. Democrats know this and are counting on it. Imagine if you will, a government so corrupt that it has advocated to defund the police. Our big cities are violent nightmares where law and order is under attack and no one is safe from assault, rape or murder. Our country is more divided than ever by the direct actions of this administration. Our economy is in the tank. Our border is wide open. Our military has been weakened by its own woke leadership. Our schools are becoming violent leftist indoctrination centers. Our media is an arm of the radical democrat party. Our top government agencies are the enforcement arms of this radical administration. Our opposition party is lacking any will to address any of these issues with any meaningful strategy. Our government is holding political prisoners on what they know are trumped up charges. Our government has ceased to uphold the rule of law and equality under the law and are using intimidation tactics on a former President and his supporters. Maybe worst of all, our government is pushing us toward a hot civil war because they would rather burn this country down to the ground than admit defeat. We are in a world of hurt when all that stands between the good citizens of this country and a tyrannical government bent on destroying its opposition is the unthinkable. Republicans must wake up and understand the threat that is bearing down on everyone of us. If not, we can kiss this Constitutional Republic goodbye.

All three major indexes plunged on Tuesday after worse-than-expected inflation data raised fears the Federal Reserve will need to continue raising interest rates aggressively to bring prices under control. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell nearly 1,300 points, while the broad-based S&P 500 fell by over 4%. It was the worst day since June 2020 for both indices. The Nasdaq suffered an even bigger loss, dropping over 5% for its worst day since March 2020. The latest consumer price index showed prices rose by 8.3% in August from a year earlier. While that was less than in June, inflation didn't slow as much

President Joe Biden celebrated the passage of the “Inflation Reduction Act” by hosting an event at the White House Tuesday, the same day the Bureau of Labor Statistics released a report showing inflation had continued to rise in August, causing markets to plummet. “This bill cut costs for families. Helped reduce inflation at the kitchen table, because that’s what [people] look at — how much of their monthly bills they have to pay out for their necessities,” Biden said in a speech delivered outside the White House, thanking West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin for voting for the bill. “This bill alone is going to lower the deficit by $300 billion

Gas prices are down, providing a boon for Democrats in November. But food prices remain sky-high, giving Republicans an opening to keep inflation a top-of-mind issue in the midterms. The price of food at the grocery store is expected to increase by up to 11 percent this year with the cost of beef, poultry, milk, eggs and fruit driving the surge. Prices could shoot even higher with droughts affecting crops and a potential rail workers strike halting shipments needed for both food and crop production. The government’s latest Consumer Price Index report released Tuesday shows overall food prices continued to rise, by 0.8 percent in August. That’s slightly down

The S&P 500 dropped 3.2 percent, while the Nasdaq Composite fell 4.1 percent. The drop, which undid a week worth of gains, came after the Bureau of Labor Statistics revealed that the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 8.3 percent in August compared to the same time last year and increased 0.1 percent from the previous month. The rise was worse than the 8.1 percent increase that economists had expected, according to Dow Jones estimates. The month-to-month figure

About 53% of voters said the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act would immediately increase inflation compared to just 21% who said it would help reduce inflation, according to a survey by the Harris Poll and HarrisX. Another 26% said the legislation would have no effect. The numbers reflect a nationwide pessimism toward the state of the economy, as 66% of voters say the economy is weak compared to 34% who say it shows signs of being strong,

For two years, families have experienced the dire consequences of massive government spending at the gas pump , the grocery store, and elsewhere. Two years of Democrats’ one-party control in Washington was all it took for basic day-to-day needs to become more and more unaffordable for millions of hardworking people. Indeed, a report released in June found that more than half of the public is now living paycheck to paycheck. They have Democrats’ one-party rule in Washington to blame and the Biden administration’s expansion of government spending and new regulations, which has led us to a 40-year high inflation rate, economic stagnation, and lower wages

So much for the second iteration of “inflation’s over!” Today’s consumer price index report shows year-on-year inflation still roaring at 8.3%, thanks in part to soaring food costs, which offset a plateau on gasoline prices. However, even without food and energy, inflation picked up steam last month, as core CPI rose back above six percent year-on-year, and 0.6% month-on-month: The Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) rose 0.1 percent in August on a seasonally adjusted basis after being unchanged in July, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Over the last 12 months, the all items index increased 8.3 percent before seasonal adjustment.
