US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is expected to visit Taiwan as part of her tour of Asia, according to a senior Taiwanese government official and a US official, despite warnings from Biden administration officials, who are worried about China's response to such a high-profile visit. The stop -- the first for a US House speaker in 25 years -- is not currently on Pelosi's public itinerary and comes at a time when US-China relations are already at a low point. The Taiwanese official added that she is expected to stay in Taiwan overnight. It is unclear when exactly Pelosi will land in Taipei. The US official added that

She will be hailed as "courageous"; if a Republican speaker went, he/she would be universally attacked in legacy media as "trying to get us into World WarIII!" I also note that John Kirby handled the briefings on this -- way too important for poor Karine Jean Pierre.

What a steaming load of garbage. This whole Taiwan visit is once again a media propaganda campaign to take the public's attention away from Evil Nancy Pelosi and her horndog drunken husband's years of getting extremely wealthy off of blatant and criminal insider trading. Her Asian trip is nothing more than a trip to collect bags of services rendered cash from all the countries she visits. Hope her plane follows the same flight plan as that Malaysian airliner. Pay no attention to the Pelosi insider trading criminal scandal behind the curtain. Look over here. Look away citizen chumps. Ask yourself why would the communist Chinese shoot down one of their most staunched communist allies in the the Federal Government and Congress. They won't and are just playing along with this charade.

Back during the first winter of the Korean War as the US and UN forces were driving the beaten North Korean Army back towards the Chinese Communist border the Chinese Communists warned that if U.S. troops came anywhere near the Yalu River that made up the borderline between China and North Korea that Communist China would enter the war. Those warnings were ignored by the USA leadership of the day, and in the dead of winter huge masses of the Chinese People’s Army covertly crossed the Yalu River and started engaging with US Marines and Solders who were moving North from the Chosen Reservoir, US Army units, specifically of the 32nd Infantry Regiment ( which I served in in South Korea) were completely wiped out by massive and unexpected attacks by the Chinese People’s Army resulting in two U.S. Divisions, the First Marine Division and the Army’s Seventh Infantry Division, both suffering heavy casualties having to fight their way back to a coastal port to be evacuated to the South. The Chinese attacks all across the UN front then drove the US and the UN forces with heavy casualties, all the way back South to about the 38th parallel to where the war turned into over a two year stalemate and about where the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) remains today as the uneasy border between North and South Korea. The object of that story is a lesson to US leaders that when they are dealing with China regarding anything near China, that they should keep a so-called weathers eye out or they might suffer serious adverse effects especially with China being much more powerful then back during the Korean War era.

The CCP only cares that Pelosi advertised a trip to their breakaway province. Since 1979 the US has acknowledged the Chinese claim to the island. This is something to feed the domestics while COVIDS shutdowns are on the table and used there. There is no intention to actually shoot down Pelosi or invade Taiwan. To what end? So, the trip goes off the official calendar. The Chinese save face. Nancy is a brave diplomat. Everyone is "happy".

There is no upside for China to use force. They may run a few military planes into the airspace near Nancy's plane, but they will then say that due to compassion for a brainwashed American, they allowed the plane to land in Taiwan.

Eric Schmitt has won the Republican nomination for Senate in Missouri, NBC News projects, ending a comeback bid by the state’s disgraced former governor, Eric Greitens. Schmitt, the state’s attorney general, was leading Rep. Vicky Hartzler, with Greitens further behind in third place, according to early results. He will face the winner of Tuesday’s Democratic primary between Marine veteran Lucas Kunce and Trudy Busch Valentine, a nurse and heir to the Anheuser-Busch beer fortune. That race is too early to call. The GOP contest commanded extraordinary attention for a primary in a reliably red state.

Businesswoman and conservative commentator Tudor Dixon won the Republican primary for Michigan governor on Tuesday, setting up a tough general election race against Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. Dixon defeated four male candidates in a race between little-known Republicans. She was endorsed by former President Donald Trump and the prominent Michigan Republican family of former Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, as well as the Michigan Chamber of Commerce and several anti-abortion organizations. The mother of four made education a top issue of her campaign, saying she wants to keep drag queens and talk of sex and gender out of elementary schools. She opposes abortion, except to save

The DC Comics film “Batgirl” will be completely “shelved” by Warner Bros., a top Hollywood source told The Post. That means it won’t hit theaters or the streaming service HBO Max. Fans will not see it. The reportedly $70 million movie (the source said the budget was actually more than $100 million), which was doing test screenings for audiences in anticipation of a late 2022 debut, would rank among the most expensive cinematic castoffs ever. Those tests were said to be so poorly received by moviegoers that the studio decided to cut its losses and run, for the sake of the brand’s future. It’s a DC disaster.
Idaho near-total abortion ban challenged

The Department of Justice filed a lawsuit on Tuesday challenging Idaho's near-total ban on abortion, arguing that it would criminalize doctors for performing abortions during medical emergencies. Idaho's law is set to take effect on Aug. 25 after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in June, returning the issue of abortion to the states. The law bans all abortions except for cases of incest or rape that are reported to law enforcement, or when a physician determines "in his good faith medical judgment and based on the facts known to the physician at the time, that the abortion was necessary to prevent the death of the pregnant woman."

Miami -- The NFL notified the Miami Dolphins on Tuesday that the team would be stripped of its 2023 first-round pick, among other disciplinary measures, for violations of league policies relating to the integrity of the game. Following a six-month investigation, the league found the Dolphins -- primarily team owner Stephen Ross and vice chairman/limited partner Bruce Beal -- violated the anti-tampering policy on three occasions from 2019 to 2022 in conversations with quarterback Tom Brady and the agent for then-New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton. The NFL, however, found no evidence that the team intentionally lost games during the 2019 season. In February, former Dolphins coach

Both his doctor, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, and Joe Biden himself said he had no reemergence of symptoms. Here’s the doctor’s letter from July 30. In further letters on July 31 and August 1, the doctor didn’t mention any symptoms but mentioned he would inform people if there were any changes in his condition. But then on Monday, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said Biden had no “reoccurring symptoms” and then in the next breath suggested he had lingering symptoms.

CNN's new CEO, Chris Licht, has been attending to an audience neglected by the network for the past several years: Republican lawmakers. The network boss camped out in mid-July in a room on the first floor of the Senate side of the Capitol, S-120, where he asked GOP lawmakers to come talk with him privately. That arrangement avoided alerting the reporters who stalk the halls of the Capitol, sources said, and accommodated Republican lawmakers who preferred not to be seen hobnobbing with him.
