January 6 defendant Mark Aungst of Williamsport, Pennsylvania committed suicide this week according to the local coroner. Aungst pleaded guilty last month to parading in the Capitol and was facing up to six months in prison and a $5000 fine. A citywide 'tactical alert' was ordered by the Los Angeles police department after two people were shot dead and at least five more injured during a Sunday shooting in the city's San Pedro neighborhood.
