The left has a new enemy in their saga to make January 6th the preeminent issue of our time: The US Secret Service. Reports have been flying around asserting that the Secret Service deleted text messages dating to the time of the unrest at the Capitol Building. That was confirmed on Tuesday, after officials announced that there are no new texts to provide to the January 6th committee that are relevant to its “investigation.” Any others of concern have already been purged, though, the agency insists there was no purposeful malicious action in doing so. That comes via The Washington Post, which is now sounding the alarm about possible illegality

New York Democrat Gov. Kathy Hochul's campaign sent an email about upcoming campaign events being held by Lee Zeldin, her Republican challenger in the New York gubernatorial race, prior to a man's attempted attack on him while he was speaking Thursday evening.
Prior to the Zeldin campaign event, Hochul's campaign sent out a media advisory, titled "'Big Lie' Lee kicks off statewide 'MAGA Republican' bus tour," to subscribers of its email list. That email, according to NY1 reporter Zack Fink, contained information pertaining to Zeldin's upcoming campaign events, including the dates and times the events were scheduled to begin.
During a recent New York Republican gubernatorial primary debate, Rep. Lee Zeldin, R-N.Y., revealed he had a black belt and once won a competition in sparring. His self-defense skills became lifesaving Thursday after a man tried to stab him during a campaign event.
Zeldin was at the Veterans of Foreign Wars post event in Perinton, New York when a man identified as David G. Jakubonis lunged at Zeldin's neck with a sharp object. Zeldin was able to defend himself until other bystanders stepped in to subdue the attacker.

In an interview with Fox News, Trump said she was “fulfilling” her official duties as the first lady during the infamous events that day.
“On January 6, 2021, I was fulfilling one of my duties as First Lady of the United States of America, and accordingly, I was unaware of what was simultaneously transpiring at the U.S. Capitol Building,” Trump said.
Her comments follow after her former Chief of Staff Stephanie Grisham alleged that Trump did not immediately sign off on a statement condemning the protests.

As if we needed more issues to compound the supply chain crisis, trucker protests have entered their fourth day at Oakland’s ports. The problem with these protests is that the truckers who are demonstrating are justified.
These protests are against California’s recent law that treats freelancers, independent contractors, and other “gig workers” as employees, and since the state refuses to listen to the protesters, they’re digging in further.

In an interview with the New York Times, Cheney alleged her alliance with Democrats on the partisan January 6 commission to attack Trump is not political but rather educational.
