For conservatives, backing the blue comes has come naturally. We inherently believe in good and evil, which trickles down into striving for a just society that centers around law and order. Police aren’t perfect, but their flaws outweigh the indecency inflicted upon the rest of us by the scum of the earth.
For this reason, watching the George Floyd Riots wreak untold havoc and carnage across our nation induced a visceral response of horror and anger. How could the police stand by? How could they kneel with anarchists? Everything we knew to be true about good and evil, law and order was ignored and recklessly discouraged.

I have no idea what went through this guys head, but I can't think of any reason for this reponse to a dinged car door. Did he say something to her after the ding and she got lippy with him? Maybe, but still no cause for what he did. As it stands right now just from the video...fire the jerk.

I'd like to point out that this was not NYC, it was Rochester NY. NYC gets a bad enough rap not to have to take on more.

If the cruiser was parked in the ambulance bay, it was the cop's fault.

#3, one version I read of this, it was his private car, not a police vehicle.

Like any other profession there will be bad apples. Some police officers are drunk on power and think they have license to plow over anyone’s rights if they so choose. Doesn’t make them all bad but these jackasses need to be removed.

With the 365 poopshow that LE have been smacked down by media & rotten pols for years, is it any wonder that the cream of the crop are getting scarcer? I'm guessing that those who serve our towns & cites of outstanding character and performance are getting fewer and farther between.

#5: The odds are that this officer will be investigated by his departmental peers and let off with a slap on the wrist and returned to full duty. Due to immunity laws the EMT has no recourse for this false arrest, assault and misuse of powers by this officer. This is just another reason why more and more people do not trust police.

If the patient that was being transported died or had any worse health issues because of the officer's arrogant attitude preventing the patient from getting swift care, the officer could have and should have been sued.

Not allowed to say 'no' to a police officer.

As others have said, one bad apple doesn't mean all police officers are bad. Unfortunately, too many good police officers have forgotten the saying, "one bad apple spoils the bunch" and give bad behavior by their peers a pass out of "professional courtesy". This is a mistake of grave significance, because as police officers get away with bad behavior they exhibit MORE bad behavior, and lead other police officers to do the same.
The fact of the matter is that police officers should be held to a higher standard than other citizens.

The patient should sue the cop for "pain and suffering". Someone needs to send the idiot a wake up call.

This is Eric Adams NYPD. He owns them. This is not the first time his LEOs acted irresponsibly. Check out this 1st Amendment Audit (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZlcZdp9vVVk&t=1s). NYPD is running wild literally.

Felons walk free in NYC.
But ding the car of an ILLEGALLY parked car belonging to an entitled cop and you get arrested violently while trying to do you job of saving lives there.
Yeah, our nation used to be one of the rule of law.
Now the thugs are in charge and only go after their personal foes.

People LOVE videos where firemen smash out the windows of cars illegally parked in front of hydrants...Videos where handicapped people trash, ding cars with no placard parked in Handicapped spots, entrances. Pretty sure there is an "Ambulance ONLY" sign where they roll up to discharge...Unless the Cop was in an ambulance..there was another place he should have been. He likely wasn't within the lines of the designated spots either.

Though there "may" have been some incitement/Lip from the EMT, who knows...we'll see.

The fact that the EMT appears to be a woman of color, smaller in stature than the "arresting" officer, troubles me greatly. What on earth could she do to protect herself and her patient? This video just makes me boil!

The cop was in a space reserved for ambulances and harassed an EMT actually transporting a patient.
The cop should lose his job.

Having spent some years as a cop in the 80's, I did see an interesting phenomenon. The job seemed to attract and awful lot of playground bullies (so they could keep bullying) and their playground victims (so they wouldn't have to be victims anymore). The best cops I knew were the ones who really didnt want the job.

ROCHESTER, NY. Nice job media. Rochester has a new Police chief. We will see what happens, but the tough guy RPD cop, probably should not be a cop.
