Texas ‘Triple Threat’ Leads Hispanic
Voters’ Seismic Shift Toward GOP

Republican Mayra Flores’s special election victory Tuesday is the latest of the mounting evidence that Hispanic voters are inching away from the Democrat Party. Flores defeated Democrat Dan Sanchez by eight points in the heavily Hispanic 34th District, becoming the first Mexican-born woman in Congress and the first Republican to represent the Rio Grande Valley in roughly 150 years. Now she, along with two other Republicans, Cassy Garcia and Monica De La Cruz, have found themselves at the forefront of an undeniable national trend as they work to redden the three districts covering Texas’s southern-most point.

BTW, I will be voting for Monica in TX-15 this fall. I think it's Myrna Flores who just won spec election in Tx-34 is married to US Border Patrol agent. She's going to have a tougher time in Nov. As the RAT from TX-15 moved to Tx-34 since he nearly lost in 2020.

WashPost's Rampell Frets Voters Blaming
Dems for Inflation, GOP Agenda is Worse

The leftist media really doesn’t want you to vote out Democrats over inflation and gas prices in the upcoming midterm elections. This has been a recent theme in their coverage in recent months. They finally acknowledge inflation is bad but they take issue with you holding their party accountable for spurring it. The most recent example of this is a column from The Washington Post’s Catherine Rampell where she bemoans the fact that voters appear poised to oust the Democrats over sky high inflation and record gas prices.

Washington, Baltimore, Atlanta, Los Angeles and Milwaukee are on track to surpass their already-soaring homicide rates from last year. Last year, the FBI warned that homicides in the US rose nearly 30 percent from 2020 and overall violent crime rose for the first time in four years. The stunning trend in homicides has continued this year. In Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the homicide rate leaped 24.7 percent from the year-to-date compared to the same period last year. Washington, D.C., and Atlanta, Georgia, have seen a 13.4 percent and 13.3 percent increase in homicides, respectively, Fox first reported.

During Monday’s broadcast of FNC’s “Fox & Friends,” former House Speaker Newt Gingrich weighed in on Democrats reportedly questioning if President Joe Biden should run again in 2024. With former President Donald Trump’s decision about running in 2024 still looming, Gingrich said that “every week that goes by, Donald Trump’s presidency looks better.” He pointed to the record-high inflation, the border crisis and gas prices, saying people preferred Trump’s policies. “[E]very week that goes by, Donald Trump’s presidency looks better,” Gingrich advised. “Look at his inflation rate, look at the price of gasoline when Trump was president.

Mike Pence criticized Joe Biden's stewardship of the economy but avoided any criticism of Donald Trump, who had called him a 'human conveyor belt' for failing to reject what he said were fraudulent votes in the 2020 election. 'Tough economic times are upon us,' Pence said Monday during a speech to the University Club of Chicag, which he used as an indictment of Biden's presidency. 'The economic woes now upon us have been caused almost single handedly by one person,' he said. And, he warned, Americans 'know there will be more economic pain to come.'

A few days ago, employees of spaceflight company Space X released an open letter criticizing their CEO Elon Musk. Less than 48 hours later, at least five employees who orchestrated the letter were fired. Good. The dam is breaking. The “listen to meeeeee” millennials, who have had an overblown influence on corporations, and on our culture, are finally being told to sit down and be quiet. It is very much overdue. But isn’t Elon Musk supposed to be a “free speech absolutist?” screech his critics. As I explain to my small children, freedom of speech under the First Amendment means the government can’t arrest you for calling the president a doofus.

President Joe Biden has repeatedly touted the country’s “job recovery” since he took office, even declaring earlier this week that his administration’s efforts “created the greatest job recovery in American history.” Economists and fact checkers, however, are unconvinced that Biden played much of a role in the numbers. The U.S. plummeted into a recession in March 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, with a swiftness not seen since the Great Depression, the Congressional Research Service later found. Since then, restrictions imposed as a result of the pandemic have continued to loosen — allowing Americans to head back to jobs they essentially already have.

Following Buttigieg’s own flight being canceled, forcing him to drive from Washington to New York, he said his department has authority to enforce action against airlines that do not sufficiently maintain consumer-protection standards, potentially requiring them to hire more staff. This week, Hillary Clinton dispelled the rumors that she might be running for presidential office again in 2024. The 2016 Democratic candidate who faced former President Trump, told the Financial Times in an interview published Friday that there were no plans to run for office in 2024. “No, out of the question,” Clinton told the Financial Times. “First of all, I expect Biden to run. He certainly intends to run. It would be very disruptive to challenge that.” Clinton made her failed bid for President in 2016 and unsuccessfully sought the Democratic presidential nomination in 2008. Another bid for the office seems like it would be a wasted effort.

Pro-abortion activists dressed in blood-soaked outfits and brandishing dolls held a protest outside the home of Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett on Saturday as the court is poised to overturn Roe V. Protesters from the Rise Up 4 Abortion Rights group gathered outside Barrett's home in Falls Church, Virginia, waving signs calling on the Supreme Court to protect women's federal abortion rights. The group also carried dolls and wore white pants with blood stains around the crotch, which they said represented an increase in the number of forced births that would take place if Barrett and her fellow conservative justices strike down Roe v. Wade.

In her June 18/19 column at the Wall Street Journal, Ms. Noonan takes Hillary Clinton's "deplorables" slap at Trump voters and goes one — nay, two better. She refers to voters who question the results of the 2020 presidential election as "kooks, crooks, and freaks" and then smears the citizens who went to Washington, D.C. January 6, 2021 as "[t]hose poor stupid people." What is the basis for this criticism, which, arguably, is less ad hominem and, more accurately, descriptive of her mindset? Perhaps Ms. Noonan has not read Margot Cleveland's analysis in The Federalist showing how Georgia election officials failed to enforce the state's election laws in 2020.
