Have We Become Amerika?

A 1987 television miniseries that visualized the condition of the U.S. a decade after the country had surrendered to the Soviet Union was probably not far off the mark. Life in “Amerika” was nothing like life in America before the Soviet takeover. Though the USSR no longer exists, life in this country in 2022 feels like Amerika due to transformational changes brought by virulent inside influences, just as Nikita Khrushchev said would happen. The U.S. is not a single-party state. There are pockets of resistance to the progressive agenda, most notably in Texas and Florida. But the effort

Excellent article. Here is a particularly truthful paragraph: “ Leftists are in the minority in the U.S. Yet they punch far above their weight politically and culturally. They get their way through bullying, crying, turning protests into violent engagements, partnering with a like-minded media, throwing tantrums, and lying in ways that a decade or two ago were unfathomable, even in a profession (politics) that mass produces falsehoods.” All I can add is God help us.

Yes. But, FTA - "They get their way through bullying, crying, turning protests into violent engagements, partnering with a like-minded media, throwing tantrums, and lying in ways that a decade or two ago were unfathomable, even in a profession (politics) that mass produces falsehoods." Such is how the dims and the left operate. And these behaviors work for them. Now just suppose that the right-minded crowd were to behave the same way, how different things would be. It could still be "America".

4, It is not in the DNA of the right to behave as emotional toddlers as the left does. We do not win by throwing tantrums. We win by letting the left THROW their tantrums, then STICK TO OUR GUNS (figuratively and literally) and do not move from our reasoned positions on the issues. The problem is, much of the right, like a weary parent, wants those throwing tantrums to just stop and will do anything to make them stop - thus ensuring more of these effective tantrums. We win by standing firm like a good parent does when their 2 year old throws himself on the floor, screaming and thrashing, because he does not want to bend his will to reason.

# 2: You're right. Everything we see them do, from putting our free market capitalism system (which they hate) in the dirt, to attacking religion, to discrediting our historical icons (Founding Fathers, et.al), to indoctrinating our school kids, to controlling entertainment and undermining our traditional culture - is right out of the Marxist playbook. We need to start calling people like Obama and most other Dem politicians what the are - MARXISTS. Obama, working through Biden, has taken the gloves off. We need to do the same.

The Republic of Texas approaches. Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, S Dakota, N Dakota, Montana, Alberta (Canada), Saskatchewan (Canada), Manitoba (Canada), and a few states along the sides. Let's go EAST. Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida. We have every shipping port in The Gulf of Mexico and half the Atlantic and more oil than the Saudis ever dreamed of. California and New York can print their own money. If they want to trade they can use Panama. We WILL protect our borders ,north, south, east, and west. If you're coming to visit Texas bring your US passport with the pre-approved visitor's visa.

"Conservatives" react, and often far too late, after they've pooh-poohed those leftist ideas and tut-tutted their protests and rioting. Then they spring into "action", demanding something be done about the lawlessness. They also fail to recognize when their own corps of "real Conservatives" go wrong. (That's what makes the "left" different. They bully their electeds into compliance.) If PDT wrongly invokes the Defense Production Act excuses are made; Joe does it (twice) to support his agenda and no response. What do imported solar panels and baby formula have to do with "defense"? What next? Ramped up production of EVs for our "War on Global Climate Change"?) People love "free sh-tuff" from the government, from tax cuts to cell phones. They want "affordable" this and subsidized that. Gas too high? Start draining that strategic reserve! Let's stop kidding ourselves. Anyone return their COVID stimulus money?

No doubt about it, the economic news in recent weeks has been relentlessly negative. Indicator after indicator shows activity plunging sharply in key parts of the economy. Now, a widely followed indicator signals economic growth is likely to be zero in the current quarter, after the first quarter’s “unexpected” 1.4% decline. Buckle up, looks like we’re entering a recession, folks. Let’s review just some of the economic carnage of recent days: The Fed raised interest rates by 3/4 of a percentage point on Wednesday, the largest hike since 1994,

On day 487 in office, President Joe Biden set a new record. He has the lowest approval rating of all presidents at this point in their presidencies since Gallup started tracking this in 1945. According to Gallup’s Presidential Job Approval Center, just 41% approve of the job Biden is doing. That’s worse than Gerald Ford, or Lyndon Johnson, or even Jimmy Carter on day 487. Much worse than Ronald Reagan, the Bushes, Bill Clinton, or Barack Obama. To add insult to his injury, Biden’s approval rating is now lower than Trump’s was at this point in Trump’s first term. Biden’s oh-so-presidential response to his cratering support: he is “seething.”

Inflation in May hit 8.6%, the highest level since 1981, much higher than the expected 8.2% increase, and despite all the “expert” predictions that inflation had already peaked. Is it any wonder that nobody believes what the elites tell us anymore? President Joe Biden said on Friday that he “is going to continue to do everything we can to lower the prices for the American people.” Like what? By attacking oil companies and blaming Putin? If the experts were right, Biden wouldn’t have to do anything, because they were all exclaiming in April that inflation had peaked and would soon be heading downward.

Some 44% of Americans said they were either “very confident” (21%) in the committee’s investigation or “somewhat confident” (23%) that the Democrat-dominated Jan. 6 Commission “will make a genuine effort to uncover the truth.” The online poll of 1,310 adults was taken from June 8 to June 10. It’s bad enough that someone in America could become so unhinged by nonstop far-left media propaganda that he’d try to kill a Supreme Court justice. But far worse is the blasé reaction by the Democratic Party and its extreme-left pro-abortion allies to the attempted murder of Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Following his arrest in the early hours Wednesday, Nicholas John Roske told federal law enforcement officials that he intended to kill Kavanaugh. He was, he said, angry that the Supreme Court might soon overturn the Roe v. Wade abortion decision — which, by the way, would only mean that states,

"Deliberate and intentional. Two words you can expect Republicans to utter a lot more as they make the case that what ails America now isn’t an accident. It’s Joe Biden’s design.” That’s how Just the News’ John Solomon characterizes the shift in tone among Republicans in the runup to the midterm elections this fall. The leftist media is sure to attack this sort of language as crazy and dangerous QAnon conspiracy talk. But ask yourself, what would Biden be doing differently if his goal was to purposely send the country into a tailspin?

Wasn’t it not even a year ago we were told that inflation would, in fact, be a “good” thing? That it was “transitory”? Not a serious threat. Now we’re finding that the media, Wall Street economists, Fed officials, but most of all, the Biden administration, were all wrong. Does anyone pay a price for gross incompetence anymore? Last year, headlines were filled with inflation cheerleaders. We searched the term “inflation is good” and got back 508 million hits. What’s troubling about this expert consensus is that inflation, now at a 40-year-high, isn’t good for anyone.

John Kerry, who is the U.S. special presidential envoy for climate, stated at a recent event at the University of Southern California that the country does not need to put more effort into drilling for oil and gas as energy costs continue to rise. The most obvious sign of the increase in energy costs has been at gas stations, where the national average now stands at $5.01 per gallon, but utility bills are also expected to increase this summer. Republicans in Congress have called for more domestic production to increase the supply of oil in order to reduce the cost.
