“The View” co-host Sunny Hostin railed against guns on Thursday, saying Republicans can’t be trusted and calling Sen. Mitch McConnell a “filthy liar” while branding the GOP as the party of insurrectionists and massacres.
As the hosts of the liberal gabfest raged about gun control measures, including red flag laws following a spate of deadly mass shootings across the nation, Hostin viciously tore into conservatives and called for the banning of guns.
Co-host Sara Haines pointed out that red flag laws in Florida have not hurt GOP candidates in that state who backed them following the Parkland school shooting.
“I understand what you’re saying, Sarah, that you’re talking about Florida, the state,

At a signing of the Freedom First Budget, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis tore into President Joe Biden for the economic crisis now hitting already struggling Americans.
“We have to look at what we’re doing against the backdrop of what’s going on in Washington, D.C. and particularly, there’s a fella by the name of ‘Brandon’ that people talk about that we have to contend with,” he said, sparking laughter from those in attendance.
“I see this news report where Biden is so frustrated that his approval ratings are in the toilet,” DeSantis continued. “He can’t understand. He’s lashing out at his staff. He’s blaming other people. He’s blaming the media,

In the wake of the deadly Uvalde school shooting that left 19 kids and two adults dead, the heated debate of whether to arm teachers or not has been a major topic between both parties.
In the midst of all the gun control talk, Ohio may soon allow teachers to be armed in classrooms.
HB 99, which passed by a 23-9 vote in the State Senate and a 56-34 vote in the State House, was fast-tracked through the legislature, allowing teachers and other school staff to carry guns on school premises requiring only 24 hours of training.
It would mandate at least 18 hours of general training,

Jesus said in his Sermon on the Mount, in a series of statements commonly known as, “The Beatitudes,”
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.”
Now that the majority of the camera lights and narrative-seeking journalists have left Uvalde, Texas, the community has the space to grieve–and they have been. But they are not alone and not without comfort, especially from our four-legged treasures.
The subject of this week’s Feel-Good Friday.
From The Oklahoman:
A Lutheran church in Kingfisher sent a ministry dog and a crisis response team to comfort grieving families in Uvalde, Texas, after an elementary school shooting left 19 children and two teachers dead.

The funerals for those killed in the tragic school shooting that occurred in Uvalde, TX, have started to take place. That comes amidst the relentless politicization of the event by the left and the media–despite the fact that in such a moment, there’s typically nothing a family wants more than privacy.
Yet, a “health reporter” from The Houston Chronicle (again, trying to politicize what happened), attempted to crash one memorial in order to take pictures. Fortunately, a group of bikers, who were there providing security, had other ideas. [Video]
If you watch the video, you’ll see the reporter hassle the bikers, saying he’s “just trying to do” his job

It has become increasingly evident that members of the Border Patrol, specifically those on the elite BORTAC team, defied orders from Uvalde police and breached the classroom the shooter was in at Robb Elementary School in order to stop the attack.
The local police appeared to believe the situation had turned from an active shooter to a "barricaded" subject despite 9-1-1 calls being made by children who were trapped inside the classroom with the shooter. If not for the Border Patrol agents, the shooter could have claimed more lives. Now, House Democrats on the Homeland Security Committee want to investigate the agents' role in killing the shooter.

Abortion providers in Florida filed a lawsuit this week to block a state law that prohibits most abortions after 15 weeks gestation. The law is scheduled to go into effect next month. Some of the groups involved in the case are Planned Parenthood, the Center for Reproductive Rights and the ACLU of Florida.
“The Florida Supreme Court has long held that their state constitution protects the right to end a pregnancy,” said Nancy Northup, president of the pro-abortion Center for Reproductive Rights, in a statement this week. “That means even if Roe falls, abortion should remain protected in Florida, and this ban should be blocked.”

It never fails to amaze me how it’s usually the same powerful movers and shakers who are protected to the gills with armed security who are also the ones essentially telling the common man and woman that they, on the other hand, don’t need police nor a firearm to protect themselves.
That is, unfortunately, exactly how things played out Thursday during a House Judiciary Committee markup session on new legislation crafted by committee Chair Jerry Nadler that Democrats say is aimed at protecting children from gun violence in the aftermath of the horrific mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas

It’s not enough that they have to sit through woke classes with Marxist professors attempting to indoctrinate them in leftist ideology. No, students at top universities just wanting to get a degree that will help them get an actual job have to sit through woke commencement speeches on their way to getting that coveted diploma.
But Harvard psychology major Emma Heussner wasn’t having it, choosing to walk out in the middle of Attorney General Merrick Garland’s insufferable speech–instead of listening to his inane drivel. [Video]
At Harvard, long considered one of the nation’s most prestigious universities, you get to be inspired by our heavily politicized attorney general.

Joe Biden tells whoppers with such frequency, it is difficult to know when he is telling the truth. Remarkably, even when his falsehoods are publicly condemned, he unabashedly repeats them, apparently on the premise that if a falsehood is repeatedenough, the American people will believe it. Biden thus tries to dupe the American people into believing a distorted view of history and law in aid of his far-left political agenda. Of course, the currency of the far left has long been to revise history and law in ways that cast aspersion on the champions and cause of liberty in order to bring about “transformational change,”

A week after the tragic shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, details are increasingly emerging that change the original timelines that were given. The updates, as it turns out, are often more tragic and infuriating.
Matt highlighted on Friday afternoon how the Texas Department of Public Safety, Col. Steven C. McCraw explained that they had made the decision for officers to not go in to engage with the shooter, Salvador Rolando Ramos, the 18-year old who is now deceased. This happened all while Ramos murdered 21 people, as parents desperately tried to go in to save their children but were physically prevented from doing so by police.

Buried in the middle of an NBC News report on Biden's haphazard and crisis-ridden administration is a nugget that, to most observers, has been a long time coming: White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain is looking for an exit strategy.
Like most palace intrigue stories about the goings on inside the West Wing, NBC News bases its report on "people close to the White House" without any concrete attribution. "Multiple people close to the White House said they’ve heard that chief of staff Ron Klain will depart at some point after the midterms, and one has heard him discuss leaving," the report alleges.

I would have done the same thing.
