Russian state TV has brazenly simulated how Vladimir Putin would launch a nuclear strike on three capital cities in Europe, declaring there would be 'no survivors', in response to comments made by the UK's Armed Forces Minister supporting Ukrainian strikes on Russian infrastructure.Hosts on Channel One's 60 Minutes programme announced the cities of London, Paris and Berlin could be hit within 200 seconds of nuclear missiles being launched, as tensions ramp up amid the ongoing war in Ukraine. It comes as ex-Nato chief Richard Sherriff warned the West must 'gear itself up' for a 'worst case scenario' war with Russia in Ukraine, amid reports the Russian president could use

Problem for the West is, Putin wouldn't openly "declare all-out war" until after he had already launched his missiles. And, even if he did pre-declare it, Biden wouldn't quite grasp the significance of it until our ashes were were already raining from the sky. And then, there's China... Isn't it great to live in interesting times!

Those Russian propagandists apparently failed to point out that the British and French navies also have strategic nuclear ballistic missiles aboard nuclear submarines, that’s beside the US strategic nuclear missile submarines, that you can bet most all of those submarines are today at sea, loaded with nuclear missiles that are aimed at Moscow and other important Russian infrastructure throughout that land.
On top of that, if a number of strategic nuclear warheads were to be detonated in Western Europe, the radiation released after those nuclear explosions would head East directly into Russia.

Maybe it’s time to take Russian interests seriously rather than dismissively. Why are we governed by the absolutely worst people?

Tell Putin to recall what a Cobalt Bomb is, and whether he can run or hide from its effects.

if it weren't for their missiles, artillery and air cover they'd be up a creek - they're having a hard time with the Ukrainians and now they want to fight all of Europe? - sounds more Hitlerian but maybe Vlad the Imposer isn't dealing from a full deck or, maybe he is, we will never know until he acts

This is Russia acting out as a "crazy man" in the face of MAD. Mother Russia is presenting a position of military weakness. They've become North Korea.

Putin is playing a dangerous game with all his posturing...what he DOES KNOW is if he uses 1 nuclear device, no matter it's size, he will have a Lap full of ICBM's in short order!

Careful, DM. One would think you are doing the Global Elite’s work for them, by trying to push Putin into a nuclear strike, the same way y’all pushed him into invading Ukraine in the first place.

Clearly, the world would be a much better place without Russians in it.
This has to be the most warped, paranoid, sinister, evil country that has ever existed.
They produce nothing useful. Their chief export product, oil, is just accidental. They could not have even developed it without western assistance. Their other export product, cheap weapons, have enabled thugs and warlords to terrorize and oppress weak unarmed civilians. The souks and bazaars of the third world are brimming with soviet/russian weapons. The west had Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, Bill Gates, while Russian gave the world Michael Kalishnikov. Now it is evident that the one thing russians were supposed to be good at...tank warfare... they are rank amateurs. Their poorly trained rabble of lazy conscripts led by inept, corrupt, incompetent officer corps has been beat by a country that 7 years ago did not even have a military. So, of course, lash out against unarmed civilians since they can't stand up to armed troops.
Have the russians ever contemplated why their one-time Warsaw Pact allies want nothing to do with them?
The west has not had to invade any Eastern European countries to force them to join NATO, those countries asked to join. Mainly, they joined to avoid having to deal with russia. Notice that when the Berlin wall came down people were not heading East, they were heading West. Putin's actions towards Ukraine are like a jealous, psychotic, abusive ex-husband who found out that his ex-wife has started dating, so he goes to beat her up. Except, this time the ex-wife put him in the hospital.

This is between the EU and Putin. I am not involved in this. I am not supporting or following Biden and Blinken anywhere.

If the war goes nuclear, no one wins. I'm no longer making predictions. I really didnt believe that Russia would invade Ukraine in a full scale war. I really believe that they would have gone into the breakaway regions and stop there. I really believed that the war would be over in a week, but here we are. I really believed that the Russian military was far better than this. I also believed that first world nations had outgrown going to war over "concerns".
I also believed that the US would never have a completely inept president. I also never believed that I would ever be sent to HR for saying that men cant menstruate and give birth.

Putin is poison for his own country, and for other countries. Irrationality does not seem to have limits for this guy.

As much as I don't want anyone to be "nuked", essentially all of the stories about "what it would be like" are pure BS propaganda.
The REALITY of the only two cities that have ever ACTUALLY been attacked with nuclear weapons is VERY different. Huge numbers of people survived the bombings, in fact MOST people in the cities survived. And we had US people on ground zero a few weeks after the bombs were dropped, walking around and recording stuff and taking measurements of radiation, etc.
The stories of "Zero survivors" and "everyone dies" are total fabrications. Yes, nuclear weapons are powerful. They are bad news and we want to do everything that we can to avoid some crazy SOB launching some of them.
But - if it (God forbid) happens, it will not be a horrific as most of the news stories and movies and such make it out to be. Still - VERY bad, but not "no survivors", not by a long shot.
Let's work on avoiding it, and the overblown hysteria isn't helpful.
