Twitter says it will no longer allow advertisers on its site who deny the scientific consensus on climate change, echoing a policy already in place at Google. “Ads shouldn’t detract from important conversations about the climate crisis,” the company said in a statement outlining its new policy Friday. There was no indication that the change would affect what users post on the social media site, which along with Facebook has been targeted by groups seeking to promote misleading claims about climate change. The announcement coinciding with Earth Day

Ok, so that means that over 50% of scientists are banned because there is NO scientific consensus on global warming (Mother Natures climate change)....

the first Earth Day was 52 years ago. Number the predictions made at that time (most were to occur within 2 decades) then multiply by 0 and the product will reveal the number which have been realized.

First of all, it isn't 'Climate Change.' It's (catastrophic, anthropogenic) Global Warming. Why else would they be attacking all things carbon? As far as that goes, reconstructions of temperatures for the last 12,000 years done with Greenland Ice cores by THE U.S. GOVERNMENT indicate that we are in the bottom 5% of temperatures experienced since the end of the last ice age. It got far warmer millennia ago than it is now and that happened without gas burning SUVs or coal fired electric plants. It's natural. \ So. Ban me.

It's a shame that the ignoramuses that occupy the political left, e.g. Al Gore, Anthony Fauci, John Kerry, Joe Biden and far too many more, don't appreciate the fact that in banning advertisements that call into question the fundamentalist faith that under girds climate change hysteria, they are the ones making war on science. Real, hard science is based on skepticism, not consensus. It is political science that seeks consensus because, generally, consensus translates into an absence of political dissent. Adolph Hitler sought consensus that Jews, Gypsies, homosexuals and those mentally or physically challenged should either be eliminated or subjected to Aryan rule. History, past and present, is rife with tyrants seeking to mold consensus in the process of increasing their own power and wealth. For those of you who still buy into the myth of man made climate change, I suggest you research all the dire predictions that led up to the first Earth Day in 1972. The Seventh Day Adventists are as good, possibly better, at predicting the future as the eco-terrorists that clothe themselves in the mantle of science. I applaud all those individuals, groups and corporations that have the wisdom and courage to fight FOR science.

Until the Ivy League climate models can history-match the last 20 ice ages (each of which was followed by an interglacial warming period), they literally are not worth the hard drive they're coded on. Seriously, the earth has been warming for the last 14,000 years (as proven by the vestigial glacial moraines that litter the northern USA, the lack of human remains in N.& S.America before about 20,000 years ago, and the paleo-Indian burials in Florida that are 100'+ below modern water tables). There is nothing in all of so-called climate 'science' that explains why the current warming trends are not just a continuation of that same warming trend.

There is not a consensus except on artfully phrased questions like do human beings drive climate change. Yeah, put it like that, everybody will agree. But ask if they are the biggest driver, if there are others, if they drive it much or just a little, then there is no consensus. I do think Twitter is run by people who dropped out of science before taking any.

Six people were killed, a man was critically wounded in a police-involved shooting and 31 others were shot across Chicago this weekend, marking the city’s most devastating toll so far this year as temperatures rose ahead of the typically violent summer months.Just last week, Chicago Police Supt. David Brown touted encouraging drops in homicides and shootings as the department pushes to tamp down the surging violent crime that has become a serious political liability for Mayor Lori Lightfoot. In January, just days after Chicago closed the books on its deadliest year in a quarter-century, Lightfoot declared 2022 a “make-or-break year” for doing just that.
