Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick (R) is urging parents to reject Disney over its embrace of radical sexual and gender politics, saying families should send Disney executives a message by refusing give the company their money.
In a re-election campaign e-mail sent this week, which was also posted to the campaign’s official site, Lt. Gov. Patrick even told Texans to sell their Disney stock. “Until they change their corporate philosophy, stop spending money with them,” he said. “Cut off the Disney Channel. Cancel your park trip or your cruise if one is planned. If you own Disney stock, sell it. Although I did not own many shares of individual Disney stock,

If Disney wants to get involved with Texas politics, Texas politics gets involved with Disney. Seems fair.

Probably 20 years ago, we took our kids to both Disney Lan and Disney World. We had a ton of fun. And there was not an ounce of any "woke" garbage to be seen. We even went to DW at Christmas time, and you saw the word "Christmas" all over the park.
But we stopped having anything to do with Disney about 15 years ago when we first heard of "gay days" at their parks. Why give a group that simply identifies themselves first and foremost by their deviant sexual desires a day to celebrate those deviant sexual desires in a park that was designed for families with children?!?!?!?
This is a sick world we are living in today!!!

Sold some of the stock last week but had to send certificates in for the rest. Hoping they cashed it out yesterday!
Disney is done! They can't walk this one back. Once the magic is gone, you can't get it back!

My wife and I last went to Disney Land in the early 2000s some time. We went to EPCOT, and were saddened by the ancient computers being shown off as "the latest thing" in a large exhibit, at least 15 years out of date. And then a lot of "high tech hands on exhibits" were broken, didn't do anything. And it had a tired, out dated feel to it....the "world of tomorrow" for 1972 or something.
The only two things in the entire visit that was pretty interesting was a really good 3D movie theater experience, with all the silly, but fun, things seeming to leap out of the screen to nearly hit you. That and a really amazing laminar flow pulsed jet fountain. We were enthralled with six inch long "slugs" of water, about 3/4" diameter, coming up from nozzles below a grating at ground level, and arcing up to about six feet, bending over, and making a beautiful ballistic arc and disappearing down the slot in another grate about 10 feet away....without a drop of water spilled. Normal water jets are turbulent flow, so the water jet breaks up, like every other jet of water you have EVER seen, into droplets, spreading out. This water flow was perfectly laminar, a very difficult techincal challenge to make a nozzle that will do that. And the short pulse of water, flew a graceful, perfectly aligned arc path as if it were some sort of a glass rod, except it BENT as it reached the top of the arc and gravity pulled it over, and then it straightened back out.....and vanished down the grating. Mesmerizing for me, my technical background made the graceful pulsed shots of water even more compelling because I knew WHY it was "impossible"......at least for any normal water nozzle. Somehow, someone had figured out how to make a perfectly laminar water jet.
The rest of the place pretty much stunk. The audio-animatronics Presidents....were OK, but frankly, 1950s robot tech, not really updated noticably in the intervening half century, looked dated and hokey to us. Disney hasn't been funding much improvement in that tech, clearly resting out Walt's laurels, new faces on the same old 1950s-60s robots under the skin.
Our other really favorite place was "River Country" a water feature ride, separate section of the park. They abandoned it a few years later, for unknown reasons. I saw some photos on the web of the eerie, rotting concrete and fiberglass abandoned rides as the tropical plants take back over. We might have gone back to enjoy the rapids and huge slide, etc....but they shut it down. Bleah. Catering to homosexuals has seemingly sapped all their innovation and interest in future things, or even normal entertainment stuff.
We came away from a large cash expenditure vowing to never bother again, and we haven't. Been down nearby many times since, never once tempted to 'try again'.

Laminar fountain video. The one at Disney pulsed on and off, so there were short "chunks" of water following a path like this continuous fountain. It looks like a weird glass rod.

The public has put a dent into Hollywood by refusing to go see their movies. They can do the same for Disney, though it will be much harder, as no one wants to tell their three year old that he/she cannot go see Mickey or Snow White. Be interesting to see how this plays out in the public.
