The Transportation Security Administration is spending more than $18.6 million of taxpayer money to update airport screening protocols and technology to be more inclusive of transgender, nonbinary and gender-nonconforming passengers. A large portion of the money is going to develop and deploy new gender-neutral body scanner technology throughout the nation’s airports. The TSA hopes the new technology will help reduce the pat-downs and other invasive screen procedures that are required when transgender individuals trigger body scanners “in a sensitive area.” “Over the coming months, TSA will move swiftly to implement more secure and efficient screening processes that are gender-neutral, as well as technological updates

Insanity, spreading more widely. There ARE NO SUCH a thing as "transgender", only the mentally ill pretending to be something that they are not.

Males who are pretending to be women won’t be found to have their original equipment.

I'm sorry but I don't see any indication that the TSA is also moving swiftly toward addressing the security needs of Native American non-binary midgets. Until they do, I will believe that they are discriminating and possibly could be charged with a hate crime.

I thought the scanners were to identify contraband, not look at genitals, or the lack thereof.

Are they going to develop a scanner that doesn't detect a penis or female breasts in case you identify as the other sex or X and should have neither a penis, vagina, or breasts as you are sexless? What about when you go to another country that does not buy into all of this Trans, Bi, Pan, Cis sexual identity BS and you have and X as gender? Will you be refused entry until you decide if you are male or female or will they be force to do a physical check to see what you have? Won't some countries make you an immediate target for harassment and persecution if you have the X designation due to their views on LGBTQ issues, sexuality, and religion.

Stupid is as stupid does.
With no God, one cannot even figure out that there are only 2 sexes.

I really don't understand this. I thought that scanners were looking for bombs, guns, knives, aka weapons. Why would what sex you are or what sex you say you are need special scanning?

So, invasive pat-downs haven't been offensive to normal people?

Something's made-up about this. There's no need for an airport scanner to differentiate between (or even among) the sexes unless someone's hauling around junk with non-human flesh densities. If they are non-human, they need to be detached and put on the conveyor belt.

Beware of crotch bombs. TSA is being 'trained' to ignore certain parts of the human anatomy. Don't want to hurt anyone's feelings.

Ever questioning. Is it a competitive bid for the scanners or has the Biden crime family made out once again?

What is a 'gender neutral' body scanner?? Does it have a lead plate over the crotch area so the TSA can't tell the sex? This whole queer sideshow has squeezed out into our society like a rapidly growing and destructive fungus..I'm glad I'm 80 and won't have to put up with this sh*! much longer....

I think its time to start leaving things in my pockets for a pat down, then self identify as a female. that should make the preflight more interesting.

That "female" seems to have a gun hidden in "her" crotch on the scan.......oh, wait, it's a guy, pretending to be a female with guy OEM crotch equipment.
Toss this lunatic out, we don't need crazy people on airplanes.

Just get rid of the scanners and the TSA. I will take my chances with the terrorists. If the government wants to help, let passengers arm themselves.

It will cost multiples of that and make us less safe (to the extent that TSA protects us at all), which is the real objective. That, and to underscore our national commitment to honoring the ever-falling lowest common denominator along our race to the bottom.
