President Joe Biden vastly overpromised Americans that they can expect savings of $500 a month by transitioning to renewable energy, which the White House corrected by saying the savings would actually come over a year. In a fumble during his speech on gas prices on Thursday, Biden touted rebate programs for consumers switching to green energy but incorrectly cast how much would be saved. 'If your home is powered by safer, cheaper, cleaner electricity like solar or heat pumps, you can save about $500 a month on average,' Biden said. The White House corrected Biden's remark in a transcript, making clear he meant to say the savings he predicted

Less than $50 a month. Then there's the new electric car payments, max out 3 credit cards to get the garage retro fitted for a charger, and now a monthly electric bill higher than Snoop Dog in Jamaica. But that $50 bucks a month ... sure is tempting.

I think libs think that you turn on a switch or plug something in and it automagically charges. Where do you think electricity comes from lib idiots? It isn't just in the air. Gosh these people are dumb.

You can save substantially more than $500 per month if you stop voting for liberals.

If green energy made economic sense you wouldn't have to tease people into it. It would expand on its own.
You know, like the US oil and gas industry did before you targeted it for elimination.

When we moved to TN we bought a home in a country Subdivision that did not offer Gas Heat. That was our first experience with a Heat Pump. We hated it it. It was like cold air blowing on us all winter long. We couldn't wait to get out of that house and back to one with GAS Heat! No thanks to Biden's GREEN energy. We will stick to our Gas Heat!

Heat pump? Ask anyone who owns one how they like it. Not us, thank goodness.

I currently enjoy what I consider renewable fossil fuels energy. We start to run out, the supply is renewed by pumping more. I don't need to retrofit my house, get a new car, or worry about enough sunshine or wind. The infrastructure to support it is already there. Yup, good old natural gas and oil is considered renewable (and dependable) to me.

"Renewable" is a hoax, like all the others. If it's coming from the government, it is a hoax.

Each day he reads his daily script, Biden is sounding more and more like a raving lunatic. Any bets on when The New York Times will first utter the words "25th amendment"?

It's NOT "bungling." It is INTENTIONAL GASLIGHTING. The media only presents Biden's--and his entire administration's--lies, and the later "corrections/walk-backs" wind up on page thirty-three, along with the articles on the latest news in the world of animal husbandry.

Ya know, they want us to go to renewable power, like windmills...I vote on putting ALL of them in Washington and with all the hot air coming out of there they should be able to power the entire U.S.....

Don't believe the $50 a month crap either. First, they have no idea because they never ask the "and then what?" question. Second, if they knew they'd never tell the truth.
Remember how they told you that government is more efficient at healthcare? Medicaid pays roughly 60% of cost so the private sector pays not only their share of 100% of cost they also pick up the other 40% even ignoring any profit. So the government claims its cheaper for them to handle healthcare?
Just wait until competition is removed from the energy sector.

Right now Natural Gas is $6 in the US and $36 in Germany. Soon, the German price may double. So, my gas bill last month of $120 would be $720 in Germany and may soon jump to over $1000.
Since Joe's plan is for the USA. So, getting off Natural Gas could easily mean a $500 a month saving.

Wow. $42 a month. Enough to buy two steaks until inflation makes it one steak.

Just think of the jobs Biden could have created if he had an FDR style jobs programs to build nuke plants based on population all across America.

Heat pumps!?! They are OK from South Georgia to perhaps Ohio. But in South Florida with only about 10 days per year where you would even consider turning on the heat the complexity and short life span of a heat pump is a waste of money. And when you waste money you waste energy because money is energy.
North of Ohio heat pumps are inefficient and you end up using electric emergency heat a good portion of the time. If your "emergency" heat is derived from gas or oil you are much better off.
Worse yet HVAC systems today only last about 15 years before you have to spend 8k$ to replace them. Whereas if you have a system installed before about 1980 it will likely last for the rest of your life.

Green energy is 100% or more expensive, and don't be surprised that you cannot rely on having it, when it is needed. Moving from an apartment with less sq ft to a house, will now increase utilities by 200-300%.
