Last month, a group of parents in Orlando, Florida, demanded “consequences” against sixth grade science teacher Robert Thollander. His crime? Thollander acknowledged his marriage at school.
“He married a man. This alone is not an issue. Sharing the details … with all his 6th grade students is the issue,” the parents wrote in a letter sent to their children’s school board, which was shared with NBC News. “It was not appropriate. Many of these students felt very uncomfortable with the conversations and shared this with their families.”
Had Thollander just “said he will be out for a few days because he was getting married, no problem,” the letter continued

They should feel fear, thinking they have the right to indoctrinate our children to perversion.

Good riddance to those scum bags. We need to abolish government schools and replace them with private schools that have to compete with each other for students. Imagine how good those schools would be.

Let's get a fund going to help pay moving expenses. You know how poorly teachers are paid.

If he was saying all of that in a company, he'd likely be facing sexual harassment charges, as anyone who is required to take such classes on regular basis as part of a publicly traded company knows - it's not just about actual sexual advances or comments.
Public entities need to start following the same requirements as many businesses, which will help them also reduce the number of lawsuits they receive each year.
Trust me, they have more age discrimination, sexual harassment, and other lawsuits with entire law teams to process them all. Look at nearly any major university, and they spend huge amounts on these lawsuits alone.
Talk about finding low-hanging fruit for reduction in expenses.

It's not appropriate for a teacher to put up Republican or Democrat or other political material in their classrooms. Putting up a queer flag is just as inappropriate. They're making their personal beliefs political.

There will be enough non circus freaks to fill in. Have trouble believing what has happened to the world I grew up in. When I was young any kind of homosexual activity was a felony everywhere in the country. Now it's celebrated as some kind of alternate lifestyle. Same for illegal drugs. How far can this country go?

No, you just can't groom kids in Florida.
Teaching, if you keep your propaganda to yourself, is fine. Reading, Writing, Arithmetic, History, Geography. They are all fine. You start any propaganda, you're through!!

Well, if you think that is the outcome of the law, you are too stupid to teach.

Hey! Nothing is keeping you from teaching except your perverted missionary zeal. Leave your crap out of the classroom and teach!

This is "fake news" propaganda from NBC. Shocking, right?
The man teaches 6th grade. His classroom is not affected by the law, contrary to the suggestion by NBC.
Apparently some parents wanted him fired because he married another man, but they failed, nor was the teacher disciplined. In other words, he had to deal with some angry parents.
That never happened to anybody I personal knew in almost thirty years of teaching! [end sarcasm]
As far as I'm concerned he could work through it, show some mettle, be a role model, etc. That's fine.
Or he can quit. That's OK, too.
NBC is trying to make this something different. What trash.

"Nicolette Solomon, 28, taught fourth grade in Miami-Dade County. From her first week on the job, Solomon said, “so many kids” throughout her elementary school — even those she did not teach directly — came out to her." So many elementary school kids came out to her? This is exactly why the law is needed. They were obviously introduced to sexuality starting in kindergarten. And, who but an attention seeking loon would wear a dress like that?

Sure you can teach in school, but NOT the garbage about LGBTQ. I'm sure you can find a school in CA if you feel you need to push your radical believes on the young.

How is it that LGBTQ teachers think they have every right to teach what they want to but then shut down Christian educators?

Of course they can teach. Just teach the subject and leave your personal sex life out of it. All teachers used to do this back in the day.

Can someone explain to me why who someone chooses to sleep with matters?
How does it translate that the most intimate details of one’s private life must be shared with one’s professional constituents?
Why must a grade school instructor’s personal life be aggressively and pointedly detailed to the kids in the class?
Even a direct question from a student doesn’t have to be answered. “That’s private,” is a perfectly serviceable answer.
This is about adult validation of a chosen lifestyle not about kids education.

WHY? Why is it even a subject that comes up with kids of such an early age? Is it because these LBQXYZ+ people cannot resist talking about their own sexuality? My memories are a bit old "foggie-ish", but I cannot recall any of my teachers in the first 7 years in school ever mentioning their spouses or boyfriends to the class. We were busy learning our abc's and 123's. Why would kids even be interested in such subjects about teachers who seem to be all at least over 50 years old [even when they may be only about 30 years old?
