The Sherlock Holmes question of the week is: Why did the New York Times finally admit that the Hunter Biden laptop was genuine? Here are five possible answers: 1) Roger Kimball suggests it’s a prelude to Joe Biden’s own people removing him from the Oval Office. The laptop clearly indicates that Biden is corrupt, as many said during the 2020 presidential campaign. That “fact” has to be established, and now it has been, albeit in paragraph 17 or 22 or 35 of a long article that many people will never read. A group of Democrat and Republican senators on April 7 introduced a bill that if passed would not allow President Joe Biden’s administration to end the Title 42 emergency border order unless the president declares an end to the COVID-19 national emergency declaration.
Sens. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.) and James Lankford (R-Okla.) are among the 11 senators behind the legislation.
“The Biden administration was wrong to set an end date for Title 42 without a comprehensive plan in place. It’s why today we are introducing bipartisan legislation requiring this administration to implement a plan before lifting Title 42 that protects the public health and safety of our border communities and migrants.
Special Counsel John Durham’s team on April 6 asked a federal judge to force Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign and two other parties to hand over documents they claim are protected by attorney-client privilege.
The campaign, the Democratic National Committee (DNC), and Fusion GPS appear to be withholding documents that aren’t actually protected by the privilege, Durham’s team said in the filing, entered in the case against ex-Clinton lawyer Michael Sussmann.
Of the withheld materials, almost all “appear to lack any connection to actual or expected litigation or the provision of legal advice,” prosecutors told U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper, an Obama appointee who is overseeing the case.
As the battle between Florida and Disney escalates following Gov. Ron DeSantis signing the “Parental Rights in Education” bill into law, one Sunshine State lawmaker says Disney “stepped in quicksand and made a drastic unforced error.”

The Senate voted to confirm Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court on Thursday.
Jackson was nominated by President Biden after Justice Stephen Breyer announced in February that he will retire by summer. Jackson will join Justices Elena Kagan and Sonia Sotomayor in the Court’s liberal minority.
