The Bronx woman who bravely tackled the creep who randomly punched her 4-year-old son in Times Square said her “mama bear” instincts took over as soon as she heard her boy wailing in pain. “I was angry. I sprung into action,” Rafaela Rivera, 42, told The Post on Saturday. “The mama bear in me came out. I did what any mama would do. I see my baby crying, it was like why you hit a 4-year-old?” In a dramatic move captured on surveillance video, Rivera immediately chased the fiend, grabbing him from behind and refusing to let go until police arrived.

The evil perp is probably already back on the street, thanks to the stupid, idiotic no bail laws. Thanks to democrats, 4 year olds now get punched on public streets.

What at cute town too - like Chicago. Such a glowing story of a city that re-elects marxists to let predators assault babies and the mother is a hero for doing the job of the emasculated cops at the hands of the marxist DA and NY legislature that closed Rikers and lets felons out on no-$ bail. Such a great town with homeless murdering multiple women. NYers that I remember are a past generation. Where are the neighborhood boys with baseball bats to police their turf? Oh they're in gangs stealing things, selling fentayl, etc....what did Trump call 3rd world countries/cities like this.....

What a lovely child. Seems all these assaults are on children or the elderly. When is the last time one of these cowards attacked a young man? I'd never insult a child, either.

Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene reported on the horrible living conditions the January 6th political prisoners are facing after visiting them Friday. Speaking to RSBN before former President Donald Trump’s Texas rally on Saturday, Greene criticized the DC jail for allegedly violating the prisoners’ right to due process and abusing their human rights. “I was in the DC jail yesterday…Their due process rights have been violated. They’re being held as political prisoners inside the DC jail. Their human rights are being abused,” Greene began.

Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Peter Thompson issued a ruling Thursday that approved three of Lake's four demands for inspecting random ballots from the county. The three types of ballots Thompson approved Lake's team to review included 50 random "ballot-on-demand" printed ballots that were cast on Election Day, 50 random early ballots cast from "six separate Maricopa County batches," and 50 random ballot-on-demand printed ballots that were marked as spoiled. Lake's request to inspect 50 random early ballots from ballot envelopes was denied due to state law, per the judge.

The Taliban this week conducted its first public flogging in a soccer stadium since the 1990s. The group of 14 were whipped in front of a crowd on Wednesday in Logar province. A Taliban statement proudly boasted that in attendance at the stadium to witness the punishment was a crowd of "scholars, authorities, and people."

Since the outset of the global monkeypox outbreak in May, public health and infectious disease experts have told the public that the virus is largely transmitting through skin-to-skin contact, in particular during sex between men. Now, however, an expanding cadre of experts has come to believe that sex between men itself — both anal as well as oral intercourse — is likely the main driver of global monkeypox transmission. The skin contact that comes with sex, these experts say, is probably much less of a risk factor.

Billionaire David Rubenstein’s philanthropic efforts trash the Founding Fathers, even though his own business has made a fortune from deals that have profited off the less fortunate. Since 2013, Rubenstein, 72, who co-founded the private equity giant the Carlyle Group, has given millions to entities that repair and upgrade historical monuments and landmarks like the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument as well as Monticello and Montpelier, the homes of US presidents Thomas Jefferson and James Madison. But some say the restoration at the presidential homes has recast the presidents as sinister racists while downplaying their accomplishments.

Six former Philadelphia Phillies players have died of brain cancer, and a doctor has said a potential link should be investigated. Former Phillies pitcher David West died of brain cancer this past week at the age of 57, renewing the question of whether the phenomenon of several former players who played for the team at Veterans Stadium dying of brain cancer was coincidental. West’s death from the disease followed catcher Darren Daulton’s in 2017, infielder John Vukovich’s passing in 2007, catcher Johnny Oates’ 2004 death and those of pitcher Tug McGraw in 2004 and pitcher Ken Brett in 2003.

Hollywood, specifically the film industry, is going through a legitimate, serious, and potentially fatal phase. No one likes the movies anymore. The key to a healthy industry—audience goodwill—is evaporating quickly. Sure, there have been some recent hits. Avatar: The Way of Water just became the second-highest worldwide grosser (not counting for inflation) in history. The last three or four Marvel movies have made money. But let’s not kid ourselves. Avatar 2, just like Avatar 1, has had no cultural impact whatsoever. I know of one person who saw it, and when asked his opinion, he replied with a shrug. My guess, and this is just a guess,

Oil companies have come under increasing legal scrutiny and face allegations of defrauding investors, racketeering, and a wave of other lawsuits. But a new paper argues there’s another way to hold big oil accountable for climate damage: trying companies for homicide. The striking and seemingly radical legal theory is laid out in a paper accepted for publication in the Harvard Environmental Law Review. In it, the authors argue fossil fuel companies “have not simply been lying to the public, they have been killing members of the public at an accelerating rate, and prosecutors should bring that crime to the public’s attention”.
