Former Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms joining

Former Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms is joining the ranks of CNN as a political commentator, she announced Monday. Bottoms, who was a guest on CNN and other cable news shows throughout the pandemic and 2020 election cycle, said she applied to work at the Atlanta-based network when she was a student at Florida A&M University. The former mayor, who didn’t run for a second term last year, studied broadcast journalism at FAMU.

Comments:

Never will forget the night that Antifa and BLM came to Atlanta and burned cars and buildings. And Mayor Rock Bottom just set there and watched and ordered the police to do nothing. She'll help CNN circle the drain.

Can't make it in the private sector, can't make it in the public sector. Only thing left to do is to join CNN. That being said, they deserve each other.

CNN, giving all the washed up has-beens a chance at redemption - with the decrease in viewers CNN is trying to be relevant - won't work, they are washed up and are ancient history in the "news" business.

This actually helps us. Once CNN gets all of the rejects of civilization on board we can block the channel and be assured we won't be accidentally exposed to idiocy. Joy Reid, Whoopie, Juan Williams, the lovebirds at MSDNC, please take note and get those applications in.

It seems to me that "Journalism" Schools have not taught journalism since around the time Dan Rather decided to make his mark as a Nixon antagonist. Woodward and Bernstein sealed that deal and if you want to see complete anti-journalism, just watch Carl Bernstein pandering to CNN and MSNBC with his inane anti-Trump diatribes. The deck's stacked and has been for many years. Maybe Joe Biden's coming inflation crisis will expose the damage the Left has wrought. But probably the media will point in every direction other than the Left's monetary and fiscal policies and the truth if ever revealed will probably come much too late for salvation.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki has reportedly said that Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy sometimes sounds like a "stupid son of a b****" because of questions the network gives him to ask. On January 24, President Joe Biden was caught on a hot mic calling Doocy "a stupid son of a b****" after the Fox News journalist asked the president if inflation would be a "political liability in the midterms."

LONDON (Reuters) - The Kremlin dismissed a remark by U.S. President Joe Biden on Saturday that Vladimir Putin "cannot remain in power," saying it was up to Russians to choose their own president. Asked about Biden's comment, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Reuters: "That's not for Biden to decide. The president of Russia is elected by Russians." A White House official said Biden, who was speaking in Warsaw, had not been calling for "regime change" in Russia but his point was that "Putin cannot be allowed to exercise power over his neighbors or the region".

Perdue's decision comes just days after Democrat Stacey Abrams announced her campaign for governor, her second effort, after she lost to Kemp in 2018. Perdue's website went live late Sunday night and encouraged supporters to "join our team to stop Stacey Abrams." In his announcement video on Monday, Perdue attacked Abrams and accused Kemp and Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger of dividing the GOP in Georgia.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is set on Tuesday to recommend fully vaccinated Americans wear masks indoors in at least some instances, as the more highly transmissible Delta variant of the coronavirus has led to a surge in infections, sources said. That would mark a reversal of the CDC's announcement in May that prompted millions of vaccinated Americans to shed their face coverings. The CDC will announce revised mask guidance but the specifics of when the agency will recommend fully vaccinated Americans wear masks indoors are not fully clear, the sources said.

As he has done on other occasions, Francis compared the current problem of migrants and refugees to the flight into Egypt of Joseph, Mary, and Jesus when King Herod was seeking to kill him.

New York Times columnist and – we’re constantly reminded – Nobel Laureate Paul Krugman says that inflation, which hit another new high this month, will soon abate. Why? Because, he wrote on Tuesday, “Lumber prices have plunged in recent weeks. Prices of industrial metals such as copper are coming down. Prices of used cars are still very high, but their surge has stalled and they may have peaked.” Oh, wait. That was from a column that Krugman wrote in June 2021. Russia has confirmed the flagship of the Black Sea Fleet has sunk after what Ukraine said was a missile attack by their forces. If the facts are as claimed, the sinking is the most significant warship loss in decades, and possibly since the Second World War. Russian state media has confirmed the guided-missile cruiser and erstwhile flagship of the Black Sea Fleet, the Moskva (Moscow) sunk on Thursday. The total loss of the ship comes after what Ukrainian state media claimed was a strike on the ship by two of their domestically produced  “Neptune” (Нептун) missiles on Wednesday. The Ukrainians said they’d caused major damage to the warship.

Fox News has parted company with Laura Logan, the journalist contends, for relaying viewers’ comments that Dr. Anthony Fauci does not represent science, as the Biden adviser has claimed, and instead represents Nazi doctor Josef Mengele. Logan, formerly with CBS News, had in mind the fallout from COVID, but a different context might be more appropriate. Josef Mengele earned a medical degree in 1938, the same year he joined the Nazis’ Waffen SS, where he volunteered for medical service. At Nazi concentration camps, Mengele would decide which arrivals would live or die.
