WASHINGTON (Reuters) -The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is set on Tuesday to recommend fully vaccinated Americans wear masks indoors in at least some instances, as the more highly transmissible Delta variant of the coronavirus has led to a surge in infections, sources said. That would mark a reversal of the CDC's announcement in May that prompted millions of vaccinated Americans to shed their face coverings. The CDC will announce revised mask guidance but the specifics of when the agency will recommend fully vaccinated Americans wear masks indoors are not fully clear, the sources said.

Comments:

Put em on, take em off. Etc. Why not an odd even mask wearing rule?

I’m not strongly pro or anti masks, but I’d say that CDC’s credibility is pretty shot right now.

If the vaccinated are at risk from the unvaccinated (which is a first in the history of vaccines), and if the so-called variant is so dangerous, then why don't the Republicans demand that the southern border to be closed as a public safety measure? Answer: because they're not fundraising at the moment.

Fauci and his Clowns Deserve Caca organization can chatter about masks all they like. Nobody is paying attention and there will be far fewer Karens out there this time around. I know that some of the "recommendations" came from lack of information but why make something mandatory when you don't have a clue about anything?

This is asinine. What is the point of getting vaccinated if they are still going to recommend ineffective masks (reference any of the videos where people demonstrate that all masks, even N95, leak exhalations around the edges) for people who are fully vaccinated? Also, no one is even mentioning the millions of people with acquired immunity because they actually had the infection. What will it take for the clueless "leaders" to understand that the first experiment in history of quarantining the healthy population was a spectacular failure?

Back in his earlier days, Josef Fauci wrote a paper where his official position was that most of the people that died during the Spanish Flu died of bacterial infections brought on by the excessive use of masks. I guess that once enough money flows your way, you will say anything to keep it flowing, though.

Deducing what the CDC has been saying by their random pronouncements and the hidden or buried data I conclude that the vaccine doesn't work especially considering that vaccinated people keep turning up positive. And that covid has been over diagnosed especially since the CDC has just admitted that the PRC testing will produce a positive for the common cold or the flu. I'm starting to think that a few decades from now it will be general knowledge among the few that haven't starved to death that covid was never a threat. It is now very clear that the claim that all the heterosexuals were going to die from AIDs was nonsense even though the very same people that are warning us so strongly about covid were the same that were screaming about heterosexual AIDs. (Authors that expressed doubt about heterosexual AIDs were censored.) Today in mainstream commercials for AIDs drugs they are only showing obviously male homosexuals. An action that just 2 decades ago would have gotten strong condemnation from the gay community and such commercials would have been censored. Trust the scientists. I have before and now I don't anymore.
