Six Takeaways From The Ongoing Ukraine Crisis

In this installment of their weekly Sunday Six conversation, PF Whalen and Parker Beauregard of The Blue State Conservative discuss six conclusions they can draw from the continuing crisis in Ukraine with Russia’s military buildup. #6: The Russia Hoax narrative that President Trump was somehow beholden to Putin due to some nefarious side deals has been thoroughly destroyed. PF: The left’s storyline on Trump and Russia never held water, which is why so many of us were frustrated by the whole affair. From the beginning, there was zero evidence to support the Russia Hoax, despite claims by Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and the hopes and wishes of the mainstream media.

Just the latest Brandon disaster, and one that is going to get a lot worse.

The Brandon Disaster will get worse, sure. But the Ukraine Crisis probably ended a few days ago when NATO dismissed Putin's demands. The immediate Russian statements afterwards sounded distinctly whiny. And Putin has seemingly delegated public statements about this to underlings. He is avoiding the camera. But our government and media do not want to "see" this.

President Biden said Monday that his administration is committed to improving the border crisis by trying to "figure out" why migrants are leaving their home countries for the U.S. in the first place. "We’re working a lot with neighboring countries. A lot to do," Biden said during a meeting with Vice President Kamala Harris and the National Governors Association (NGA) at the White House. "I think one of the fundamental things we've got to do in addition to some of the changes we'll make, which we won’t get into it today, is that if we figure out why they're leaving in the first place," the president continued.

A Joe Biden voter explained why he became "disgusted" with the president's administration and raised concerns about the direction the Democratic Party is headed. "A year in and I'm disgusted with them both. I'm disgusted with [Vice President] Kamala Harris and Joe Biden," Isaiah Carter, a New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) worker and member of the Democratic Party, told Fox News. Carter listed critical race theory and the Afghanistan withdrawal as key issues he has with Biden. He also faulted the president's COVID-19 policies and his propagating of gender ideology issues, especially among school-age children, by the administration. Carter has voted Democrat in the past four presidential elections

Rolling Stone, which first reported on Young’s letter, reported that the post has since been deleted. Young reportedly wrote in the letter that he wants Spotify to "know immediately TODAY that I want all my music off their platform." "They can have [Joe] Rogan or Young," he reportedly posted. In this installment of our weekly Sunday Six conversation, PF Whalen and Parker Beauregard of The Blue State Conservative name six companies that continue to mandate COVID vaccines for employees despite the Supreme Court ruling on January 13th which put a commonsensical ending to the Biden Administration’s ridiculous policy. #6: United Airlines Parker: You and I each write about a major airline that is mandating the jab for its employees. Indeed, many adopted some of the earliest requirements of any large industry. Despite the Supreme Court ruling, United Airlines insists on maintaining its vaccine mandate policy because, as its CEO said last week, it saves lives.

The State Department has ordered families of U.S. Embassy personnel in Ukraine to begin evacuating the country as soon as Monday, U.S. officials tell Fox News. Next week, the State Department is also expected to encourage Americans to begin leaving Ukraine by commercial flights, "while those are still available," one official said. Moscow has massed tens of thousands of troops at the border with Ukraine, leading to fears of an invasion. Late Friday night, the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine announced the first shipment of ammunition had arrived as directed by President Biden. U.S. officials say small arms ammunition constitute the bulk of the 200,000

"It is important that NCAA member schools, conferences and college athletes compete in an inclusive, fair, safe and respectful environment and can move forward with a clear understanding of the new policy," DeGioia added. Each particular sport’s national governing body will be responsible for determining transgender athlete participation. If a sport does not have a national governing body, the international federation policy will be enacted, Sports Illustrated reported.

Just days ago, the Supreme Court issued two rulings that have the internet chattering about how the Court killed the administration’s vaccine mandate. While I don’t want to throw cold water on the celebration, I have to say I don’t read things that way. Yes, one of the rulings killed the attempt to use OSHA to force businesses to require vaccination of their employees, that is the only bright spot I see. Rather than a decisive blow for freedom, it looks more like a fairly minor victory in a skirmish with the battle still to be won or lost.  CORRECTION*

MSNBC's Al Sharpton said President Biden's emotionally charged address Tuesday didn't seem like one intended to win support for sweeping Democratic election legislation, calling it a "you're going to hell" speech. Sharpton, a liberal activist in addition to his weekend hosting duties on MSNBC, was on hand for Biden's Atlanta address, where the president framed the debate over Democratic election overhauls in stark terms: Either you were with reviled figures like segregationist Gov. George Wallace and Confederate President Jefferson Davis, or on the side of civil rights leaders Martin Luther King Jr., and the late John Lewis, whom one of the proposed Democratic voting bills is named after.

The CDC COVID-19 record card you get with your vaccine is too large to fit in your wallet, yet small enough to be easily misplaced. The US Treasury said on Friday it is considering alternatives to facial-recognition technology to verify identities for online taxpayer accounts after some lawmakers raised privacy concerns. The $86 million partnership between the Internal Revenue Service and private contractor ID.me, which was announced in November, would be one of the biggest expansions of facial recognition software made by the US government. The measure has been met with criticism from lawmakers, who argue that the software is intrusive and inaccurate. Representative Ted Lieu, a California Democrat, called the move a 'very, very bad idea, ' adding that facial recognition is less accurate with dark skin tones.
