Jeff Bezos has always told his staff to “start with the customer and work backward.” That could now change in a dispute between Amazon-owned Whole Foods and both Black Lives Matter and the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). NLRB lawyers are arguing that Whole Foods must allow workers to wear “Black Lives Matter” masks at work,(snip) The company is arguing that such a rule would constitute a violation of its own free speech rights.
Whole Foods is fighting for the right to maintain a workplace free of political slogans or demonstrations. (snip)
The problem is that there are speech interests on both sides.

Let’s see, workers have to take the Covid shots ( until today) with no choice but can choose whether or not to wear political speech on clothing.

NLRB wants to ok political messages?
They're going to cry and start filing charges when the Trump / MAGA masks come out.

The NLRB is welcome to establish whatever dress code it likes, in any company that it owns and operates.

If they allow BLM masks, then they have to allow Confederate battle flag masks, MAGA masks, Trump 2024 masks, and Let's Go Brandon masks.
The lie-berals had better watch what kind of Pandora's Box they are opening!!!!!

SALady, (#6), My thought EXACTLY!
If I start seeing 'BLM' masks, I'm going to GET a Confederate Battle Flag mask and keep it with me, so I can put it on when needed just to prove the point!

Free Speech? Not when you are on a job. You represent the employer, and the employer has the right to set the rules, including appearance and "speech". Bezos has deep pockets...this will go to the Supreme Court if angels provide the funding.

Let them wear the t-shirts.
Issue them a company uniform shirt that employees must wear while on duty. (If a buttoned shirt, require that it be worn properly buttoned.)
I knew a soldier that wore a t-shirt that said, "Second Place Winner, Southeast Asian War Games" under his uniform shirt.

If black lives matter, why is it that Whole Foods always seem to be located as far away from predominantly black neighborhoods as possible in cities?

Should I run into a Black Lives Matter mask on an employee of Whole Foods, it might be my last trip to that particular grocery store. We have several other quite nice, chi-chi, grocery stores. I don't need Whole Foods. Prior to the supply chain debacle, and recent shortages, our Kroger stores were giving a Whole Foods a run for the money.
