The past couple of weeks showed it was beneficial that we were able to watch the Rittenhouse trial for ourselves.
Make no mistake, there has been no shortage of imbalanced visuals and cerebrally-challenged commentary surrounding the case over the past weeks that is the Kyle Rittenhouse trial. From a prosecution team that had dreams of a post-verdict TV career to a judge who was very comfortable in his robe or the defendant who became social media fodder after breaking down on the stand and a lawyer whose face-palm became a meme after his witness unraveled their case with one answer

It's not important that we have cameras so we have a compelling reason to see the action first hand. It is important that we have cameras in the courtroom so we know how bad the media is lying to us.

#1,You are so right. The media have become an existential threat to our Republic. They are destroyers whose lies, obfuscation and omission of truth, facts and data are tearing this country apart. I cannot believe the toxic rhetoric that comes out of the mouths of these leftists. They are out of control and I can’t see anyone on the left trying to dial down the rancid hateful comments they are spewing each day. It is highly improper and extremely dangerous. The program directors and bookers should be fired for inciting violence by allowing these unhinged racists to foment hate. The democrat leadership should be shamed for ginning up the already unhinged.
Had we had reasonable programming this trial could have been a learning experience for all of us. However, the media, like every decision they make, decided to use it as a weapon against conservatives who would dare to believe in our God given right of self-defense. The kind of irresponsible reporting and commentary we have been subjected to is appalling. Some would say that we should not stir the pot of division by confronting the outrageous statements made by the left, but we cannot ignore this, we must stand up for truth now more than ever. Appeasement or trying to get along with the clearly dangerous and hate filled left is no longer an option. I thank God that the jurors in this case had the courage to do the right thing in the face of possible personal persecution. That took an enormous amount of courage. Had the cameras not been there to capture the truth, the media would have continued to lie to us.
People fret over the divide in this country because it is so disturbing, but the left will not stop. Intimidation and lies are their weapons of choice. We cannot look away for the sake of appeasement. Now is the time we dig deep and find the courage to stand and say, no more. If we do not, our children and grandchildren will live forever in submission to these violent, hateful, intimidating dregs of society. Exposure means death to their heinous manipulations and lies. If the response to this trial by democrats does not prove to our Republican leadership that we are in a Cold War that is quickly heating up, what will?

IF there had been no cameras in this court room, even some sane people might think that Kyle got away with murder.

If the jury had to rely on the word of the Antifa filth who would have been the only witnesses, Kyle would have been found guilty and would be in jail today.

We need as much transparency as possible in every aspect of government. We have C-SPAN for Congress, our legislative branch, and we need this type of access in the judicial branch. If only we could take a peak inside the White House. That might be scary.

The prosecutor who had a black mustache was straight from Central Casting for evil lawyers. The very embodiment. He should go back to the theater. Had he not been trying to bury Mr. Rittenhouse, he'd have been comical. Can't you just hear a prosecutor going after Hillary like that (in your dreams)?

I'm so happy for this poor kid...he was put up on the hanging tree by the media and lefties...and thanks to the judge and 12 courageous jurors the truth won...now he needs to get a dynamite lawyer and sue the pants off the fake news...just like that kid at the Supreme Court when a leftie drummer got in his face and the fake news ran with their narrative...

It speaks to the unreliable and agenda-driven "reporting" of events in our traditional media. We can watch a day of the trial, then watch a TV report or read a story about it and think "did we watch the same thing?" The deliberate misreporting of the news, also called "lying," has been on full display, and it is disturbing.

@#1 - We also need camera on the Supreme Court. Who are they that we shouldn't be allowed to witness their daily activities on our behalf...

I am sick of the cities that allowed all of this violence, destruction, looting, burning, killing etc. in the summer of 2020. People were already having to deal with covid and then throw all of this on top of it. I would be suing the city if my business suffered. . . .

How about cameras in the upcoming Ghislaine Maxwell trial? That would jettison a lot of the media’s bogus Thunder.
