Amazon tycoon Jeff Bezos said going to space made him realise 'how thin the globe's atmosphere is' and 'the private sector must also play its part to reduce carbon emissions' during a lecture to the world's leaders at COP26 today. The billionaire has been criticised by Prince William among others for the amount of fossil fuel that space exploration consumes—and arrived at the UN climate change summit in his £48m private jet, fresh from celebrating Microsoft founder Bill Gates' 66th birthday on a £2million-a-week superyacht off the coast of Turkey.(Snip)Mr Bezos—who regularly lectures the world on climate change—arrived in Glasgow fresh from celebrating Microsoft

Bezos will continue his jaunts in the fancy jet while he expects you and I to shiver in our darkened One bedroom house we share with 6 illegals, our 2 kids and a dog while eating nothing but eating tofu.

Hey stupid Daily Mail UK, Elon Musk = Electric cars. Why no mention of John "Fing" Kerry, Nancy pelousi, Joe Biden, Princess Andrew, etc., etc., and their Giant jets?

The Dude just wanted to get up in front of his buddies and brag about going to space. Then he had to patronize them with their own jargon.

What a revelation!! I've been hearing about how thin earth's atmosphere is and so on from real astronauts since before Bezos was born.
And since when is Bezos a "Climate scientist"?

Nuclear is the only feasible, reliable non-emitting alternative that doesn't ruin vast areas of the planet. Do we see Bezos, Gates or any wokees pushing for it?
Speaking of wokees - in the name of equity, shouldn't everybody have their own private jet, or at least all minorities and alternative genders?

That reporter needs to brush up his maths.. According to the article, it emits 21.095 pounds (!!) of co2 per gallon and gets 10.75 mpg yet only emitted 215 pounds of co2 in a 2000 mile trip.

And your callous and cynical consumption of the tremendous amount of non-renewable resources that allowed you to go into space made the rest of us realize what an incredible hypocrite you are, Mr Bezos.

So, he pokes holes in the ozone layer (btw, the maidenhead of climate virginal and moral authority) and proves himself to be a full-fledged Hypocrat.

It is a certainty, in a world driven by 'Climate Change', Jeff Bezos will be given preferential treatment. He will be found 'worthy'. So will anyone working for him.

I'll agree to do what he suggests once I hear that he has sold or at least grounded his jets and Mac mansions. He and the Obama's and John Kerry and the Clintons and the Biden's do not walk the talk. They are just a bunch of elite hypocrites full of hubris! I have no respect for anything they say or do.

From the way these fools and the fools in the media talk, they never paid attention in biology class. Plants love carbon dioxide and produce oxygen in return. They have even been handling the amount of CO2 put out by volcanos, which far exceeds what humans produce.
Or they know that very well, and this whole kabuki theater is to make them richer as well as give them more power over and control of the gullible rubes who buy into their nonsense.

With his own fleet of delivery trucks on hand to help contain his own shipping costs, Jeff Bezos says companies should pay higher shipping prices relative to his own. Not to enhance his competitive advantage, mind you, but to preserve the earth for future generations. Truly a heart of green gold on this one.
