HOUSTON — Here they go again, on their own.The Houston Astros, their lone championship tarnished by a historic sign-stealing scandal, will return to the World Series after their 5-0 blanking of the Red Sox on Friday night in American League Championship Series Game 6 at Minute Maid Park. With a 4-2 series victory, the ’Stros secured their third AL pennant in five years and will take on either the Braves or the Dodgers — beginning in Houston if it’s the former and in Los Angeles if it’s the latter — in the Fall Classic, beginning Tuesday night.Yordan Alvarez and Luis Garcia, both Houston minor leaguers in 2017,

#1 -- Because the former worst commissioner in baseball history, Bud Selig, wanted his Milwaukee Brewers in the National League (purely for $), so he had to force a National League team into the American League. P.S. Amazingly, the current Commissioner of Baseball is even worse than Selig. No easy feat.

Much like the "Outlaw" Oakland Raiders many years ago, the Astros gain strength from being hated and feared. Also like Marxocrats.

5-0 is hardly a "rout" now if it were 15-0 or 20-0 that would have been a "rout". 5-0 is a close game in anyone's vocabulary. if the Sox had been on their game they could have gotten 5 runs and tied the ball game but if the score was double digits, no chance, take a shower, boys. never have been a Red Sox fan and never will be. lived my whole life in Boston and the suburbs of Boston

I was a season ticket holder back in the Rainbow Days..still have hats and jerseys. "Nolan Ryan was THE MAN" "Ryan pitched hitless ball the rest of the way."... Legend One of the Rangers young co-owners was sitting in a box seat next to the Rangers dugout when the brawl started. ""I thought about it, but then I saw Bo coming out and decided to stay where I was," said George W. Moved to the Lake Erie shore, no way I'm cheering either Cleveland or Detroit....though the MudHens are "popular" here.I only go to a game if a woman I am dating has a kid that wants to go.I don't even know ANY current players name. Evil is a very strong word, when used properly. Merriam-Webster defines it many ways, the most relevant to what I’m talking about being “morally reprehensible” and “arising from actual or imputed bad character or conduct.” That is the modern left, the “progressive movement,” the “Democratic” Party. And to fight evil, to stop it, is the most important thing anyone can do.What justifies the use of “evil” as a descriptor? It’s a dangerous word to use, one that has been abused throughout history to demonize innocent people as well as condemn the guilty. But there is no other word for what these people are doing, both in tactic and objective.

Sports writers, MLB staffers and the commissioner of baseball, in particular, must still be clutching their pearls. Last night, 41,000 unmasked Braves fans screamed their un-masked and un-mandated lungs out, all while tomahawk-chopping their Atlanta Braves to victory. Atlanta was denied this year’s All Star Game because Commissioner Manfred caved to craven, political actors. Baseball, he said, can’t have a featured event in Georgia after it passed a voter ID law. Baseball moved the event to Colorado. Colorado already had similar voter law but no matter; its all about optics, not facts. In July, Texas Democrats slinked away to avoid a quorum on a Texas voter law.
