HOUSTON — Here they go again, on their own.The Houston Astros, their lone championship tarnished by a historic sign-stealing scandal, will return to the World Series after their 5-0 blanking of the Red Sox on Friday night in American League Championship Series Game 6 at Minute Maid Park. With a 4-2 series victory, the ’Stros secured their third AL pennant in five years and will take on either the Braves or the Dodgers — beginning in Houston if it’s the former and in Los Angeles if it’s the latter — in the Fall Classic, beginning Tuesday night.Yordan Alvarez and Luis Garcia, both Houston minor leaguers in 2017,

Used to follow baseball but haven't kept up. The Houston Astros used to be in the National League. Now they are in the American. Why?

#1 -- Because the former worst commissioner in baseball history, Bud Selig, wanted his Milwaukee Brewers in the National League (purely for $), so he had to force a National League team into the American League.
P.S. Amazingly, the current Commissioner of Baseball is even worse than Selig. No easy feat.

Much like the "Outlaw" Oakland Raiders many years ago, the Astros gain strength from being hated and feared.
Also like Marxocrats.

I'm a 100% Tampa Bay Rays fan and I've got to admit I was glad to see the Astros beat Boston (who knocked the Rays out of the playoffs.) Yeah, I know, it was the Rays that the Astros were stealing signs from, but adios Red Sux.

Even before pro sports went woke I didn’t care about Baseball. Guess what I still don’t care. Same thing with the start of the NBA season and the upcoming Super Bowl.

Like #1, I was a big MLB fan. It's been years since I listened on radio to the playoffs or the World Series. That's what I get for not watching any network news since Clinton's first term. Have I missed much? ... /s

MLB really, really hopes the Dodgers come back and win. Thought of a Braves vs. Astros World Series is a nightmare to their bottom line $$$

Is the major league baseball season still dragging on?
Come on, man. you don't have to put on a silly baseball uniform to be able to chew tobacco and scratch yourself.

5-0 is hardly a "rout" now if it were 15-0 or 20-0 that would have been a "rout". 5-0 is a close game in anyone's vocabulary. if the Sox had been on their game they could have gotten 5 runs and tied the ball game but if the score was double digits, no chance, take a shower, boys. never have been a Red Sox fan and never will be. lived my whole life in Boston and the suburbs of Boston

Sorry, I'll be sitting on the floor sorting out socks that day. You can't let that job get ahead of you or you end up with a bunch of orphans.

Used to follow/watch major league sports, in person and on the tube. Had a long-term, close personal relationship with someone employed by MLB. One by one, the relationship between major league basketball, football, baseball and myself, has been on a gradual decline, from weird and not entertaining to a dysfunctional relationship to disgust. Their collective public allegiance to the marxist left was the final nail in the coffin for me. The maskless students at college football games, loudly and joyfully chanting FJB breathed life into my dormant interest in sports.

I was a season ticket holder back in the Rainbow Days..still have hats and jerseys. "Nolan Ryan was THE MAN"

"Ryan pitched hitless ball the rest of the way."... Legend
One of the Rangers young co-owners was sitting in a box seat next to the Rangers dugout when the brawl started. ""I thought about it, but then I saw Bo coming out and decided to stay where I was," said George W. Bush.

Moved to SF, went to a few Giants Games...The '94-'95 work stoppages/lockouts made me leave the game, stopped attending, the "Woke" stuff recently meant I no longer even check scores. Moved to the Lake Erie shore, no way I'm cheering either Cleveland or Detroit....though the MudHens are "popular" here.I only go to a game if a woman I am dating has a kid that wants to go.I don't even know ANY current players name.
Still...for Nostalgia sake, "Let's go Astros!"
