Liberal Justice Elena Kagan clashed with her conservative colleague Brett Kavanaugh during a Supreme Court hearing over the Boston Bomber on Wednesday as they heard arguments about whether an appeals court was justified in overturning Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's death sentence. It was a rare breach of protocol as liberal and conservative wings clashed over the punishment for Tsarnaev's role in the 2013 attack that killed three people. The court's conservative majority appeared sympathetic toward the Justice Department's challenge to a 2020 lower court ruling that upheld his conviction but overturned his death sentence.

It doesn't matter if he was part of the earlier crime or not (which happened exactly 10 years after 9/11/01). He willingly participated in the Boston bombing. He ran over his brother Tamerlane with the car to silence him. It's time to fry.

I don’t give a hoot if they clashed. They should clash once in a while. The lockstep is not a good look for the court. That said, did I read this wrong? Maybe it’s just the Mail’s cut and paste again, but it was darned hard to figure out who thinks he deserves execution. Maybe I’m just tired?

Despite the economy being in tatters because of supply chain issues, rampant inflation, surging gas prices and a poor labor force participation rate, President Joe Biden keeps acting as if the economy is performing just fine — better even, he claims, than the demonstrably superior economy of former President Donald Trump. His recent claims about his allegedly booming economy have grown so fantastical that even CNN is now being forced to fact-check him.In a tweet posted late Thursday morning, the president touted the creation of five million jobs since January as a great success over his predecessor.“We’ve created nearly five million jobs since I took office in January.

A feckless Team Biden has set America up for a new round of 1970s-style stagflation. The similarities between then and now are eerie.Seventies stagflation resulted from profligate fiscal policy, politicized monetary policy and food and energy shocks. President Lyndon Johnson’s guns-and-butter decision to simultaneously finance both the Vietnam War and his Great Society programs triggered a wave of demand-pull inflation. After President Richard Nixon appointed Arthur Burns as Federal Reserve chair, Burns cranked up the Fed printing press in support of Nixon’s re-election efforts.

During the 2020 election, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg spent hundreds of millions of dollars to turn out likely Democratic voters. But this wasn’t traditional political spending. He funded a targeted, private takeover of government election operations by nominally nonpartisan — but demonstrably ideological — nonprofit organizations.Analysis conducted by our team demonstrates this money significantly increased Joe Biden’s vote margin in key swing states. In places like Georgia, when Biden won by 12,000 votes, and Arizona, where he won by 10,000, the spending likely put him over the top.
