Lt. Colonel Stuart Scheller Jr. is being released from military brig today after winning a landslide of public support for his condemnation of the withdrawal from Afghanistan. Scheller Jr. was jailed last Monday at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina for repeatedly criticizing the military's chaotic withdrawal from Kabul. He was three days from retirement when he was stripped of his post and thrown in the grim confinement quarters to await military trial for contempt.

I am not as interested in Scheller since he felt a need to separate himself from President Trump. Sounds as though Scheller plans to run for something.

Three days from retirement.
Interesting new fact.

I'm guessing that dissing FPDJT was part of his release deal. Sort of like a perverted political plea bargain.

Okay patriots, this victory of Scheller’s release clearly demonstrates to me that if enough of we the people start fighting unjust imprisonments like this, WE can start turning some things around. I know from just my Congresscritter’s office, we refused to let him alone. Ten of us were calling nearly every day. So, we would say on voicemail or to his office - you ARE on the House Armed Forces Committee? Great we expect you to make your voice known to put action to all those campaign promises of devotion to our troops, etc. We took about five in House and Senate who profess conservative values and we kept at it. I know we were not the only ones either.
I know his words hurt about President Trump.
I do not regret my donation. He now has over 2 million dollars and if it turns out he was not just having a bad day & continues to say those things, then that will be another matter.

Well, he's out. My guess is the public outrage over his jailing had something to do with it, and his Trump comment was a concession to appease the woke military brass.

This whole thing leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I am of the opinion that a chain of military command is the prime factor in a successful military organization. A Twitter tirade ain't how you handle things you disagree with for an active duty Lt Col. You feel that strongly, resign first. Then start your book tour. I for one am keeping my powder dry on this episode until more is revealed. And my gut tells me much more will be revealed.

Unless while he was in the brig he formed a team to do some Marine stuff after he got out, I'm over it.

He broke protocol and he was rightfully charged. Life is not fair and sometimes rules can go against your principles. Quit first and say your piece! The 13 dead patriots, would still be alive if only they broke protocol like Scheller and accepted the consequences. However, they won't be treated like Scheller and walk away with 2 million.

I agree with #s 7&9
Military good Order and Discipline is essential. He should have resigned his commission prior to publicly demanding anything of his superiors.
And, if true he was that close to retirement, it is an indication of lack of judgment and he shouldn't have been in command of anything

Further down in the article, it says three years, not days.

How utterly disappointing to this veteran that he was the ONLY one
That’s pitiful
A pitiful statement about our military
We cannot surrender to these Marxists!!
