GOP Having a Great Time Making Democrats
Squirm Over Debt Limit

Original Article

Republicans in Congress have had so little fun since Joe Biden and the Democrats swept into office. Being out of power, they can’t oppress women, blacks, and other minorities like they used to. They can pick on Mexicans and other foreigners who show up at the border, but that gets old real quick. So, can we really blame Republicans for getting enjoyment out of watching Democrats impale themselves on the horns of their debt limit dilemma? The debt limit must be raised. But Democrats don’t want to walk the plank on raising it alone. They need Republicans to hold their hands while they go into the water.

I don't agree with the articles' premise that the debt limit must be raised. The government is not working because of the plandemic, so why not cut back. We hear that the post office will slow down delivery to save money, but no real, practical saving solutions. We hear that SS and Veterans checks may be held up, but not welfare or the billions spent on illegals. I haven't heard if the muti-millionaires in congress were going to miss any paydays, either. Apparently, the only way the government can save money is to short the people that contributed or earned their checks, not the useless non-essential donothings.

I keep coming back to the fact that there’s no apparent strategic logic behind the GOP blocking a debt-ceiling hike. They’re not holding out in hopes that Democrats will make some concession in exchange for their votes. Republicans aren’t demanding anything, McConnell has said repeatedly. They’re not pretending that it’d be no big deal if the U.S. defaulted on its debt either. It’d be cataclysmic, McConnell acknowledges. The debt ceiling simply must be raised, he says. They’re not refusing to raise the ceiling because doing so would block Democrats from passing their reconciliation mega-bill. The debt ceiling applies to spending that’s already been incurred,

During an interview with France’s BFMTV released on Monday, Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry stated that President Joe Biden “literally had not been aware of what had transpired” with the submarine deal between the U.S. and Australia. Kerry stated, “President Biden asked me about it, and I told him and expressed –.” Interviewer Ulysse Gosset then cut in to ask, “You told Joe Biden that it was not the right –?” Kerry cut in to respond, “He asked me. He said, what’s the situation? And I explained exactly. He was — he had not been aware of that. He literally had not been aware of what had transpired.

A poll from Quinnipiac University released Tuesday showed that a generic Republican on the ballot is favored to take back the House of Representatives in the midterm elections next year. Forty-seven percent of the registered voters said they would rather see the Republican Party win control of the House, while only 44 percent of the registered voters said they would want the Democrats. There were also nine percent who did not give an opinion. However, in September, the results were almost the opposite; 43 percent of registered voters said the Republican Party, while 47 percent said the Democrat party. There were also 11 percent who did not give an opinion.

ust last month, numbers showed that Democrats were losing any kind of foothold they had over Florida as its registration numbers continued to shrink by leaps and bounds. It was one of the few remaining glimmers of hope in the state of DeSantis, and now they’re watching helplessly as it shrinks to nothing. The once purple battleground state of Florida is becoming a very deep red as Democrats lead in registration by only 24,000 voters. But the news is even worse. It seems other battleground states are seeing more red creep in than blue as registration numbers tank around the country. According to The Hill, swing states are noticing a trend

Anyone who still doubts that “moderate” Merrick Garland’s Justice Department is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the far left should check out the news that Garland has threatened to investigate and prosecute parents who vigorously protest against school boards and teachers intent on indoctrinating school children in the racist, anti-American teachings of Critical Race Theory. Garland did so through this memorandum. Garland claims that free-speech principles must yield when they represent “efforts to intimidate individuals based on their views.” Andy McCarthy notes an implicit exception if the individuals happen to be Sen. Sinema or Sen. Manchin. The implicit exception is broader.

A noteworthy leftover from yesterday. To give you a sense of how eager Democrats are to expand access to abortion, a few months ago House Dems voted unanimously in favor of a Medicaid bill that would cover the cost of the procedure for the first time in 45 years. The party has been radicalized on this issue and they’re willing to use some of their power to prove it. Unfortunately for them, the potential 50th vote in the Senate for the reconciliation deal on which Biden’s entire domestic agenda depends happens to be pro-life Joe Manchin. Will you force House Democrats to pass a version of the Hyde Amendment

The Biden Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) issued a final rule Monday that reverses the Trump administration’s policy of prohibiting taxpayer funds to family planning clinics that refer clients for abortion. “This rule is a step forward for family planning care as it aims to strengthen and restore our nation’s Title X program,” said HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra, a longstanding ally of Planned Parenthood. He added: Our nation’s family planning clinics play a critical role in delivering health care, and today more than ever, we are making clear that access to quality family planning care includes accurate information and referrals—based on a patient’s needs and direction.

Monday was day one of the new session of the Supreme Court and the liberal media were absolutely terrified by what ruling could come from the conservative majority when it came to the right to life and Second Amendment rights. A notable example from Friday of a mainstream non-Fox news anchor expressing some polite skepticism about vaccine efficacy. I understand that the vaccines work to prevent hospitalization and death and that’s amazing, says Sara Eisen, but the impression given by public-health experts is that they largely prevent infections too, and, well, do they? Quote: “Are you too casual about the limitations of the vaccine? Because it does feel to me that these breakthroughs are happening, they’re happening regularly, and we haven’t really seen the government pay that much attention to them or warn about them too much.”

Radical lunatics may be verbally attacking Kyrsten Sinema in public, from bathrooms to airliners, but as predicted, she and Joe Manchin are getting the last laugh. Today, Biden told House progressives that the contested spending package needs to be as low as $1.9 trillion.

WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden on Monday urged Republican senators to “get out of the way” and let Democrats suspend the nation’s debt limit, hoping to keep the U.S. government from bumping dangerously close to a credit default as Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell refuses to lend his party’s help. Biden’s criticism came with Congress facing an Oct 18 deadline to allow for more borrowing to keep the government operating after having accrued a total public debt of $28.4 trillion. The House has passed a measure to suspend the debt limit, but McConnell is forcing Senate Democrats into a cumbersome
