Two FBI agents briefly visited the North Port, Fla. home of Brian Laundrie on Sunday morning and asked his parents for some of their son's personal items to help with "DNA matching," according to the family's lawyer.
(snip)
The agents could be seen walking inside the screened-in front porch with a clipboard and leaving with a brown paper bag around 11:00 a.m.
The FBI's visit on Sunday comes almost one week after roughly 20 agents swarmed the family's home and spent about six hours inside. A white van and multiple unmarked vehicles were loaded up with various boxes and suitcases before the agents departed in the afternoon.

We've all been shaking our heads and wondering "Why, with all of the earth-shaking and horrible things that are going on, including children being blown away almost daily in Chicago and elsewhere, has so much attention been focused on Gabby?"

Hopefully this means they may have found a body, or maybe parts of it if an gator got him.

The story is reminiscent of the Scott Peterson case. I hope the interest in DNA is not because two people were killed, Laundrie's unborn child being the other.

For the life of me, I cannot understand how any rational person can believe that. because there is public interest in one story, there cannot be in any other stories? That all other important issues are somehow being ignored? Most of our brains can manage numerous things, not be locked into interest in one thing to the exclusion of others. The obsessive ones seem to be those who persist in that fallacious one-note concept.

For those who complain about how all the other issues are being neglected because of the sad Gabby Petito murder story, have a look at the lists of posts at the bottom of each post’s page. Mine for today are below. Do you really seriously believe that I am not interested in the subjects of those articles when anyone can see that I wanted to share them with our LCom readers? Do the same thing on the post pages from others who take the time to post here. Now, who’s obsessive? And what have you posted today? This weekend? This week?

Still they come. Eager to let us all know that they don’t care at all about a story. Very important to let us know.
Go figure.

#1 Because she reminds us of ourselves when we were her age. That's why we're interested in Gabby. We went with the creepy boyfriend and ignored the gnawing feeling in our stomachs. We ignored the red flags because he said he loved us and wanted to get married. Some of us escaped our dysfunctional relationships, but she didn't get to escape. That's why we're paying attention to Gabby's story.

His family should be charged. They are a huge part of the cover up.

Interesting point #11. My apologies OP - I wasn't trying to cast aspersions on your posts. You post a variety of things and it's greatly appreciated! I was simply trying to point out that we seem to be living in Stalin's world where one death is a tragedy but a million deaths is a statistic!

I suspect they are looking for DNA matching to match skin/blood under her fingernails, as she tried to protect herself...just before he murdered Gabby!
