Why not? If he can afford it and wants to go, more power to him. Have always liked the guy, and unlike his co-star George Takei, doesn't spend his days and nights bashing me with his politics.

This is pretty cool!!! I have to wonder if, back when he was playing Capt. Kirk in the original "Star Trek" TV show back in the 1960's, if he ever dreamed he would live to be 90 -- and, much less, actually be going into space?!?!?

I love me some Shatner! I am still in love with (whisper it) Denny Crane! I don't give a damn how he feels about me. He is a good actor, and I wish him to the stars and back. GHWB jumped out of a perfectly good airplane in his 70's or 80's. I'll be 80 in January and can hardly wait to perform a bit of derring-do.

There are too many who are completely unhinged that should be nowhere near children, let alone teaching them anything.Even in the great state of Florida.Another progressive teacher was exposed for having a really bad case of Trump Derangement Syndrome in a video that surfaced this week showing her berating her students for supporting a classmate who dared to bring a Trump flag to school.Presumably, the student in question was given some sort of punishment along the lines of a suspension. I think Biden did make it worse. And part of the problem was, they promised, on day one, they would reverse all the Trump rules. Reversing the Trump rules was a good idea. Joe Biden’s staff doesn’t like him taking questions. They never know when he will gaffe. But in addition to the gaffing is the other problem that Biden has — often when he’s challenged, he tends to lie. As we reported, Biden spoke on a few subjects Friday, including Afghanistan and COVID booster shots. Unbelievably, he claimed he had “no apologies” for the debacle that he caused with the way he rolled out the Afghanistan withdrawal. He showed he has absolutely no shame. But after he finished his remarks, this time he actually took some questions. That’s where he got into trouble again. One reporter asked Biden a great question that

It seems like this warning from the CDC shouldn’t be necessary yet the agency issued an alert to medical professionals to be on the lookout for Afghan refugees with infectious disease symptoms. A few cases of infectious diseases for which most Americans are vaccinated have started popping up among the Afghan evacuees recently brought into the United States. The CDC posted an announcement on its website warning medical professionals and staff of the possibility of Afghan refugees bringing infectious diseases like measles, mumps, and rubella into the country during their evacuation. Most Americans have been vaccinated against all those diseases.

His meeting with U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson at the White House was a great example of this. Johnson took some questions from the British press. The U.S. tax code is gargantuan and convoluted beyond all human comprehension. According to the Tax Foundation, if you count the actual tax laws, you end up with over 2,600 pages. But if you add the IRS regulations and clarifications, you get another roughly 9,000 pages. Finally, if you then add tax case law, you get 70,000 more pages. Considering such vast complexity, it doesn't really matter what basic tax rates are. There is a widespread and legitimate feeling that people who can afford shrewd attorneys will always find loopholes, and therefore nothing much will change.
