Sadly, but I truly hope that Laundrie blows out his brains when the police finally close in on him. Years of trials, appeals, and oxygen wasted by people like him on death row are just that -- a huge waste...

Haven't heard for certain about the results of the autopsy, but this report certainly fits in with where the body was found. There's also a story about something spotting this guy on a deer cam today (same general build, same backpack, etc.) I really hope this crime is solved.

It's official: “Teton County Coroner Dr. Brent Blue confirmed the remains are those of Gabrielle Venora Petito, date of birth March 19, 1999,” the FBI field office in Denver announced on Twitter. “Coroner Blue’s initial determination for the manner of death is homicide,” the agency said. “The cause of death remains pending final autopsy results.”

This crime is tragic. I pray for the Petito Family Just heard on FOX that autopsy confirmed the body found is indeed Gabby. Has anyone else noticed the rims on the van are a different color and style than the van photographed by the Moab police and the video taken by the woman at the campground. They have been changed. Why were they changed and when and where was the service performed? I don't think Brian ever returned to Florida in the van. I think he flew home, then left the state. His family picked up the van and drove it back to Florida. Just thinking out-loud here.

I would like to know how the MSM conspired to make this awful event so much more important than the numerous other murders committed each day in the country? The drive-by media takes serious the mantra 'if it bleeds, it leads.' Couldn't they find a daily tragedy in Chicago to generate matching sensation headlines similar with this story?

If he has been in that Florida swamp for a week chances are the gators or the skeeters or a big poisonous snake got him or he knocked himself off. But he may not have been in that swamp at all? At this point who knows? So called “Van Life” appears to be fashionable in the North West. But I would go nuts living that close to my wife 24/7 in a small van even though I am used to her, having been been married to her for over 50 years.

At the Sept. 21 Senate Homeland Security Committee hearing on counterterrorism, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas touted a raft of new programs aimed at combating domestic extremism—many of which are raising red flags among interest groups across the political spectrum. The new DHS plans follow a March 2021 intelligence community report that deems white supremacy and violent domestic extremism as the most dangerous terrorism threat to the homeland. Mayorkas made similar statements at the Sept. 21 hearing. “Today, U.S.-based lone actors and small groups, including homegrown violent extremists and domestic violent extremists—who are inspired by a broad range of ideological motivations—pose the most significant and persistent terrorism-related threat to our country,” Mayorkas said.

During a Senate hearing Tuesday, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas claimed the Biden Regime’s border policies are “working,” and have led to a drop of encounters at the U.S.-Mexico border. Mayorkas was responding to Senator Josh Hawley (R-Mo.), who was grilling the DHS chief about the ongoing surge of illegal immigrants at the border during a Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee hearing(snip) After noting that Mayorkas had previously testified to Congress that DHS had “a plan,” and was “executing the plan,” Hawley pointed out that for two straight months, in July and August, US Customs and Border Protection officials had encountered more than 200,000 illegal immigrants.

The antiviral remdesivir treatment reduced the risk of hospitalization among COVID-19 patients when administered soon after they were diagnosed, according to a new study. Researchers found that remdesivir cut hospitalization risk by 87 percent compared to a placebo that half of the study participants received. Some 562 patients, all deemed at high-risk from COVID-19, were enrolled in the trial. Gilead Sciences, which conducted the Phase 3 randomized, double-blind trial, stopped enrollment in April because the company struggled to find enough participants. But it continued to follow those who had enrolled, half of whom were given a placebo.

LOS ANGELES — California has the lowest coronavirus transmission rate of any state following a sharp decline in cases and hospitalizations after a summer surge. The nation’s most populous state is the only one experiencing “substantial” coronavirus transmission, the second-highest level on the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s color-coded map. So is Puerto Rico. In all other U.S. states, virus transmission is labeled as “high,” defined as 100 or more cases per 100,000 people in the last week. California’s rate is 94 cases per 100,000. By comparison, Texas is 386 and Florida is 296.

After a pandemic pause, momentum in behavioral genetics is once again building, threatening to undermine confidence in the conventional woke wisdom. Now, I’ve been warning against genetic triumphalism because the world keeps changing and nobody knows what will come next. But the prospect for the left of being intellectually humiliated by future findings appears much worse. The last major empirical contribution that boosted the left’s position in the IQ-race-genes argument was the late James Flynn’s discovery more than forty years ago of the Flynn Effect of rising raw IQ test scores. One line, however, seems to reverberate for those of us who have followed this scandal for years now: “You do realize that we will have to expose every trick we have in our bag.” That warning from an unnamed “university researcher” captures the most fascinating aspect of the indictment in describing a type of Nixonian dirty tricks operation run by — or at least billed to — the Clinton

The news was heartbreaking and what everyone feared. On Sunday, a body believed to be that of a missing woman, Gabby Petito, was found a camping area in Wyoming's Bridger-Teton National Forest, near Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. Her boyfriend, Brian Laundrie, who was traveling with her, has meanwhile vanished. He is now the subject of an intensive search in Florida where the couple lived. Whether law enforcement is officially calling him a suspect in Petito’s death is immaterial and nothing more than the parsing of legally-loaded vocabulary. Police and the FBI are certainly treating him as a suspect. And for good reason.

Scientists have created the ultimate GM crop: contraceptive corn. Waiving fields of maize may one day save the world from overpopulation. The pregnancy prevention plants are the handiwork of the San Diego biotechnology company Epicyte, where researchers have discovered a rare class of human antibodies that attack sperm. By isolating the genes that regulate the manufacture of these antibodies, and by putting them in corn plants, the company has created tiny horticultural factories that make contraceptives. 'We have a hothouse filled with corn plants that make anti-sperm antibodies,' said Epicyte president Mitch Hein.
