Why I don't have faith in John Durham

Original Article

Thomas Lifson wrote, "I am cautiously optimistic over the indictment handed down yesterday, accusing attorney Michael Sussman, then of Perkins Coie, representing the Hillary Clinton campaign, of lying to the FBI. (snip)"But what gives me hope is the possibility of conspiracy charges developing. The statute of limitations on lying to the FBI was about to expire, so Durham's team had to indict now, (snip)But I go by track record, and John Durham's track record shows he is a good investigator and a smart bureaucrat. He will go just deep enough in his prosecutions to satisfy the public but not so far as to endanger the establishment.

Comments:

Former newspaperman Surber has his own long memory to serve him. He brings a perspective that many of us do not have. Well worth a read.

Any good bureaucrat can make nothing happen as slowly as necessary. Except for a dwindling few, this case has run its public course. PDT is now FPDT and the UNIPARTY profiteering goes on in high gear...but we know it's just those Dem commies...even after Mitch makes the best deal he could.

I am fairly convinced that the invisible Mr. Durham's job has been to carefully go over all these crimes by the Deep State thugs with a fine tooth comb. He has carefully sifted through all the evidence and gathered it all together in one place. Then he will burn it all, ensuring that no future effort by an honest investigator will be able to find one shred of evidence of all the massive criminality which was used by the Deep State thugs in the FBI, CIA and DoJ to take down a President. This is the invisible Mr. Durhams's job. He is The Cleaner, Winston Wolf, in Pulp Fiction.

Not much to disagree with. As to the whitey bulger matter, good old mueller was sued for wrongful imprisonment- of bulger’s competitors?- and they collected LARGE damages against the US. Perhaps a payoff? Or just a law suit. And you would have to be stupid to cross The Establishment at Durham’s level; the truth would be buried, you would be disgraced and discredited. And who knows what else. I was happy to hear Bongino reading from the indictment and hearing it say that the whole Russiagate matter was a criminal persecution/prosecution. The Gullibles might slightly awaken if hillary were indicted (never); they will never awaken enough to comprehend what the text of the indictment says. But at least it’s been written down for me to look at when I wonder if I’m crazy. And since it is written down perhaps it will take on a life of it own like the clitton impeachment. There is no doubt what that cad did; at least it’s not buried in FBI archives.

I hope Don Surber is aware - - that John Durham is an outstanding miniature golfer - - one of the best there has ever been. I hope Mr. Surber takes the time and trouble to visit Mike & Millie's Mini-Golf in Guilford, CT - - to see firsthand just how good Durham is. I think Surber's reporting will change dramatically after that.

The 26-page indictment of former cybersecurity attorney and Hillary Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann by special counsel John Durham is as detailed as it is damning on the alleged effort to push a false Russia collusion claim before the 2016 presidential campaign. One line, however, seems to reverberate for those of us who have followed this scandal for years now: “You do realize that we will have to expose every trick we have in our bag.” That warning from an unnamed “university researcher” captures the most fascinating aspect of the indictment in describing a type of Nixonian dirty tricks operation run by — or at least billed to — the Clinton

The news was heartbreaking and what everyone feared. On Sunday, a body believed to be that of a missing woman, Gabby Petito, was found a camping area in Wyoming's Bridger-Teton National Forest, near Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. Her boyfriend, Brian Laundrie, who was traveling with her, has meanwhile vanished. He is now the subject of an intensive search in Florida where the couple lived. Whether law enforcement is officially calling him a suspect in Petito’s death is immaterial and nothing more than the parsing of legally-loaded vocabulary. Police and the FBI are certainly treating him as a suspect. And for good reason.

The scientific method used to govern much of popular American thinking. In empirical fashion, scientists advised us to examine evidence and data, and then by induction come to rational hypotheses. The enemies of “science” were politics, superstition, bias, and deduction. Yet we are now returning to our version of medieval alchemy and astrology in rejecting a millennium of the scientific method. Take the superstitions that now surround COVID-19. We now know from data that a prior case of COVID-19 offers immunity as robust as vaccination. Why, then, are Joe Biden’s proposed vaccination mandates ignoring that scientific fact? Dr. Anthony Fauci, when asked, seemed at a loss for words.

They were a gruesome twosome. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were both in on withdrawing from Afghanistan. They apparently both ignored the various memos and reports from the State Department and elsewhere that painted a much more dismal picture of what things were like on the ground. I take that back; Joe did know. That’s why he phoned now-ex-Afghan President Ashraf Ghani prior to his government’s collapse to essentially lie about the state of his country. Biden wanted Ghani to be ‘Baghdad Bob,’ but Ghani was more concerned about modernizing Afghanistan’s economy than the deteriorating security situation.
