St. Paul's Hmong Cultural Center vandalized

St. Paul's Hmong Cultural Center was vandalized early Wednesday, weeks before its museum was set to open to the public. Director of Programs Mark Pfeifer found the University Avenue building drenched in white paint when he arrived at work Wednesday morning. Stenciled over the paint was "Life, Liberty, Victory," a phrase associated with a white nationalist hate group.(Snip)"I mean, it was shocking." Vandals spray painted over Black artwork on plywood boards that have protected the Cultural Center since its windows were broken during last summer's unrest after George Floyd's murder by a Minneapolis police officer. The tattoo parlor next door caught much of the incident on camera

Comments:

Picture it, if you will. Windows of the Hmong Cultural Center smashed out and replaced by bLACK Lives Matter "artwork" is part of a larger conversation on social justice, but some kids who paint that over are guilty of Anti-Asian hate crimes because finally, they found one committed by anyone other than a bLACK person. And where does Director of Programs Mark Pfeifer get off representing this group when quite clearly he is not a Hmong-American?

Worth mentioning, if anyone is unaware... The Hmong fought the Communists with us in S.E. Asia. Throughout history, they have been hunted down by Chinese Emporers and Communist Dictators, and the USA could have been more supportive in return for the sacrafices we asked them to make. I've never once met a "white nationalist hate group"... Unless... Did Zoë Jackson mean us over here at Lucianne.com?

The people upset by alleged White supremacist vandalism now want people held accountable for some vandalism? Where were they last year when mobs of feral Blacks were burning, vandalizing, and looting the city. It wasn't a problem then. Also a reminder, most of the anti-Asian violence was/is committed by Black people. All of this was conveniently forgotten and not mentioned in the article.

President Biden had barely finished speaking to the nation about his crackdown on the unvaccinated before news broke that he was exempting a powerful union ally. The Washington Post reported Thursday night that his executive order forcing federal workers to take a COVID-19 vaccine does not include U.S. Postal Service workers. Citing “a White House official speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss not-yet-public portions of the president’s plan,” the Post reported that those workers merely would be strongly encouraged to follow the mandate. The Postal Service employs almost 650,000 people nationwide. Many are represented by the American Postal Workers Union, which has been critical

Vice President Kamala Harris criticized new abortion restrictions in Texas Thursday as an “abortion bounty law empowering vigilantes” and said Congress needs to “codify” the 1973 Supreme Court ruling that legalized abortion. Meeting at the White House with abortion rights advocates, Ms. Harris praised the Justice Department for filing a lawsuit to block the Texas law, which bars abortions as early as six weeks into a pregnancy and offers $10,000 for private parties to sue anyone who “aids or abets” an abortion.(Snip)“The right of women to make decisions about their own bodies is not negotiable,” the vice president said.

Mr. Rubio, the top Republican on the Intelligence Committee, called it a “Chinese Communist Party (CCP)-controlled” app. In a letter to CIA Director William Burns, the Florida senator said the social media platform and other “Chinese-owned apps” pose a significant risk to national security and urged Mr. Burns to stay clear. Mr. Rubio’s concerns piqued following a report Wednesday by Politico about the CIA’s social media strategy to demystify the spy agency and recruit a more diverse workforce.

The American Federation of Government Employees, which is part of the AFL-CIO and represents over 670,000 federal workers, said they encourage members to get vaccinated. However, they said COVID-19 vaccine requirements should be negotiated with the unions during collective bargaining, not mandated through an executive order. “Workers deserve a voice in their working conditions,” said the union’s national president Everett Kelly. “We expect to bargain over this change prior to implementation.” The National Treasury Employees Union, which represents 150,000 employees across 31 agencies,

One key prong of President Biden's plan to bankroll Democrats' $3.5 trillion budget plan is to monitor every inflow and outflow of an individual's bank account. The proposal would require banks to report to the IRS every deposit and withdrawal from an account, including transactions from Venmo, PayPal, crypto exchanges and the like in an effort to fight tax evasion. This Sept. 11, a diminished president will preside over a diminished nation. [Snip] Joe Biden was supposed to be the man of the hour: a calming presence exuding decency, moderation and trust. As a candidate, he sold himself as a transitional president, a fatherly figure in the mold of George H.W.
