Two high-ranking officials who oversee vaccines for the Food and Drug Administration have decided to retire this fall, raising concerns about continuity during a pandemic and an ongoing intra-government debate over COVID-19 booster shots. Marion Gruber, director of the FDA’s Office of Vaccines Research and Review, plans to depart on Oct. 31 and Deputy Director Philip Krause will leave in November, according to an agency letter from Peter Marks, chief of the FDA‘s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research.(Snip)But the high-level departures are sure to raise questions about the agency and possible tensions over the government’s COVID-19 vaccine strategy. Comments:

Because this is America, they leave not in handcuffs, but with lavish pensions and accolades, and probably nice board positions with Pfizer, too.

FTA: "President Biden hasn’t nominated a permanent FDA commissioner, despite being seven months into his term and the ongoing pandemic." You know who would make an idea FDA commissioner? How about former FDA commissioner Dr. Scott Gottlieb, who is now on Pfizer's board of directors? It's no different from how the USA cycles its Treasury Department heads back and forth from Goldman Sachs; all on the level, hanging out there for all to see.

There is good science behind the M-RNA vaccine, the first used widely on people, but not, I believe, successfully on guinea pigs. It is widely assumed that it decreases the incidence and severity of the Covid cold virus. However, don’t be surprised if there are several more shoes to drop, and possibly heads to roll. Please advise us if you know differently.

Nearly all the people arrested by a Beverly Hills police taskforce over the past year were Black, according to a new lawsuit which alleges egregious racial profiling in the wealthy California city. The complaint, filed Tuesday by the prominent civil rights lawyer Benjamin Crump, alleges that out of 106 people arrested by a Beverly Hills police “safe streets” taskforce, 105 were Black and one was a dark-skinned Latino person. Between March 2020 and July 2021, the unit unjustly stopped and arrested Black civilians who were roller skating, scootering, driving and jaywalking a few feet outside the crosswalk, the suit said. The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Milley made the comment—offering no elaboration—during a Pentagon briefing alongside Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin in response to a question about what communication between US military officials and Taliban leaders during the evacuation of Afghanistan meant for the relationship between the two and “the possibility of any kind of coordination in counter-terrorism operations against ISIS-K in Afghanistan.” Austin responded first, saying that “we were working with the Taliban on a very narrow set of issues,

A serial pervert has been terrorizing a Brooklyn neighborhood by repeatedly exposing himself to kids— but keeps getting cut loose thanks to New York’s lax bail reform laws, The Post has learned. Harry Zucker, a scraggly, white-haired 77-year-old with an apparent penchant for fondling himself in public in front of children, has exposed himself five times since April 27, according to court records. But the creep keeps getting sprung because judges are largely barred from imposing bail on the misdemeanor charges, the filings show.(Snip)Zucker lives right next door to PS 199’s playground and is often spotted lounging on a dingy piece of lawn furniture

Other photos help dispel the narrative of the person being executed, the agency added. Thousands of social media users had seen the footage by then, however.

If an intruder entered my home and threatened my wife and child, I would shoot until I was able to ensure the target was immobilized.
